ਗਾਰਿ ਗਾਰਿ ਅਖਰਬ ਗਰਬਿਨ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਰੇਸ ॥
gaar gaar akharab garabin maar maar nares |
ਜੀਤਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਅਜੀਤ ਰਾਜਨ ਛੀਨਿ ਦੇਸ ਬਿਦੇਸ ॥
jeet jeet ajeet raajan chheen des bides |
They killed innumerable proud kings and snatching the kingdoms of invincible kings, they killed them
ਟਾਰਿ ਟਾਰਿ ਕਰੋਰਿ ਪਬਯ ਦੀਨ ਉਤਰ ਦਿਸਾਨ ॥
ttaar ttaar karor pabay deen utar disaan |
ਸਪਤ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਭਏ ਧਰਾ ਪਰ ਲੀਕ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਰਥਾਨ ॥੪੯॥
sapat sindh bhe dharaa par leek chakr rathaan |49|
They went to the North, crossing many mountains and with the lines of the wheels of their chariots seven oceans were formed. 49.
ਗਾਹਿ ਗਾਹਿ ਅਗਾਹ ਦੇਸਨ ਬਾਹਿ ਬਾਹਿ ਹਥਿਯਾਰ ॥
gaeh gaeh agaah desan baeh baeh hathiyaar |
ਤੋਰਿ ਤੋਰਿ ਅਤੋਰ ਭੂਧ੍ਰਿਕ ਦੀਨ ਉਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਟਾਰ ॥
tor tor ator bhoodhrik deen utreh ttaar |
By striking their weapons and roaming on the whole earth and breaking the mountains, they threw their fragments in the North
ਦੇਸ ਔਰ ਬਿਦੇਸ ਜੀਤਿ ਬਿਸੇਖ ਰਾਜ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
des aauar bides jeet bisekh raaj kamaae |
ਅੰਤ ਜੋਤਿ ਸੁ ਜੋਤਿ ਮੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਥ ਰਾਇ ॥੫੦॥
ant jot su jot mo mil jaat bhee prith raae |50|
After conquering various countries far and near and ruling over them, the king prithu ultimately merged in the Supreme Light.50.

ROOAAL STANZA
ਜਾਨਿ ਅੰਤ ਸਮੋ ਭਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੁ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਜ ਵਤਾਰ ॥
jaan ant samo bhayo prith raaj raaj vataar |
ਬੋਲਿ ਸਰਬ ਸਮ੍ਰਿਧਿ ਸੰਪਤਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ॥
bol sarab samridh sanpat mantr mitr kumaar |
Considering his end very near, the king Prithu called for all his assets, friends, ministers and princes
ਸਪਤ ਦ੍ਵੀਪ ਸੁ ਸਪਤ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਨਿ ਬਾਟ ਦੀਨ ਤੁਰੰਤ ॥
sapat dveep su sapat putran baatt deen turant |
ਸਪਤ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੈ ਲਗੈ ਸੁਤ ਸਰਬ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤ ॥੫੧॥
sapat raaj karai lagai sut sarab sobhaavant |51|
He immediately the seven continents among his seven sons and they all being to rule with extreme glory.51.
ਸਪਤ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਫਿਰੈ ਲਗੈ ਸਿਰ ਸਪਤ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ ॥
sapat chhatr firai lagai sir sapat raaj kumaar |
ਸਪਤ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਪਰੇ ਧਰਾ ਪਰਿ ਸਪਤ ਜਾਨ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥
sapat indr pare dharaa par sapat jaan avataar |
The canopies swung over the heads of all the seven princes and they were all considered as the seven incarnation of Indra
ਸਰਬ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਰੀ ਸਬੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਬੇਦ ਰੀਤਿ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥
sarab saasatr dharee sabai mil bed reet bichaar |
ਦਾਨ ਅੰਸ ਨਿਕਾਰ ਲੀਨੀ ਅਰਥ ਸ੍ਵਰਥ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ॥੫੨॥
daan ans nikaar leenee arath svarath sudhaar |52|
They established all the Shastras with commentaries according to Vedic rites and held in honour again the significance of charity.52.
ਖੰਡ ਖੰਡ ਅਖੰਡ ਉਰਬੀ ਬਾਟਿ ਲੀਨਿ ਕੁਮਾਰ ॥

