ਤਾਗੜਦੀ ਤੁਰ ਬਾਜ ਹੈ ਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਜੋਧਾ ਜਬ ਜੁਟਹਿ ॥
taagarradee tur baaj hai jaagarradee jodhaa jab jutteh |
When the warriors will confront one another, the warriors horns will be blown
ਲਾਗੜਦੀ ਲੁਥ ਬਿਥੁਰਹਿ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸੰਨਾਹ ਸੁ ਤੁਟਹਿ ॥
laagarradee luth bithureh saagarradee sanaah su tutteh |
The lances will break and the corpses will be scattered
ਭਾਗੜਦੀ ਭੂਤ ਭੈਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧ ਅਰੁ ਸਿਧ ਨਿਹਾਰਹਿ ॥
bhaagarradee bhoot bhairo prasidh ar sidh nihaareh |
The Bhairavas and ghosts will run and the adepts will see this spectacle
ਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਜਛ ਜੁਗਣੀ ਜੂਥ ਜੈ ਸਬਦ ਉਚਾਰਹਿ ॥
jaagarradee jachh juganee jooth jai sabad uchaareh |
The Yakshas and Yoginis will hail the warriors
ਸੰਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸੁਭਟ ਸੰਜਮ ਅਮਿਟ ਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕ੍ਰੁਧ ਜਬ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
sansaagarradee subhatt sanjam amitt kaagarradee krudh jab garaj hai |
ਦੰਦਾਗੜਦੀ ਇਕ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਗੜਦੀ ਸੁ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਬਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੯॥
dandaagarradee ik duramat binaa aagarradee su aaur na baraj hai |239|
When the warriors named Sanjam (Restraint) will thunder in fury, then he will not be opposed by anyone else except Durmat (evil intellect).12.239.
ਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਜੋਗ ਜਯਵਾਨ ਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕਰਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੜਕਹਿ ॥
jaagarradee jog jayavaan kaagarradee kar krodh karrakeh |
ਲਾਗੜਦੀ ਲੁਟ ਅਰੁ ਕੁਟ ਤਾਗੜਦੀ ਤਰਵਾਰ ਸੜਕਹਿ ॥
laagarradee lutt ar kutt taagarradee taravaar sarrakeh |
When this hailing warrior yoga (union) will shout in fury, then the swords will create sensation and there will be loot and destruction
ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਨਾਹ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਪਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਜਵਨ ਦਿਨ ॥
saagarradee sasatr sanaah paagarradee pahir hai javan din |
ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ਟਾਗੜਦੀ ਟਿਕਿ ਹੈ ਨ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ॥
saagarradee satru bhaj hai ttaagarradee ttik hai na ik chhin |
When he will hold the weapons and wear armour, on the same day all the enemies will flee away, without staying for a moment
ਪੰਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਪੀਅਰ ਸਿਤ ਬਰਣ ਮੁਖ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਮਸਤ ਸਿਧਾਰ ਹੈ ॥
panpaagarradee peear sit baran mukh saagarradee samasat sidhaar hai |
ਅੰਆਗੜਦੀ ਅਮਿਟ ਦੁਰ ਧਰਖ ਭਟ ਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਕਿ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਨਿਹਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੦॥
anaagarradee amitt dur dharakh bhatt jaagarradee ki jidin nihaar hai |240|
With yellow faces they will run away on that day, the day on which he, unconquerable warrior will throw his glances on all.13.240.
ਆਗੜਦੀ ਇਕ ਅਰਚਾਰੁ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਜਬ ਕੁਪਹਿ ॥
aagarradee ik arachaar paagarradee poojaa jab kupeh |
ਰਾਗੜਦੀ ਰੋਸ ਕਰਿ ਜੋਸ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਪਾਇਨ ਜਬ ਰੁਪਹਿ ॥
raagarradee ros kar jos paagarradee paaein jab rupeh |
When five evils, getting enraged and angry, will stand firmly in the flesd,
ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਤਜਿ ਅਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਗੜਦੀ ਭਜਹਿ ਸੁ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਰਣਿ ॥
saagarradee satru taj atr bhaagarradee bhajeh su bhram ran |
ਆਗੜਦੀ ਐਸ ਉਝੜਹਿ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਜਣੁ ਪਵਨ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਬਣ ॥
aagarradee ais ujharreh paagarradee jan pavan patr ban |
Then all will run away forsaking their arms and weapons like the leaves flying away before the wind
ਸੰਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸੁਭਟ ਸਬ ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ਤਾਗੜਦੀ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਨਚਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
sansaagarradee subhatt sab bhaj hai taagarradee turang nachaae hai |
ਛੰਛਾਗੜਦੀ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਛਡਿ ਕੈ ਆਗੜਦੀ ਅਧੋਗਤਿ ਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੧॥
chhanchhaagarradee chhatr brit chhadd kai aagarradee adhogat jaae hai |241|
When the warriors will cause their running horses to dance, then all the good modifications, forgetting themselves, will experience their downfall.14.241.

