ਜਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਅਬਿਬੇਕ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਦਲ ਸਹਿਤ ਬਖਾਨੇ ॥
jih prakaar abibek nripat dal sahit bakhaane |
The way in which the army of the king Avivek has been described
ਨਾਮ ਠਾਮ ਆਭਰਨ ਸੁ ਰਥ ਸਭ ਕੇ ਹਮ ਜਾਨੇ ॥
naam tthaam aabharan su rath sabh ke ham jaane |
We have known all his warriors with their name, place, garment, chariot etc.,
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਰੁ ਧਨੁਖ ਧੁਜਾ ਜਿਹ ਬਰਣ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
sasatr asatr ar dhanukh dhujaa jih baran uchaaree |
ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੁਨਿ ਦੇਵ ਸਕਲ ਸੁ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
tvaprasaad mun dev sakal su bibek bichaaree |
The way in which their arms, weapons, bows and banners have been described, in the same way, O great sage! kindly describe your views about Vivek,
ਕਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਸਕਲ ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਹੇ ਤਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਵਹੈ ਬਖਾਨੀਐ ॥
kar kripaa sakal jih bidh kahe tih bidh vahai bakhaaneeai |
And present a complete narration about him
ਕਿਹ ਛਬਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਕਿਹ ਦੁਤਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਅਨੁਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੨੨੮॥
kih chhab prabhaav kih dut nripat nrip bibek anumaaneeai |228|
O great sage! give your assessment about the beauty and impact of Vivek.1.228.
ਅਧਿਕ ਨ︀ਯਾਸ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੀਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
adhik nayaas mun keen mantr bahu bhaat uchaare |
The sage made a great effort and recited many mantras
ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਸਧੇ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
tantr bhalee bidh sadhe jantr bahu bidh likh ddaare |
He performed practices of several kinds of Tantras and Yantras
ਅਤਿ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੁਐ ਆਪ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਤਿਹ ॥
at pavitr huai aap bahur uchaar karo tih |
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਅਬਿਬੇਕ ਸਹਿਤ ਸੈਨ ਕਥ︀ਯੋ ਜਿਹ ॥
nrip bibek abibek sahit sain kathayo jih |
Becoming extremely pure, he spoke again and the way in which he had described Avivek alongwith his army, he also narrated in the same way about the king Vivek
ਸੁਰ ਅਸੁਰ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸ ਭਏ ਅਨਲ ਪਵਨ ਸਸਿ ਸੂਰ ਸਬ ॥
sur asur chakrit chahu dis bhe anal pavan sas soor sab |
The Gods, Demons, Agni, Wind, Surya and Chandra, all were wonder-struck
ਕਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਜਕੇ ਜਛ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਸਬ ॥੨੨੯॥
kih bidh prakaas kar hai sanghaar jake jachh gandharab sab |229|
Even Yakshas and Gandharvas were also immersed in astonishment thinking how the light of Vivek will destroy the darkness of Avivek.2.229.
ਸੇਤ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਰ ਧਰੈ ਸੇਤ ਬਾਜੀ ਰਥ ਰਾਜਤ ॥
set chhatr sir dharai set baajee rath raajat |
ਸੇਤ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਤਨ ਸਜੇ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭਾਜਤ ॥
set sasatr tan saje nirakh sur nar bhram bhaajat |
Seeing the one with white canopy, white chariot and white horses and holding white weapons, the gods and men flee in illusion
ਚੰਦ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹਤ ਭਾਨੁ ਭਵਤਾ ਲਖਿ ਭੁਲਤ ॥
chand chakrit hvai rehat bhaan bhavataa lakh bhulat |
ਭ੍ਰਮਰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਲਖਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਅਸੁਰ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਡਗ ਡੁਲਤ ॥
bhramar prabhaa lakh bhramat asur sur nar ddag ddulat |
The god Chandra is astonished and the god Surya, seeing his glory is also wavering
ਇਹ ਛਬਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਤਿ ਬਲਿਸਟ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥
eih chhab bibek raajaa nripat at balisatt tih maaneeai |
O king! this beauty belongs to Vivek, who may be considered extremely powerful
ਮੁਨਿ ਗਨ ਮਹੀਪ ਬੰਦਤ ਸਕਲ ਤੀਨਿ ਲੋਕਿ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥੨੩੦॥
mun gan maheep bandat sakal teen lok meh jaaneeai |230|
The sages and kings pray before him in all the three worlds.3.230.