ਸਪਤ ਦੀਪ ਭਏ ਪੁਨਿਰ ਨਵਖੰਡ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥
sapat deep bhe punir navakhandd naam bichaar |
Those princes fragmented the earth and distributed amongst themselves and seven continents “Nav-Khand’ (nine regions)
ਜੇਸਟ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਧਰੀ ਧਰਾ ਤਿਹ ਭਰਥ ਨਾਮ ਬਖਾਨ ॥
jesatt putr dharee dharaa tih bharath naam bakhaan |
ਭਰਥ ਖੰਡ ਬਖਾਨ ਹੀ ਦਸ ਚਾਰ ਚਾਰੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥੫੩॥
bharath khandd bakhaan hee das chaar chaar nidhaan |53|
The eldest son, whose name was Bharat, he named one of the region as “Bharat Khand”, after the name of the adept Bharat, who was expert in eighteen sciences.53.
ਕਉਨ ਕਉਨ ਕਹੈ ਕਥੇ ਕਵਿ ਨਾਮ ਠਾਮ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
kaun kaun kahai kathe kav naam tthaam anant |
Which names should be mentioned here by the poet ?
ਬਾਟਿ ਬਾਟਿ ਸਬੋ ਲਏ ਨਵਖੰਡ ਦ੍ਵੀਪ ਦੁਰੰਤ ॥
baatt baatt sabo le navakhandd dveep durant |
They all distributed the Nav-Khand continents among themselves
ਠਾਮ ਠਾਮ ਭਏ ਨਰਾਧਿਪ ਠਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਅਨੇਕ ॥
tthaam tthaam bhe naraadhip tthaam naam anek |
ਕਉਨ ਕਉਨ ਉਚਾਰੀਐ ਕਰਿ ਸੂਰ ਸਰਬ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥੫੪॥
kaun kaun uchaareeai kar soor sarab bibek |54|
Many of various names ruled over many places and with power of intellect, whose names should be mentioned, with their description? 54.
ਸਪਤ ਦੀਪਨ ਸਪਤ ਭੂਪ ਭੁਗੈ ਲਗੇ ਨਵਖੰਡ ॥
sapat deepan sapat bhoop bhugai lage navakhandd |
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿਨ ਸੋ ਫਿਰੇ ਅਸਿ ਬਾਧਿ ਜੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ॥
bhaat bhaatin so fire as baadh jodh prachandd |
The king ruled over seven continents and nine regions and taking up their swords, in various ways, they moved at all places powerfully
ਦੀਹ ਦੀਹ ਅਜੀਹ ਦੇਸਨਿ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਿ ਭਨਾਇ ॥
deeh deeh ajeeh desan naam aap bhanaae |
ਆਨਿ ਜਾਨੁ ਦੁਤੀ ਭਏ ਛਿਤਿ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥੫੫॥
aan jaan dutee bhe chhit doosare har raae |55|
They forcefully promulgated their names and it seemed that they were the incarnation of the Lord on the earth.55.
ਆਪ ਆਪ ਸਮੈ ਸਬੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਅਤ੍ਰ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਫਿਰਾਇ ॥
aap aap samai sabai sir atr patr firaae |
ਜੀਤਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਅਜੀਤ ਜੋਧਨ ਰੋਹ ਕ੍ਰੋਹ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
jeet jeet ajeet jodhan roh kroeh kamaae |
They continued to conquer furiously the invincible warriors, swinging the canopies over the heads of one another
ਝੂਠ ਸਾਚ ਅਨੰਤ ਬੋਲਿ ਕਲੋਲ ਕੇਲ ਅਨੇਕ ॥
jhootth saach anant bol kalol kel anek |
ਅੰਤਿ ਕਾਲ ਸਬੈ ਭਛੇ ਜਗਿ ਛਾਡੀਆ ਨਹਿ ਏਕ ॥੫੬॥
ant kaal sabai bhachhe jag chhaaddeea neh ek |56|
Garrying on behavior conquer furiously the invincible warriors, Swinging the canopies over the ultimately became the food of KAL ( death).56.
ਆਪ ਅਰਥ ਅਨਰਥ ਅਪਰਥ ਸਮਰਥ ਕਰਤ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
aap arath anarath aparath samarath karat anant |
ਅੰਤਿ ਹੋਤ ਠਟੀ ਕਛੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੋਟਿ ਕ︀ਯੋਨ ਨ ਕਰੰਤ ॥
ant hot tthattee kachhoo prabhoo kott kayon na karant |
The powerful people perform many sinful action and unjust deeds, for their interest, but ultimately they have to appear before the Lord
ਜਾਨ ਬੂਝ ਪਰੰਤ ਕੂਪ ਲਹੰਤ ਮੂੜ ਨ ਭੇਵ ॥
jaan boojh parant koop lahant moorr na bhev |
The being deliberately falls into the well and dose not know the secret of the Lord
ਅੰਤਿ ਕਾਲ ਤਬੈ ਬਚੈ ਜਬ ਜਾਨ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥੫੭॥
ant kaal tabai bachai jab jaan hai guradev |57|
He will only save himself from death, when he will comprehend that Guru-Lord.57.
ਅੰਤਿ ਹੋਤ ਠਟੀ ਭਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੂੜ ਲੋਗ ਨ ਜਾਨਿ ॥
ant hot tthattee bhalee prabh moorr log na jaan |
