He conquered the unconquerable, established the unestablished
ਭੰਨੇ ਅਭੰਨ ਭਜੇ ਅਭਜਿ ॥
bhane abhan bhaje abhaj |
ਖਾਨੇ ਖਵਾਸ ਮਾਵਾਸ ਤਜਿ ॥੫੨੮॥
khaane khavaas maavaas taj |528|
He broke the unbreakable and devided the indivisible, He broke the unbreakable and he destroyed those who resisted.528.
ਸੰਕੜੇ ਸੂਰ ਭੰਭਰੇ ਭੀਰ ॥

ਨਿਰਖੰਤ ਜੋਧ ਰੀਝੰਤ ਹੂਰ ॥

The heavenly damsels, seeing both the brave and coward warriors were getting pleased
ਡਾਰੰਤ ਸੀਸ ਕੇਸਰ ਕਟੋਰਿ ॥

ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਮਦ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਕਰਪੂਰ ਘੋਰਿ ॥੫੨੯॥

They were all sprinkling roses, camphor nad saffron on the head of kalki incarnation.529.

ਬਜਿਓ ਸੁਕੋਪ ਉਤਰ ਨਿਸਾਣ ॥

In this way, after conquering the three directions the trumpet sounded in the North
ਚਲੇ ਸੁ ਚੀਨ ਮਾਚੀਨ ਦੇਸਿ ॥

He went towards China and Manchuria, where there were people in the garb of Rawalpanthis.530.
ਬਜੇ ਬਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਗਜੇ ਸੁਬਾਹ ॥

ਸਾਵੰਤ ਦੇਖਿ ਅਛ੍ਰੀ ਉਛਾਹ ॥

The war-musical instruments were played and the warriors thundered
ਰੀਝੰਤ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਸਰਬ ॥

ਗਾਵੰਤ ਗੀਤ ਤਜ ਦੀਨ ਗਰਬ ॥੫੩੧॥

Seeing the Lords, the heavenly damsels were filled with zeal, the gods and others, all were pleased and all of them, abandoning their pride began to sing songs.531.
ਸਜਿਓ ਸੁ ਸੈਣ ਸੁਣਿ ਚੀਨ ਰਾਜ ॥

ਬਜੇ ਬਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਰਬੰ ਸਮਾਜ ॥

Listening to the news about the arrival of the army, the king of China caused the war-horns to be sounded in all his territory
ਚਲੇ ਅਚਲ ਸਾਵੰਤ ਜੁਧ ॥

ਬਰਖੰਤ ਬਾਣ ਭਰ ਲੋਹ ਕ੍ਰੁਧ ॥੫੩੨॥

All the warriors marched for the war and in their fury, they began to discharge arrows.532.
ਖੁਲੇ ਖਤੰਗ ਖੂਨੀ ਖਤ੍ਰਿਹਾਣ ॥
khule khatang khoonee khatrihaan |
ਉਝਰੇ ਜੁਧ ਜੋਧਾ ਮਹਾਣ ॥
aujhare judh jodhaa mahaan |
The bloody daggers came out and the great warriors died in the war
ਧੁਕੰਤ ਢੋਲ ਘੁੰਮੰਤ ਘਾਇ ॥
dhukant dtol ghunmant ghaae |
ਚਿਕੰਤ ਚਾਵਡੀ ਮਾਸੁ ਚਾਇ ॥੫੩੩॥
chikant chaavaddee maas chaae |533|
The wounds were inflicted and the atmosphere became foggy with the dust of the feet of the warriors, the shouts of vultures were heard in all the four directions.533.
ਹਸੰਤ ਹਾਸ ਕਾਲੀ ਕਰਾਲ ॥

ਭਭਕੰਤ ਭੂਤ ਭੈਰੋ ਬਿਸਾਲ ॥

The dreadful Kali laughed and the huge Bhairavas and the ghosts shouted, the arrows were inflicted
ਲਾਗੰਤ ਬਾਣ ਭਾਖੰਤ ਮਾਸ ॥

ਭਾਜੰਤ ਭੀਰ ਹੁਇ ਹੁਇ ਉਦਾਸ ॥੫੩੪॥

The ghosts and fiends ate the flesh the cowards in their anxiety began to run away.534.

The bloody daggers came out of scabbards with double zeal.535.

The warriors, getting enraged, discharged arrows and

Roamed in the battlefield, destroying the limbs of others.536.

Shiva also joined the armies and danced and discharged arrows in a queer way.537.