ਚਮਰ ਚਾਰੁ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਢੁਰਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਵਤ ॥
chamar chaar chahoon or dturat sundar chhab paavat |
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਹੰਸ ਤਿਹ ਢੁਰਨਿ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਵਰਹਿ ਲਜਾਵਤ ॥
nirakh hans tih dturan maan saravareh lajaavat |
He, on whom the fly-whisk is swinging from all the four sides and seeing whom, the swans of Mansarover feel shy
ਅਤਿ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਬ ਗਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਜਿਹ ਸੋਹਤ ॥
at pavitr sab gaat prabhaa at hee jih sohat |
He is extremely pure, glorious and beautiful
ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਨਾਗ ਸੁਰੇਸ ਜਛ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਮਨ ਮੋਹਤ ॥
sur nar naag sures jachh kinar man mohat |
He allures the mind of all the gods, men, Nagas, Indra, Yakshas, kinnars etc
ਇਹ ਛਬਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਚੜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
eih chhab bibek raajaa nripat jidin kamaan charraae hai |
ਬਿਨੁ ਅਬਿਬੇਕ ਸੁਨਿ ਹੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਸੁ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਬਾਨ ਚਲਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੧॥
bin abibek sun ho nripat su aaur na baan chalaae hai |231|
The day on which Vivek of such beauty will be ready to discharge his arrow, he will not discharge it on anyone else except Avivek.4.231.
ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਅਬਿਕਾਰ ਤੇਜ ਆਖੰਡ ਅਤੁਲ ਬਲ ॥
at prachandd abikaar tej aakhandd atul bal |
He is extremely powerful, vice-less, lustrous and incommensurably strong
ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਅਤਿ ਸੂਰ ਤੂਰ ਬਾਜਤ ਜਿਹ ਜਲ ਥਲ ॥
at prataap at soor toor baajat jih jal thal |
He is extremely glorious warrior and his drum sounds at all places including water and plain
ਪਵਨ ਬੇਗ ਰਥ ਚਲਤ ਪੇਖਿ ਚਪਲਾ ਚਿਤ ਲਾਜਤ ॥
pavan beg rath chalat pekh chapalaa chit laajat |
His chariot moves with the speed of wind and seeing his speed, even the lightning feels shy in its mind
ਸੁਨਤ ਸਬਦ ਚਕ ਚਾਰ ਮੇਘ ਮੋਹਤ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਾਜਤ ॥
sunat sabad chak chaar megh mohat bhram bhaajat |
Hearing him thundering violently, the clouds of all the four directions flee in confusion
ਜਲ ਥਲ ਅਜੇਅ ਅਨਭੈ ਭਟ ਅਤਿ ਉਤਮ ਪਰਵਾਨੀਐ ॥
jal thal ajea anabhai bhatt at utam paravaaneeai |
ਧੀਰਜੁ ਸੁ ਨਾਮ ਜੋਧਾ ਬਿਕਟ ਅਤਿ ਸੁਬਾਹੁ ਜਗ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੨੩੨॥
dheeraj su naam jodhaa bikatt at subaahu jag maaneeai |232|
He is considered unconquerable, fearless and a superb warrior in water and on plain, this invincible and mighty one is named Endurance by the world.5.232.
ਧਰਮ ਧੀਰ ਬੀਰ ਜਸਮੀਰ ਅਨਭੀਰ ਬਿਕਟ ਮਤਿ ॥
dharam dheer beer jasameer anabheer bikatt mat |
The Dharma-incarnate Endurance is extremely powerful in most difficult times
ਕਲਪ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਕੁਬ੍ਰਿਤਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਜਸ ਤਿਲਕ ਸੁਭਟ ਅਤਿ ॥
kalap brichh kubritan kripaan jas tilak subhatt at |
He is like Elysian tree (Kalapvrikasha) and chops the evil modification with his sword
ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੁ ਅਤਿ ਓਜ ਅਨਲ ਸਰ ਤੇਜ ਜਰੇ ਰਣ ॥
at prataap at oj anal sar tej jare ran |
He is extremely glorious, brilliant like the fire, he blazes all in the war with his speech
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਵ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਹਿਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਏਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਣ ॥
braham asatr siv asatr nahin maanat ekai bran |
He does not care even for Brahma-astra and Shiva-astra
ਇਹ ਦੁਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਜਬ ਛੰਡਿ ਹੈ ॥
eih dut prakaas brit chhatr nrip sasatr asatr jab chhandd hai |
ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਅਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੁਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਆਹਵ ਮੰਡਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੩॥
bin ek abrit subrit nripat avar na aahav mandd hai |233|
When this warriors named Suvriti (good modification) will strike his arms and weapons in the war, and else will be able to fight with him except Kuvriti (evil modification).6.233.
