ਜਿਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਹੂਏ ॥

All the Ramas who incarnated,
ਸਭੈ ਅੰਤ ਮੂਏ ॥

Ultimately passed away.
ਜਿਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਹ੍ਵੈਹੈਂ ॥
jite krisan hvaihain |
All the Krishnas, who had incarnated,
ਸਭੈ ਅੰਤ ਜੈਹੈਂ ॥੭੦॥
sabhai ant jaihain |70|
Have all passed away.70.
ਜਿਤੇ ਦੇਵ ਹੋਸੀ ॥
jite dev hosee |
All the gods who will come into being in future,
ਸਭੇ ਅੰਤ ਜਾਸੀ ॥
sabhe ant jaasee |
They will all ultimately expire.
ਜਿਤੇ ਬੋਧ ਹ੍ਵੈਹੈਂ ॥
jite bodh hvaihain |
All the Buddhas, who came into being,
ਸਭੈ ਅੰਤ ਛੈਹੈਂ ॥੭੧॥

Expired ultimately.71.
ਜਿਤੇ ਦੇਵ ਰਾਯੰ ॥

All the god-kings, who came into being,
ਸਭੈ ਅੰਤ ਜਾਯੰ ॥

Ultimately passed away.
ਜਿਤੇ ਦਈਤ ਏਸੰ ॥

All the demon-kings, who came into being,
ਤਿਤਿਓ ਕਾਲ ਲੇਸੰ ॥੭੨॥

Vaman, the Brahmin incarnation,

Was killed by KAL.
ਮਹਾ ਮੱਛ ਮੁੰਡੰ ॥

The Fish incarnation of spatious mouth,
ਫਧਿਓ ਕਾਲ ਝੁੰਡੰ ॥੭੪॥

Was entrapped by KAL.74.
ਜਿਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਬੀਤੇ ॥
jite hoe beete |
All those who had come into being,
ਤਿਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਜੀਤੇ ॥
tite kaal jeete |
They were all conquered by KAL.
ਜਿਤੇ ਸਰਨਿ ਜੈਹੈਂ ॥
jite saran jaihain |
Those who will go under His Refuge,
ਤਿਤਿਓ ਰਾਖ ਲੈਹੈਂ ॥੭੫॥

They will all be saved by him.75.

BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਬਿਨਾ ਸਰਨ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨ ਅਉਰੈ ਉਪਾਯੰ ॥
binaa saran taa kee na aaurai upaayan |
Without coming under His Refuge, there is no other measure for protection,
ਕਹਾ ਦੇਵ ਦਈਤੰ ਕਹਾ ਰੰਕ ਰਾਯੰ ॥
kahaa dev deetan kahaa rank raayan |
May be a god, demon, pauper or a king.
ਕਹਾ ਪਾਤਸਾਹੰ ਕਹਾ ਉਮਰਾਯੰ ॥
kahaa paatasaahan kahaa umaraayan |
May be the Sovereign and may be the courtiers,
ਬਿਨਾ ਸਰਨ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨ ਕੋਟੈ ਉਪਾਯੰ ॥੭੬॥
binaa saran taa kee na kottai upaayan |76|
Without coming under His shelter, millions of measures for protection will be useless. 76.
ਜਿਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤੰ ਸੁ ਦੁਨੀਅੰ ਉਪਾਯੰ ॥
jite jeev jantan su duneean upaayan |
All the creatures created by Him in the world
ਸਭੈ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲੰ ਬਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਘਾਯੰ ॥
sabhai ant kaalan balee kaal ghaayan |
Will ultimately be killed by the mighty KAL.
ਬਿਨਾ ਸਰਨ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨਹੀ ਔਰ ਓਟੰ ॥
binaa saran taa kee nahee aauar ottan |
There is no other protection without coming under His shelter,
ਲਿਖੇ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਕੋਟੰ ॥੭੭॥
likhe jantr kete parrhe mantr kottan |77|
Even though many Yantras be written and millions of Mantras be recited.77.