The streams of blood were full and the heavenly damsels moved in the sky.538.

The goddess kali laughed and produced fire of Yoga

The tyrants were killed with the arrows of the soldiers.539.

The warriors are swinging and falling on the ground and the dust is rising from the earth

The fighters have gathered zealously in the battlefield and the ghosts and fiends are dancing.540.

The king of China met his men, whose objectives were fulfilled

He took many with himself and advanced forward.541.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ ਤਾ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੈ ਗਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਪਾਏ ॥
satigur seve taa sehaj dhun upajai gat mat tad hee paae |
Serving the True Guru, the divine melody wells up within, and one is blessed with wisdom and salvation.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੧॥
har kaa naam sachaa man vasiaa naame naam samaae |1|
The True Name of the Lord comes to abide in the mind, and through the Name, one merges in the Name. ||1||
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਬਉਰਾਨਾ ॥
bin satigur sabh jag bauraanaa |
Without the True Guru, the whole world is insane.
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਝੂਠੈ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਨਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
manamukh andhaa sabad na jaanai jhootthai bharam bhulaanaa | rahaau |
The blind, self-willed manmukhs do not realize the Word of the Shabad; they are deluded by false doubts. ||Pause||
ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਮਾਇਆ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਮਾਏ ॥
trai gun maaeaa bharam bhulaaeaa haumai bandhan kamaae |
The three-faced Maya had led them astray in doubt, and they are snared by the noose of egotism.
ਜੰਮਣੁ ਮਰਣੁ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਊਭਉ ਗਰਭ ਜੋਨਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੨॥
jaman maran sir aoopar aoobhau garabh jon dukh paae |2|
Birth and death hang over their heads, and being reborn from the womb, they suffer in pain. ||2||
ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਤਿ ਖੋਈ ॥
trai gun varateh sagal sansaaraa haumai vich pat khoee |
The three qualities permeate the whole world; acting in ego, it loses its honor.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਚਉਥਾ ਪਦੁ ਚੀਨੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੩॥
guramukh hovai chauthaa pad cheenai raam naam sukh hoee |3|
But one who becomes Gurmukh comes to realize the fourth state of celestial bliss; he finds peace through the Name of the Lord. ||3||
ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਜੋ ਤੂ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੁ ਹੋਈ ॥
trai gun sabh tere too aape karataa jo too kareh su hoee |
The three qualities are all Yours, O Lord; You Yourself created them. Whatever You do, comes to pass.
ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਸਬਦੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਖੋਈ ॥੪॥੧੨॥
naanak raam naam nisataaraa sabade haumai khoee |4|12|
O Nanak, through the Lord's Name, one is emancipated; through the Shabad, he is rid of egotism. ||4||12||

aape aap varatadaa piaaraa aape aap apaahu |
My Beloved Lord Himself pervades and permeates all; He Himself is, all by Himself.
ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਜਗੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹੁ ॥
vanajaaraa jag aap hai piaaraa aape saachaa saahu |
My Beloved Himself is the trader in this world; He Himself is the true banker.
ਆਪੇ ਵਣਜੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੀਆ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਚੁ ਵੇਸਾਹੁ ॥੧॥
aape vanaj vaapaareea piaaraa aape sach vesaahu |1|
My Beloved Himself is the trade and the trader; He Himself is the true credit. ||1||
ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹ ॥
jap man har har naam salaah |
O mind, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, and praise His Name.
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur kirapaa te paaeeai piaaraa amrit agam athaah | rahaau |
By Guru's Grace, the Beloved, Ambrosial, unapproachable and unfathomable Lord is obtained. ||Pause||
ਆਪੇ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਭ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੇ ਆਪਿ ਮੁਹਾਹੁ ॥
aape sun sabh vekhadaa piaaraa mukh bole aap muhaahu |
The Beloved Himself sees and hears everything; He Himself speaks through the mouths of all beings.
ਆਪੇ ਉਝੜਿ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਵਿਖਾਲੇ ਰਾਹੁ ॥
aape ujharr paaeidaa piaaraa aap vikhaale raahu |
The Beloved Himself leads us into the wilderness, and He Himself shows us the Way.
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥੨॥
aape hee sabh aap hai piaaraa aape veparavaahu |2|
The Beloved Himself is Himself all-in-all; He Himself is carefree. ||2||
ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਿਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਧੰਧੜੈ ਲਾਹੁ ॥
aape aap upaaeidaa piaaraa sir aape dhandharrai laahu |
The Beloved Himself, all by Himself, created everything; He Himself links all to their tasks.
ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ਸਾਖਤੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹੁ ॥
aap karaae saakhatee piaaraa aap maare mar jaahu |
The Beloved Himself creates the Creation, and He Himself destroys it.
ਆਪੇ ਪਤਣੁ ਪਾਤਣੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਪਾਰਿ ਲੰਘਾਹੁ ॥੩॥
aape patan paatanee piaaraa aape paar langhaahu |3|
He Himself is the wharf, and He Himself is the ferryman, who ferries us across. ||3||
ਆਪੇ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਖੇਵਟੁ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਹੁ ॥
aape saagar bohithaa piaaraa gur khevatt aap chalaahu |
The Beloved Himself is the ocean, and the boat; He Himself is the Guru, the boatman who steers it
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਚੜਿ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਚੋਜ ਵੇਖੈ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ॥
aape hee charr langhadaa piaaraa kar choj vekhai paatisaahu |
. The Beloved Himself sets sail and crosses over; He, the King, beholds His wondrous play.
ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਹੁ ॥੪॥੧॥
aape aap deaal hai piaaraa jan naanak bakhas milaahu |4|1|
The Beloved Himself is the Merciful Master; O servant Nanak, He forgives and blends with Himself. ||4||1||
ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਚਉਥਾ ॥