ਅਛਿਜ ਗਾਤ ਅਨਭੰਗ ਤੇਜ ਆਖੰਡ ਅਨਿਲ ਬਲ ॥
achhij gaat anabhang tej aakhandd anil bal |
ਪਵਨ ਬੇਗ ਰਥ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੁ ਜਾਨਤ ਜੀਅ ਜਲ ਥਲ ॥
pavan beg rath ko prataap jaanat jeea jal thal |
This glorious one of indestructible body and brilliance, completely strong like fire and driving his chariot with the speed of wind, all the beings in water and on plain know him
ਧਨੁਖ ਬਾਨ ਪਰਬੀਨ ਛੀਨ ਸਬ ਅੰਗ ਬ੍ਰਿਤਨ ਕਰਿ ॥
dhanukh baan parabeen chheen sab ang britan kar |
He is a skilful archer, but because of his fasting all his limbs are weak
ਅਤਿ ਸੁਬਾਹ ਸੰਜਮ ਸੁਬੀਰ ਜਾਨਤ ਨਾਰੀ ਨਰ ॥
at subaah sanjam subeer jaanat naaree nar |
All the men and women know him by the name of Sanjamveer (disciplined warrior)
ਗਹਿ ਧਨੁਖ ਬਾਨ ਪਾਨਹਿ ਧਰਮ ਪਰਮ ਰੂਪ ਧਰਿ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
geh dhanukh baan paaneh dharam param roop dhar garaj hai |
ਬਿਨੁ ਇਕ ਅਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੁਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਆਨਿ ਬਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੪॥
bin ik abrit subrit nripat aaur na aan baraj hai |234|
When, holding his bow and arrow, he will thunder in his superb form, then none can withhold him except Kuvriti.7.234.
ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਾਰੁ ਚੰਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਬਾਜੀ ਰਥ ਸੋਹਤ ॥
chakrit chaar chanchal prakaas baajee rath sohat |
He is a mighty warrior named Nem (principle), his chariot is drawn by comely and restless horses
ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਧੁਨਿ ਛੀਨ ਬੀਨ ਬਾਜਤ ਮਨ ਮੋਹਤ ॥
at prabeen dhun chheen been baajat man mohat |
He is extremely skilful, soft-spoken and allures the mind like lyre
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੂਪ ਸੁਭ ਧਰੇ ਨੇਮ ਨਾਮਾ ਭਟ ਭੈ ਕਰ ॥
prem roop subh dhare nem naamaa bhatt bhai kar |
ਪਰਮ ਰੂਪ ਪਰਮੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਜੁਧ ਜੈ ਅਰਿ ਛੈ ਕਰ ॥
param roop paraman prataap judh jai ar chhai kar |
He is supremely glorious and is the destroyer of enemies of all the world
ਅਸ ਅਮਿਟ ਬੀਰ ਧੀਰਾ ਬਡੋ ਅਤਿ ਬਲਿਸਟ ਦੁਰ ਧਰਖ ਰਣਿ ॥
as amitt beer dheeraa baddo at balisatt dur dharakh ran |
His sword is indestructible and he proves to be very strong in severe wars
ਅਨਭੈ ਅਭੰਜ ਅਨਮਿਟ ਸੁਧੀਸ ਅਨਬਿਕਾਰ ਅਨਜੈ ਸੁ ਭਣ ॥੨੩੫॥
anabhai abhanj anamitt sudhees anabikaar anajai su bhan |235|
He is said to be dearless, indestructible, the Lore of consciousness, vice-less and unconquerable.8.235.
ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਅਮਿਤੋਜ ਅਮਿਟ ਅਨਭੈ ਅਭੰਗ ਭਟ ॥
at prataap amitoj amitt anabhai abhang bhatt |
He is a warrior infinite glory, fearless and eternal
ਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਚਪਲਾ ਸੁ ਚਾਰੁ ਚਮਕਤ ਹੈ ਅਨਕਟ ॥
rath pramaan chapalaa su chaar chamakat hai anakatt |
His chariot is volatile and lustrous like lightning
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਤਿਹ ਤੇਜ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਯਭੀਤ ਭਜਤ ਰਣਿ ॥
nirakh satru tih tej chakrit bhayabheet bhajat ran |
Seeing him, the enemies, getting fearful, run away from war-arena
ਧਰਤ ਧੀਰ ਨਹਿ ਬੀਰ ਤੀਰ ਸਰ ਹੈ ਨਹੀ ਹਠਿ ਰਣਿ ॥
dharat dheer neh beer teer sar hai nahee hatth ran |
Looking at him, the warriors forsake their patience and the warriors cannot discharge arrows persistently
ਬਿਗ੍ਰਯਾਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਨਭੈ ਸੁਭਟ ਅਤਿ ਬਲਿਸਟ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
bigrayaan naam anabhai subhatt at balisatt tih jaaneeai |
This powerful hero known by the name of Vigyan (Science)
ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦੇਸਿ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਸਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਘਰਨ ਘਰਿ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੨੩੬॥
agiaan des jaa ko sadaa traas gharan ghar maaneeai |236|
In the country of a Agyan (ignorance), the people fear him in every home.9.236.
ਬਮਤ ਜ੍ਵਾਲ ਡਮਰੂ ਕਰਾਲ ਡਿਮ ਡਿਮ ਰਣਿ ਬਜਤ ॥
bamat jvaal ddamaroo karaal ddim ddim ran bajat |
ਘਨ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਚਕ ਸਬਦ ਘਹਰਿ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਗਲ ਗਜਤ ॥
ghan pramaan chak sabad ghehar jaa ko gal gajat |
He blazes like fire, sounds like the dreadful tabor and roars like the thundering clouds
ਸਿਮਟਿ ਸਾਗ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਤ ਸਰਕਿ ਸਾਮੁਹ ਅਰਿ ਝਾਰਤ ॥
simatt saag sangrahat sarak saamuh ar jhaarat |
Holding his lance, he springs and strikes his blow on the enemy
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਤਾਸੁ ਸੁਰ ਅਸੁਰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੈ ਸਬਦ ਉਚਾਰਤ ॥
nirakh taas sur asur braham jai sabad uchaarat |
Seeing him, all the gods and demons hail him
ਇਸਨਾਨ ਨਾਮ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਜੁਤ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਧਨੁਖ ਗਹਿ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
eisanaan naam abhimaan jut jidin dhanukh geh garaj hai |
The day on which this warrior named Snan (bath) will thunder takinghis bow in his hand,
ਬਿਨੁ ਇਕ ਕੁਚੀਲ ਸਾਮੁਹਿ ਸਮਰ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਤਾਸੁ ਬਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੭॥
bin ik kucheel saamuhi samar aaur na taas baraj hai |237|
On that day, none else will be able to obstruct him except Malinta (uncleanliness).10.237.
ਇਕਿ ਨਿਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਅਤਿ ਬੀਰ ਦੁਤੀਅ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਮਹਾ ਭਟ ॥
eik nibrit at beer duteea bhaavanaa mahaa bhatt |
The first warrior is Nivratti (free) and the second warrior is Bhavana (emotion),
ਅਤਿ ਬਲਿਸਟ ਅਨਮਿਟ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਨਛਿਜ ਅਨਾਕਟ ॥
at balisatt anamitt apaar anachhij anaakatt |
Who are extremely powerful, indestructible and invincible
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਿ ਗਜ ਹੈ ਜਬ ਭੀਰ ਭਾਜਿ ਹੈ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰਣਿ ॥
sasatr dhaar gaj hai jab bheer bhaaj hai nirakh ran |
When these warriors, holding their weapons, will thunder in the battlefield, seeing them there the fighters will run away
ਪਤ੍ਰ ਭੇਸ ਭਹਰਾਤ ਧੀਰ ਧਰ ਹੈ ਨ ਅਨਗਣ ॥
patr bhes bhaharaat dheer dhar hai na anagan |
Those warriors will tremble like the yellow leaf and lose patience
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁ ਧੀਰ ਜੋਧਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਅਯੋਧਨ ਰਚਿ ਹੈ ॥
eih bidh su dheer jodhaa nripat jidin ayodhan rach hai |
In this way the day on which these mighty ones will begin fighting,
ਤਜ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ਸਕਲ ਏਕ ਨ ਬੀਰ ਬਿਰਚ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੮॥
taj sasatr asatr bhaj hai sakal ek na beer birach hai |238|
Then the fighters in the field will forsake their arms and weapons and no one will survive.11.238.