The fools do not know that ultimately we feet shy before the Lord
ਆਪ ਅਰਥ ਪਛਾਨ ਹੀ ਤਜਿ ਦੀਹ ਦੇਵ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
aap arath pachhaan hee taj deeh dev nidhaan |
These fools forsaking their supreme father, the Lord, only recognize their own interest
ਧਰਮ ਜਾਨਿ ਕਰਤ ਪਾਪਨ ਯੌ ਨ ਜਾਨਤ ਮੂੜ ॥
dharam jaan karat paapan yau na jaanat moorr |
ਸਰਬ ਕਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਕੋ ਕਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਗੂੜ ਅਗੂੜ ॥੫੮॥
sarab kaal deaal ko kahu prayog goorr agoorr |58|
They commit sins in the name of religion and they do not know even this much that this is the profound myself of the compassionate of the Name of the Lord.58
ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਛਾਨ ਹੀ ਕਰਿ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੀ ਸਮ ਪਾਪ ॥
paap pun pachhaan hee kar pun kee sam paap |
ਪਰਮ ਜਾਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਪਨ ਜਪੈ ਲਾਗ ਕੁਜਾਪ ॥
param jaan pavitr jaapan japai laag kujaap |
They are ever absorbed in evil action considering sin as virtue and virtue as sin, the holy as unholy and without knowing the remembrance of the Name of the Lord:
ਸਿਧ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਮਾਨਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਿਧ ਠਉਰ ਪੂਜੰਤ ॥
sidh tthaur na maanahee bin sidh tthaur poojant |
The being does not believe in the good place and worship bad place
ਹਾਥਿ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਲੈ ਮਹਾ ਪਸੁ ਮਧਿ ਕੂਪ ਪਰੰਤ ॥੫੯॥
haath deepak lai mahaa pas madh koop parant |59|
In such a position he falls in the well, even having the lamp in his hand.59.
ਸਿਧ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਮਾਨ ਹੀ ਅਨਸਿਧ ਪੂਜਤ ਠਉਰ ॥
sidh tthaur na maan hee anasidh poojat tthaur |
Having on belief in holy places, he worship the unholy ones
ਕੈ ਕੁ ਦਿਵਸ ਚਲਾਹਿਗੇ ਜੜ ਭੀਤ ਕੀ ਸੀ ਦਉਰ ॥
kai ku divas chalaahige jarr bheet kee see daur |
But for now many days he will be able to run such a cowardly race ?
ਪੰਖ ਹੀਨ ਕਹਾ ਉਡਾਇਬ ਨੈਨ ਹੀਨ ਨਿਹਾਰ ॥
pankh heen kahaa uddaaeib nain heen nihaar |
Hoe can one fly without the wings? And how can one see without the eyes? How can one go to the battlefield without weapons
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਹੀਨ ਜੁਧਾ ਨ ਪੈਠਬ ਅਰਥ ਹੀਨ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥੬੦॥
sasatr heen judhaa na paitthab arath heen bichaar |60|
And without understaning the meaning how can one understand any problem?.60.
ਦਰਬ ਹੀਣ ਬਪਾਰ ਜੈਸਕ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਨੁ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ॥
darab heen bapaar jaisak arath bin is lok |
ਆਂਖ ਹੀਣ ਬਿਲੋਕਬੋ ਜਗਿ ਕਾਮਕੇਲ ਅਕੋਕ ॥
aankh heen bilokabo jag kaamakel akok |
How can one indulge in trade without wealth? How can one visualise the lustful actions without eyes?
ਗਿਆਨ ਹੀਣ ਸੁ ਪਾਠ ਗੀਤਾ ਬੁਧਿ ਹੀਣ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥
giaan heen su paatth geetaa budh heen bichaar |
ਹਿੰਮਤ ਹੀਨ ਜੁਧਾਨ ਜੂਝਬ ਕੇਲ ਹੀਣ ਕੁਮਾਰ ॥੬੧॥
hinmat heen judhaan joojhab kel heen kumaar |61|
How can one recite Gita without knowledge and reflect upon it without intellect? How can one go to the battlefield without counrage.61
ਕਉਨ ਕਉਨ ਗਨਾਈਐ ਜੇ ਭਏ ਭੂਮਿ ਮਹੀਪ ॥
kaun kaun ganaaeeai je bhe bhoom maheep |
ਕਉਨ ਕਉਨ ਸੁ ਕਥੀਐ ਜਗਿ ਕੇ ਸੁ ਦ੍ਵੀਪ ਅਦ੍ਵੀਪ ॥
kaun kaun su katheeai jag ke su dveep adveep |
How many kings were there? To want extent they be enumerated, and how far should the continents and regions of the world be described?
ਜਾਸੁ ਕੀਨ ਗਨੈ ਵਹੈ ਇਮਿ ਔਰ ਕੀ ਨਹਿ ਸਕਤਿ ॥
jaas keen ganai vahai im aauar kee neh sakat |
ਯੌ ਨ ਐਸ ਪਹਚਾਨੀਐ ਬਿਨੁ ਤਾਸੁ ਕੀ ਕੀਏ ਭਗਤਿ ॥੬੨॥
yau na ais pahachaaneeai bin taas kee kee bhagat |62|
I have enumerated, only those which have come within my sight, I am unable to enumerate more and the this is also not possible without His devotion.62.
ਇਤਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਭਰਥ ਰਾਜ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥੩॥੫॥