ਆਪੇ ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਉਤਭੁਜ ਆਪੇ ਖੰਡ ਆਪੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਇ ॥
aape anddaj jeraj setaj utabhuj aape khandd aape sabh loe |
He Himself is born of the egg, from the womb, from sweat and from the earth; He Himself is the continents and all the worlds.
ਆਪੇ ਸੂਤੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਮਣੀਆ ਕਰਿ ਸਕਤੀ ਜਗਤੁ ਪਰੋਇ ॥
aape soot aape bahu maneea kar sakatee jagat paroe |
He Himself is the thread, and He Himself is the many beads; through His Almighty Power, He has strung the worlds.
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸੂਤਧਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੂਤੁ ਖਿੰਚੇ ਢਹਿ ਢੇਰੀ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
aape hee sootadhaar hai piaaraa soot khinche dteh dteree hoe |1|
He holds the thread, and when He withdraws the thread, the beads scatter into heaps. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
mere man mai har bin avar na koe |
O my mind, there is no other than the Lord for me.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਚੋਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
satigur vich naam nidhaan hai piaaraa kar deaa amrit mukh choe | rahaau |
The treasure of the Beloved Naam is within the True Guru; in His Mercy, he pours the Ambrosial Nectar into my mouth. ||Pause||
ਆਪੇ ਜਲ ਥਲਿ ਸਭਤੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
aape jal thal sabhat hai piaaraa prabh aape kare su hoe |
The Beloved Himself is in all the oceans and lands; whatever God does, comes to pass.
ਸਭਨਾ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਮਾਹਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabhanaa rijak samaahadaa piaaraa doojaa avar na koe |
The Beloved brings nourishment to all; there is no other than Him.
ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲ ਖੇਲਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
aape khel khelaaeidaa piaaraa aape kare su hoe |2|
The Beloved Himself plays, and whatever He Himself does, comes to pass. ||2||
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥
aape hee aap niramalaa piaaraa aape niramal soe |
The Beloved Himself, all by Himself, is immaculate and pure; He Himself is immaculate and pure.
ਆਪੇ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
aape keemat paaeidaa piaaraa aape kare su hoe |
The Beloved Himself determines the value of all; whatever He does comes to pass.
ਆਪੇ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖੀਐ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਲਖਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥
aape alakh na lakheeai piaaraa aap lakhaavai soe |3|
The Beloved Himself is unseen - He cannot be seen; He Himself causes us to see. ||3||
ਆਪੇ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
aape gahir ganbheer hai piaaraa tis jevadd avar na koe |
The Beloved Himself is deep and profound and unfathomable; there is no other as great as He.
ਸਭਿ ਘਟ ਆਪੇ ਭੋਗਵੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
sabh ghatt aape bhogavai piaaraa vich naaree purakh sabh soe |
The Beloved Himself enjoys every heart; He is contained within every woman and man.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੨॥
naanak gupat varatadaa piaaraa guramukh paragatt hoe |4|2|
O Nanak, the Beloved is pervading everywhere, but He is hidden; through the Guru, He is revealed. ||4||2||