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਪਾਈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁ ਚਲਤੌ ਭਇਓ ਅਰੂੜਾ ॥
satasangat saadh paaee vaddabhaagee man chalatau bheo aroorraa |
In the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I found the Holy, by great good fortune; my restless mind has been quieted.
ਅਨਹਤ ਧੁਨਿ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਵਾਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਧਾਰ ਰਸਿ ਲੀੜਾ ॥੧॥
anahat dhun vaajeh nit vaaje har amrit dhaar ras leerraa |1|
The unstruck melody ever vibrates and resounds; I have taken in the sublime essence of the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar, showering down. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੂੜਾ ॥
mere man jap raam naam har roorraa |
O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, the beauteous Lord.
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਲਾਇ ਝਪੀੜਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
merai man tan preet lagaaee satigur har milio laae jhapeerraa | rahaau |
The True Guru has drenched my mind and body with the Love of the Lord, who has met me and lovingly embraced me. ||Pause||
ਸਾਕਤ ਬੰਧ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਸੰਚਹਿ ਲਾਇ ਜਕੀੜਾ ॥
saakat bandh bhe hai maaeaa bikh sancheh laae jakeerraa |
The faithless cynics are bound and gagged in the chains of Maya; they are actively engaged, gathering in the poisonous wealth.
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਅਰਥਿ ਖਰਚਿ ਨਹ ਸਾਕਹਿ ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਸਹਹਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਪੀੜਾ ॥੨॥
har kai arath kharach neh saakeh jamakaal saheh sir peerraa |2|
They cannot spend this in harmony with the Lord, and so they must endure the pain which the Messenger of Death inflicts upon their heads. ||2||
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਅਰਥਿ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਬਹੁ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਇ ਮੁਖਿ ਧੂੜਾ ॥
jin har arath sareer lagaaeaa gur saadhoo bahu saradhaa laae mukh dhoorraa |
The Holy Guru has dedicated His Being to the Lord's service; with great devotion, apply the dust of His feet to your face.
ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਗਾ ਮਨਿ ਗੂੜਾ ॥੩॥
halat palat har sobhaa paaveh har rang lagaa man goorraa |3|
In this world and the next, you shall receive the Lord's honor, and your mind shall be imbued with the permanent color of the Lord's Love. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਜਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਹਮ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ ਕੀੜਾ ॥
har har mel mel jan saadhoo ham saadh janaa kaa keerraa |
O Lord, Har, Har, please unite me with the Holy; compared to these Holy people, I am just a worm.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗੀ ਪਗ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਪਾਖਾਣੁ ਹਰਿਓ ਮਨੁ ਮੂੜਾ ॥੪॥੬॥
jan naanak preet lagee pag saadh gur mil saadhoo paakhaan hario man moorraa |4|6|
Servant Nanak has enshrined love for the feet of the Holy Guru; meeting with this Holy One, my foolish, stone-like mind has blossomed forth in lush profusion. ||4||6||

Remembering Him in meditation, pains are dispelled.

har har satigur purakh milaavahu gur miliai sukh hoee raam |1|

madhusoodan har maadho praanaa |
The Lord, the Slayer of demons, is my breath of life.
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਨਾ ॥
merai man tan amrit meetth lagaanaa |
His Ambrosial Amrit is so sweet to my mind and body.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
har har deaa karahu gur melahu purakh niranjan soee raam |3|
O Lord, Har, Har, have mercy upon me, and lead me to meet the Guru, the immaculate Primal Being. ||3||

har har naam sadaa sukhadaataa |
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is forever the Giver of peace.
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
har kai rang meraa man raataa |
My mind is imbued with the Lord's Love.

har har har jas ghoomar paavahu mil satasang oumaahaa raam |2|
Dance to the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, Har; meet with the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, with sincerity. ||2||
ਆਉ ਸਖੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਹਾ ॥
aau sakhee har mel milaahaa |
Come, O companions - let us unite in the Lord's Union.
ਸੁਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ॥
sun har kathaa naam lai laahaa |
Listening to the sermon of the Lord, earn the profit of the Naam.

ਕਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਜਸੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹਾ ॥
kar keerat jas agam athaahaa |
Praise Him, the unfathomable and inaccessible Lord.
ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਗਾਵਾਹਾ ॥
khin khin raam naam gaavaahaa |
Each and every moment, sing the Lord's Name.
ਮੋ ਕਉ ਧਾਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਦਾਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਿ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੪॥੨॥੮॥