NARAAJ STANZA
ਜਿਤੇਕ ਰਾਜ ਰੰਕਯੰ ॥
jitek raaj rankayan |
All the kings and pupers who have come into being,
ਹਨੇ ਸੁ ਕਾਲ ਬੰਕਯੰ ॥
hane su kaal bankayan |
Are sure to be killed by KAL.
ਜਿਤੇਕ ਲੋਕ ਪਾਲਯੰ ॥
jitek lok paalayan |
All the Lokpals, who have come into being,
ਨਿਦਾਨ ਕਾਲ ਦਾਲਯੰ ॥੭੮॥
nidaan kaal daalayan |78|
Will ultimately be mashed by KAL.78.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣ ਪਾਣ ਜੇ ਜਪੈ ॥
kripaan paan je japai |
Those who meditate on the Supreme KAL,
ਅਨੰਤ ਥਾਟ ਤੇ ਥਪੈ ॥
anant thaatt te thapai |
The wielder of the sword, they firmly adopt innumerable measures for protection.
ਜਿਤੇਕ ਕਾਲ ਧ︀ਯਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
jitek kaal dhayaae hai |
Those who remember KAL,
ਜਗਤ ਜੀਤ ਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥੭੯॥
jagat jeet jaae hai |79|
They conquer the world and depart.79.
ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਾਰੁ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਯੰ ॥
bachitr chaar chitrayan |
That Supreme KAL is Supremely Pure,
ਪਰਮਯੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਯੰ ॥
paramayan pavitrayan |
Whose image is supernatural and winsome.
ਅਲੋਕ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਜਿਯੰ ॥
alok roop raajiyan |
He is bedecked with supernatural beauty,
ਸੁਣੇ ਸੁ ਪਾਪ ਭਾਜਿਯੰ ॥੮੦॥
sune su paap bhaajiyan |80|
All the sins flee on hearing His Name.80.
ਬਿਸਾਲ ਲਾਲ ਲੋਚਨੰ ॥
bisaal laal lochanan |
He, who hath wide and red eyes,
ਬਿਅੰਤ ਪਾਪ ਮੋਚਨੰ ॥
biant paap mochanan |
And who is the destroyer of innumerable sins.
ਚਮੱਕ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਚਾਰੀਅੰ ॥
chamak chandr chaareean |
The glitter of his face is more beautiful than that of the moon
ਅਘੀ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਾਰੀਅੰ ॥੮੧॥

And who hath caused many sinners to ferry across.81.

All the suns and moons and
ਕਹਾ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਬਿੰਦ੍ਰੰ ॥੮੨॥

Even Indra and Vaman (are subservient to KAL.82.

BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਫਿਰੇ ਚੌਦਹੂੰ ਲੋਕਯੰ ਕਾਲ ਚਕ੍ਰੰ ॥
fire chauadahoon lokayan kaal chakran |
All the fourteen worlds are under the Command of KAL.
ਸਭੈ ਨਾਥ ਨਾਥੇ ਭ੍ਰਮੰ ਭਉਂਹ ਬਕ੍ਰੰ ॥
sabhai naath naathe bhraman bhaunh bakran |
He hath stringed all the Naths by turning about the slanting evebrows.
ਕਹਾ ਰਾਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨੰ ਕਹਾ ਚੰਦ ਸੂਰੰ ॥
kahaa raam krisanan kahaa chand sooran |
May be Rama and Krishna, may be the moon and sun,
ਸਭੈ ਹਾਥ ਬਾਧੇ ਖਰੇ ਕਾਲ ਹਜੂਰੰ ॥੮੩॥
sabhai haath baadhe khare kaal hajooran |83|
All are standing with folded hands in the presence of KAL.83.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥
savaiyaa |
SWAYYA.
ਕਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਾਇ ਭਯੋ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸੁ ਜਾਗਤ ਯਾ ਜਗ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਕਲਾ ਹੈ ॥
kaal hee paae bhayo bhagavaan su jaagat yaa jag jaa kee kalaa hai |
At the instance of KAL, Vishnu appeared, whose power is manifested through the world.
ਕਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਾਇ ਭਯੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਸਿਵ ਕਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਾਇ ਭਯੋ ਜੁਗੀਆ ਹੈ ॥
kaal hee paae bhayo brahamaa siv kaal hee paae bhayo jugeea hai |
At the instance of KAL, Brahma appeared and also at the instance of KAL the Yogi Shiva appeared.
ਕਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਾਇ ਸੁਰਾਸੁਰ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਜੱਛ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਦਿਸਾ ਬਿਦਿਸਾ ਹੈ ॥
kaal hee paae suraasur gandhrab jachh bhujang disaa bidisaa hai |
At the instance of KAL, the gods, demons, Gandharvas, Yakshas, Bhujang, directions and indications have appeared.
ਔਰ ਸੁਕਾਲ ਸਭੈ ਬਸ ਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਕਾਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮੪॥
aauar sukaal sabhai bas kaal ke ek hee kaal akaal sadaa hai |84|
All the other prevalent object are within KAL, only One supreme KAL is ever Timeless and eternal.84.

BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਨਮੋ ਦੇਵ ਦੇਵੰ ਨਮੋ ਖੜਗਧਾਰੰ ॥
namo dev devan namo kharragadhaaran |
Salutation to the God of gods and salutation to the wielder of sword,
ਸਦਾ ਏਕ ਰੂਪੰ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਬਿਕਾਰੰ ॥
sadaa ek roopan sadaa nirabikaaran |
Who is ever monomorphic and ever without vices.
ਨਮੋ ਰਾਜਸੰ ਸਾਤਕੰ ਤਾਮਸੇਅੰ ॥
namo raajasan saatakan taamasean |
Salutation to Him, who manifests the qualities of activity (rajas), rhythm (sattava) and morbidity (tamas).
ਨਮੋ ਨਿਰਬਿਕਾਰੰ ਨਮੋ ਨਿਰਜੁਰੇਅੰ ॥੮੫॥
namo nirabikaaran namo nirajurean |85|
Salutation to Him who is without vices and who is without ailments. 85.

Salutation to Him, who wields the bow in his hands

Salutation to Him, who is Fearless.
ਨਮੋ ਦੇਵ ਦੇਵੰ ॥
namo dev devan |
Salutation to Him, who is God of gods. Salutation to Him,
ਭਵਾਣੰ ਭਵੇਅੰ ॥੮੬॥

Who shall ever be within the world.86.