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਸੂਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧਾਰੈ ॥
janam janam ke dookh nivaarai sookaa man saadhaarai |
He dispels the pains of countless incarnations, and lends support to the dry and shrivelled mind.
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
darasan bhettat hot nihaalaa har kaa naam beechaarai |1|
Beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, one is enraptured, contemplating the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਮੇਰਾ ਬੈਦੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ॥
meraa baid guroo govindaa |
My physician is the Guru, the Lord of the Universe.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਕਾਟੈ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫੰਧਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har har naam aaukhadh mukh devai kaattai jam kee fandhaa |1| rahaau |
He places the medicine of the Naam into my mouth, and cuts away the noose of Death. ||1||Pause||
ਸਮਰਥ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰਨ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
samarath purakh pooran bidhaate aape karanaihaaraa |
He is the all-powerful, Perfect Lord, the Architect of Destiny; He Himself is the Doer of deeds.
ਅਪੁਨਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੪॥
apunaa daas har aap ubaariaa naanak naam adhaaraa |2|6|34|
The Lord Himself saves His slave; Nanak takes the Support of the Naam. ||2||6||34||

ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਪਾਹਿ ਨਿਬੇਰੋ ॥
antar kee gat tum hee jaanee tujh hee paeh nibero |
Only You know the state of my innermost self; You alone can judge me.
ਬਖਸਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਲਾਖ ਖਤੇ ਕਰਿ ਫੇਰੋ ॥੧॥
bakhas laihu saahib prabh apane laakh khate kar fero |1|
Please forgive me, O Lord God Master; I have committed thousands of sins and mistakes. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਨੇਰੋ ॥
prabh jee too mero tthaakur nero |
O my Dear Lord God Master, You are always near me.
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਸਰਣ ਮੋਹਿ ਚੇਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har charan saran mohi chero |1| rahaau |
O Lord, please bless Your disciple with the shelter of Your feet. ||1||Pause||
ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਊਚੋ ਗੁਨੀ ਗਹੇਰੋ ॥
besumaar beant suaamee aoocho gunee gahero |
Infinite and endless is my Lord and Master; He is lofty, virtuous and profoundly deep.
ਕਾਟਿ ਸਿਲਕ ਕੀਨੋ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਦਾਸਰੋ ਤਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਾ ਨਿਹੋਰੋ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੫॥
kaatt silak keeno apuno daasaro tau naanak kahaa nihoro |2|7|35|
Cutting away the noose of death, the Lord has made Nanak His slave, and now, what does he owe to anyone else? ||2||7||35||