ਚਮਰ ਚਾਰੁ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰਿ ਢੁਰਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਛਬਿ ਪਾਵਤ ॥
chamar chaar chahoon or dturat sundar chhab paavat |
The pretty fly-whisks are swinging and the beauty of this hero is fascinating
ਸੇਤ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਰੁ ਬਾਜ ਸੇਤ ਸਸਤ੍ਰਣ ਛਬਿ ਛਾਵਤ ॥
set basatr ar baaj set sasatran chhab chhaavat |
His white garments, white horses and white weapons look splendid
ਅਤਿ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਬਿਕਾਰ ਅਚਲ ਅਨਖੰਡ ਅਕਟ ਭਟ ॥
at pavitr abikaar achal anakhandd akatt bhatt |
ਅਮਿਤ ਓਜ ਅਨਮਿਟ ਅਨੰਤ ਅਛਲਿ ਰਣਾਕਟ ॥
amit oj anamitt anant achhal ranaakatt |
He is extremely immaculate, vice-less, invariable, indivisible and invincible warrior, whose glory is infinite and who is unconquerable and never deceivable,
ਧਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਮੁਹ ਸਮਰ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪੋਤਮ ਗਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥
dhar asatr sasatr saamuh samar jidin nripotam garaj hai |
ਟਿਕਿ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਭਟ ਨਹਿ ਸਮਰਿ ਅਉਰ ਕਵਣ ਤਬ ਬਰਜਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੨॥
ttik hai ik bhatt neh samar aaur kavan tab baraj hai |242|
O king! on the day, then holding his arms and weapons, he will thunder, then no one will be able to stay before him and even obstruct him.15.242.
ਇਕਿ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਅਰੁ ਲਾਜ ਅਮਿਟ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਰਣਿ ॥
eik bidiaa ar laaj amitt at hee prataap ran |
Vidya (learning) and Lajja (modesty) are also extremely glorious
ਭੀਮ ਰੂਪ ਭੈਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਅਮਿਟ ਅਦਾਹਣ ॥
bheem roop bhairo prachandd amitt adaahan |
They are large-bodies, powerful and indestructible
ਅਤਿ ਅਖੰਡ ਅਡੰਡ ਚੰਡ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਰਣਾਚਲ ॥
at akhandd addandd chandd parataap ranaachal |
Their glory is extremely strong and indivisible
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭ ਕੰਧ ਆਜਾਨ ਬਾਹ ਬਾਨੈਤ ਮਹਾਬਲਿ ॥
brikhabh kandh aajaan baah baanait mahaabal |
They are mighty ones, long-armed and broad-shouldered like a bull
ਇਹ ਛਬਿ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੋਧਾ ਜੁਗਲ ਜਿਦਿਨ ਨਿਸਾਨ ਬਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
eih chhab apaar jodhaa jugal jidin nisaan bajaae hai |
ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ਭੂਪ ਤਜਿ ਲਾਜ ਸਭ ਏਕ ਨ ਸਾਮੁਹਿ ਆਇ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੩॥
bhaj hai bhoop taj laaj sabh ek na saamuhi aae hai |243|
In this way, the day on which these two warriors, they will sound their trumpet, then all the kings, forsaking their modesty will run away and none of them will confront them.16.243.

Jaitsree, Fourth Mehl:
ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਲੁ ਸਲਾਹਾ ॥
ras ras raam rasaal salaahaa |
With love and energetic affection, praise the Lord, the storehouse of Nectar.
ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਭੀਨਾ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ॥
man raam naam bheenaa lai laahaa |
My mind is drenched with the Lord's Name, and so it earns this profit.
ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
khin khin bhagat karah din raatee guramat bhagat oumaahaa raam |1|
Each and every moment, worship Him in devotion, day and night; through the Guru's Teachings, sincere love and devotion well up. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਜਪਾਹਾ ॥
har har gun govind japaahaa |
Chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, Har, Har.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ॥
man tan jeet sabad lai laahaa |
Conquering mind and body, I have earned the profit of the Shabad.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਵਸਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਓਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥
guramat panch doot vas aaveh man tan har omaahaa raam |2|
Through the Guru's Teachings, the five demons are over-powered, and the mind and body are filled with a sincere yearning for the Lord. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਹਾ ॥
naam ratan har naam japaahaa |
The Name is a jewel - chant the Lord's Name.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਸਦਾ ਲੈ ਲਾਹਾ ॥
har gun gaae sadaa lai laahaa |
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and forever earn this profit.
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਧੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
deen deaal kripaa kar maadho har har naam oumaahaa raam |3|
O Lord, merciful to the meek, be kind to me, and bless me with sincere longing for the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
ਜਪਿ ਜਗਦੀਸੁ ਜਪਉ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਾ ॥
jap jagadees jpau man maahaa |
Meditate on the Lord of the world - meditate within your mind.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਗੰਨਾਥੁ ਜਗਿ ਲਾਹਾ ॥
har har jaganaath jag laahaa |
The Lord of the Universe, Har, Har, is the only real profit in this world.