Siree Raag, Fifth Mehl:
ਇਕੁ ਪਛਾਣੂ ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਇਕੋ ਰਖਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
eik pachhaanoo jeea kaa iko rakhanahaar |
The One is the Knower of all beings; He alone is our Savior.
ਇਕਸ ਕਾ ਮਨਿ ਆਸਰਾ ਇਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
eikas kaa man aasaraa iko praan adhaar |
The One is the Support of the mind; the One is the Support of the breath of life.
ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
tis saranaaee sadaa sukh paarabraham karataar |1|
In His Sanctuary there is eternal peace. He is the Supreme Lord God, the Creator. ||1||
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਉਪਾਵ ਤਿਆਗੁ ॥
man mere sagal upaav tiaag |
O my mind, give up all these efforts.
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਨਿਤ ਇਕਸੁ ਕੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur pooraa aaraadh nit ikas kee liv laag |1| rahaau |
Dwell upon the Perfect Guru each day, and attach yourself to the One Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਇਕੋ ਭਾਈ ਮਿਤੁ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ॥
eiko bhaaee mit ik iko maat pitaa |
The One is my Brother, the One is my Friend. The One is my Mother and Father.
ਇਕਸ ਕੀ ਮਨਿ ਟੇਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਦਿਤਾ ॥
eikas kee man ttek hai jin jeeo pindd ditaa |
The One is the Support of the mind; He has given us body and soul.
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਹੁ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਵਸਿ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੨॥
so prabh manahu na visarai jin sabh kichh vas keetaa |2|
May I never forget God from my mind; He holds all in the Power of His Hands. ||2||
ਘਰਿ ਇਕੋ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਇਕੋ ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
ghar iko baahar iko thaan thanantar aap |
The One is within the home of the self, and the One is outside as well. He Himself is in all places and interspaces.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
jeea jant sabh jin kee aatth pehar tis jaap |
Meditate twenty-four hours a day on the One who created all beings and creatures.
ਇਕਸੁ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਨ ਹੋਵੀ ਸੋਗ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥੩॥
eikas setee ratiaa na hovee sog santaap |3|
Attuned to the Love of the One, there is no sorrow or suffering. ||3||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥
paarabraham prabh ek hai doojaa naahee koe |
There is only the One Supreme Lord God; there is no other at all.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
jeeo pindd sabh tis kaa jo tis bhaavai su hoe |
Soul and body all belong to Him; whatever pleases His Will comes to pass.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਭਇਆ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੯॥੭੯॥
gur poorai pooraa bheaa jap naanak sachaa soe |4|9|79|
Through the Perfect Guru, one becomes perfect; O Nanak, meditate on the True One. ||4||9||79||

ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ॥
jinaa satigur siau chit laaeaa se poore paradhaan |
Those who focus their consciousness on the True Guru are perfectly fulfilled and famous.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਤਿਨ ਉਪਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
jin kau aap deaal hoe tin upajai man giaan |
Spiritual wisdom wells up in the minds of those unto whom the Lord Himself shows Mercy.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥
jin kau masatak likhiaa tin paaeaa har naam |1|
Those who have such destiny written upon their foreheads obtain the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
man mere eko naam dhiaae |
O my mind, meditate on the Name of the One Lord.
ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਸੁਖ ਊਪਜਹਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਧਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sarab sukhaa sukh aoopajeh daragah paidhaa jaae |1| rahaau |
The happiness of all happiness shall well up, and in the Court of the Lord, you shall be dressed in robes of honor. ||1||Pause||
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਗਇਆ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥
janam maran kaa bhau geaa bhaau bhagat gopaal |
The fear of death and rebirth is removed by performing loving devotional service to the Lord of the World.
ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥
saadhoo sangat niramalaa aap kare pratipaal |
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, one becomes immaculate and pure; the Lord Himself takes care of such a one.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਮਲੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੨॥
janam maran kee mal katteeai gur darasan dekh nihaal |2|
The filth of birth and death is washed away, and one is uplifted, beholding the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan. ||2||
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
thaan thanantar rav rahiaa paarabraham prabh soe |
The Supreme Lord God is pervading all places and interspaces.
ਸਭਨਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabhanaa daataa ek hai doojaa naahee koe |
The One is the Giver of all-there is no other at all.
ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਛੁਟੀਐ ਕੀਤਾ ਲੋੜੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
tis saranaaee chhutteeai keetaa lorre su hoe |3|
In His Sanctuary, one is saved. Whatever He wishes, comes to pass. ||3||
ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ॥
jin man vasiaa paarabraham se poore paradhaan |
Perfectly fulfilled and famous are those, in whose minds the Supreme Lord God abides.
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਨਿਰਮਲੀ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਭਈ ਜਹਾਨ ॥
tin kee sobhaa niramalee paragatt bhee jahaan |
Their reputation is spotless and pure; they are famous all over the world.
ਜਿਨੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੮੦॥
jinee meraa prabh dhiaaeaa naanak tin kurabaan |4|10|80|
O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to those who meditate on my God. ||4||10||80||