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪਾਏ ॥
bhe kripaal guroo govindaa sagal manorath paae |
The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, became merciful to me, and I obtained all of my mind's desires.
ਅਸਥਿਰ ਭਏ ਲਾਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੧॥
asathir bhe laag har charanee govind ke gun gaae |1|
I have become stable and steady, touching the Lord's Feet, and singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ||1||
ਭਲੋ ਸਮੂਰਤੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥
bhalo samoorat pooraa |
It is a good time, a perfectly auspicious time.
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਵਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saant sehaj aanand naam jap vaaje anahad tooraa |1| rahaau |
I am in celestial peace, tranquility and ecstasy, chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord; the unstruck melody of the sound current vibrates and resounds. ||1||Pause||
ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
mile suaamee preetam apune ghar mandar sukhadaaee |
Meeting with my Beloved Lord and Master, my home has become a mansion filled with happiness.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਗਲੀ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਈ ॥੨॥੮॥੩੬॥
har naam nidhaan naanak jan paaeaa sagalee ichh pujaaee |2|8|36|
Servant Nanak has attained the treasure of the Lord's Name; all his desires have been fulfilled. ||2||8||36||

The Perfect Transcendent Lord became merciful to me, and I found the treasure of the Naam within my mind. ||1||
ਮੇਰੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਰਖਵਾਰੋ ਮੀਤ ॥
mero gur rakhavaaro meet |
My Guru is my Saving Grace, my only best friend.
ਦੂਣ ਚਊਣੀ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸੋਭਾ ਨੀਤਾ ਨੀਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
doon chaoonee de vaddiaaee sobhaa neetaa neet |1| rahaau |
Over and over again, He blesses me with double, even four-fold, greatness. ||1||Pause||
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਣਹਾਰੇ ॥
jeea jant prabh sagal udhaare darasan dekhanahaare |
God saves all beings and creatures, giving them the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਅਚਰਜ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੯॥੩੭॥
gur poore kee acharaj vaddiaaee naanak sad balihaare |2|9|37|
Wondrous is the glorious greatness of the Perfect Guru; Nanak is forever a sacrifice to Him. ||2||9||37||

ਸੰਚਨਿ ਕਰਉ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਥਾਤੀ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
sanchan krau naam dhan niramal thaatee agam apaar |
I gather in and collect the immaculate wealth of the Naam; this commodity is inaccessible and incomparable.
ਬਿਲਛਿ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਹੁ ਖਾਇ ਜੀਵਹੁ ਸਿਖ ਪਰਵਾਰ ॥੧॥
bilachh binod aanand sukh maanahu khaae jeevahu sikh paravaar |1|
Revel in it, delight in it, be happy and enjoy peace, and live long, O Sikhs and brethren. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਧਾਰ ॥

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਚ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਚੜਿ ਲੰਘਉ ਬਿਖੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sant prasaad paaeo sach bohith charr langhau bikh sansaar |1| rahaau |
By the Grace of the Saints, I have found the boat of Truth; embarking on it, I sail across the ocean of poison. ||1||Pause||
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਆਪਹਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਸਾਰ ॥
bhe kripaal pooran abinaasee aapeh keenee saar |
The perfect, imperishable Lord has become merciful; He Himself has taken care of me.
ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਗਸਾਨੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁਮਾਰ ॥੨॥੧੦॥੩੮॥
pekh pekh naanak bigasaano naanak naahee sumaar |2|10|38|
Beholding, beholding His Vision, Nanak has blossomed forth in ecstasy. O Nanak, He is beyond estimation. ||2||10||38||

The Perfect Guru has revealed His power, and compassion has welled up in every heart.
ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਵਡਾਈ ਕੀਨੀ ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਸਭ ਭਇਆ ॥੧॥
aape mel vaddaaee keenee kusal khem sabh bheaa |1|
Blending me with Himself, He has blessed me with glorious greatness, and I have found pleasure and happiness. ||1||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥

The Perfect True Guru is always with me.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Meditating on the Supreme Lord God, I am forever in ecstasy. ||Pause||
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਸੋਈ ॥
antar baahar thaan thanantar jat kat pekhau soee |
Inwardly and outwardly, in all places and interspaces, wherever I look, He is there.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੩੯॥
naanak gur paaeo vaddabhaagee tis jevadd avar na koee |2|11|39|
Nanak has found the Guru, by great good fortune; no one else is as great as He. ||2||11||39||