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਵਡੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਿ ਓਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੪॥੩॥੯॥
dhan dhan vadde tthaakur prabh mere jap naanak bhagat omaahaa raam |4|3|9|
Blessed, blessed, is my Great Lord and Master God; O Nanak, meditate on Him, worship Him with sincere love and devotion. ||4||3||9||

Jaitsree, Fourth Mehl:
ਆਪੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜੁਗਾਹਾ ॥
aape jogee jugat jugaahaa |
He Himself is the Yogi, and the way throughout the ages.
ਆਪੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਹਾ ॥
aape nirbhau taarree laahaa |
The Fearless Lord Himself is absorbed in Samaadhi.
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
aape hee aap aap varatai aape naam oumaahaa raam |1|
He Himself, all by Himself, is all-pervading; He Himself blesses us with sincere love for the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਆਪੇ ਦੀਪ ਲੋਅ ਦੀਪਾਹਾ ॥
aape deep loa deepaahaa |
He Himself is the lamp, and the Light pervading all the worlds.
ਆਪੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਮੁੰਦੁ ਮਥਾਹਾ ॥
aape satigur samund mathaahaa |
He Himself is the True Guru; He Himself churns the ocean.
ਆਪੇ ਮਥਿ ਮਥਿ ਤਤੁ ਕਢਾਏ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥
aape math math tat kadtaae jap naam ratan oumaahaa raam |2|
He Himself churns it, churning up the essence; meditating on the jewel of the Naam, sincere love comes to the surface. ||2||
ਸਖੀ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਹਾ ॥
sakhee milahu mil gun gaavaahaa |
O my companions, let us meet and join together, and sing His Glorious Praises.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹਾ ॥
guramukh naam japahu har laahaa |
As Gurmukh, chant the Naam, and earn the profit of the Lord's Name.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੀ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
har har bhagat drirree man bhaaee har har naam oumaahaa raam |3|
Devotional worship of the Lord, Har, Har, has been implanted within me; it is pleasing to my mind. The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, brings a sincere love. ||3||
ਆਪੇ ਵਡ ਦਾਣਾ ਵਡ ਸਾਹਾ ॥
aape vadd daanaa vadd saahaa |
He Himself is supremely wise, the greatest King.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਹਾ ॥
guramukh poonjee naam visaahaa |
As Gurmukh, purchase the merchandise of the Naam.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੦॥
har har daat karahu prabh bhaavai gun naanak naam oumaahaa raam |4|4|10|
O Lord God, Har, Har, bless me with such a gift, that Your Glorious Virtues seem pleasing to me; Nanak is filled with sincere love and yearning for the Lord. ||4||4||10||

Jaitsree, Fourth Mehl:
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਗੁਰਾਹਾ ॥
mil satasangat sang guraahaa |
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and associating with the Guru,
ਪੂੰਜੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੇਸਾਹਾ ॥
poonjee naam guramukh vesaahaa |
the Gurmukh gathers in the merchandise of the Naam.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਮਧੁਸੂਦਨ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਿ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
har har kripaa dhaar madhusoodan mil satasang oumaahaa raam |1|
O Lord, Har, Har, Destroyer of demons, have mercy upon me; bless me with a sincere yearning to join the Sat Sangat. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਸ੍ਰਵਣਿ ਸੁਣਾਹਾ ॥
har gun baanee sravan sunaahaa |
Let me hear with my ears the Banis, the Hymns, in praise of the Lord;
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਹਾ ॥
kar kirapaa satiguroo milaahaa |
be merciful, and let me meet the True Guru.
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹ ਗੁਣ ਬੋਲਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਜਪਿ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥
gun gaavah gun bolah baanee har gun jap oumaahaa raam |2|
I sing His Glorious Praises, I speak the Bani of His Word; chanting His Glorious Praises, a sincere yearning for the Lord wells up. ||2||
ਸਭਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਵਰਤ ਜਗ ਪੁੰਨ ਤੋੁਲਾਹਾ ॥
sabh teerath varat jag pun toulaahaa |
I have tried visiting all the sacred shrines of pilgrimage, fasting, ceremonial feasts and giving to charities.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਪੁਜਹਿ ਪੁਜਾਹਾ ॥
har har naam na pujeh pujaahaa |
They do not measure up to the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਤੋਲੁ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਜਪਿ ਓੁਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
har har atul tol at bhaaree guramat jap oumaahaa raam |3|
The Lord's Name is unweighable, utterly heavy in weight; through the Guru's Teachings, a sincere yearning to chant the Name has welled up in me. ||3||
ਸਭਿ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਹਾ ॥
sabh karam dharam har naam japaahaa |
All good karma and righteous living are found in meditation on the Lord's Name.
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਮੈਲੁ ਪਾਪ ਧੋਵਾਹਾ ॥
kilavikh mail paap dhovaahaa |
It washes away the stains of sins and mistakes.
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੋਹੁ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਦੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਓਮਾਹਾ ਰਾਮ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੧॥
deen deaal hohu jan aoopar dehu naanak naam omaahaa raam |4|5|11|
Be merciful to meek, humble Nanak; bless him with sincere love and yearning for the Lord. ||4||5||11||
