ਮਰਨ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਕਾ ਨਾਸੀ ॥

My anxious fears of death and rebirth have been taken away.
ਆਪਨ ਰੰਗਿ ਸਹਜ ਪਰਗਾਸੀ ॥੧॥
aapan rang sehaj paragaasee |1|
The Celestial Lord has shown His Love for me. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ ॥
pragattee jot mittiaa andhiaaraa |
The Divine Light has dawned, and darkness has been dispelled.
ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਤ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Contemplating the Lord, I have obtained the Jewel of His Name. ||1||Pause||
ਜਹ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਪਇਆਨਾ ॥
jeh anand dukh door peaanaa |
Pain runs far away from that place where there is bliss.
ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਕੁ ਲਿਵ ਤਤੁ ਲੁਕਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
man maanak liv tat lukaanaa |2|
The jewel of the mind is focused and attuned to the essence of reality. ||2||
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਆ ਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ॥
jo kichh hoaa su teraa bhaanaa |
Whatever happens is by the Pleasure of Your Will.
ਜੋ ਇਵ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥੩॥
jo iv boojhai su sehaj samaanaa |3|
Whoever understands this, is intuitively merged in the Lord. ||3||
ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਗਏ ਖੀਣਾ ॥
kehat kabeer kilabikh ge kheenaa |
Says Kabeer, my sins have been obliterated.
ਮਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਲੀਣਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
man bheaa jagajeevan leenaa |4|1|
My mind has merged into the Lord, the Life of the World. ||4||1||

ਅਲਹੁ ਏਕੁ ਮਸੀਤਿ ਬਸਤੁ ਹੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਮੁਲਖੁ ਕਿਸੁ ਕੇਰਾ ॥
alahu ek maseet basat hai avar mulakh kis keraa |
If the Lord Allah lives only in the mosque, then to whom does the rest of the world belong?
ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਦੁਹ ਮਹਿ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਹੇਰਾ ॥੧॥
hindoo moorat naam nivaasee duh meh tat na heraa |1|
According to the Hindus, the Lord's Name abides in the idol, but there is no truth in either of these claims. ||1||
ਅਲਹ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਵਉ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਈ ॥
alah raam jeevau tere naaee |
O Allah, O Raam, I live by Your Name.
ਤੂ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਹਰਾਮਤਿ ਸਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਦਖਨ ਦੇਸਿ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਬਾਸਾ ਪਛਿਮਿ ਅਲਹ ਮੁਕਾਮਾ ॥
dakhan des haree kaa baasaa pachhim alah mukaamaa |
The God of the Hindus lives in the southern lands, and the God of the Muslims lives in the west.
ਦਿਲ ਮਹਿ ਖੋਜਿ ਦਿਲੈ ਦਿਲਿ ਖੋਜਹੁ ਏਹੀ ਠਉਰ ਮੁਕਾਮਾ ॥੨॥
dil meh khoj dilai dil khojahu ehee tthaur mukaamaa |2|
So search in your heart - look deep into your heart of hearts; this is the home and the place where God lives. ||2||
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਨ ਗਿਆਸ ਕਰਹਿ ਚਉਬੀਸਾ ਕਾਜੀ ਮਹ ਰਮਜਾਨਾ ॥
brahaman giaas kareh chaubeesaa kaajee meh ramajaanaa |
The Brahmins observe twenty-four fasts during the year, and the Muslims fast during the month of Ramadaan.
ਗਿਆਰਹ ਮਾਸ ਪਾਸ ਕੈ ਰਾਖੇ ਏਕੈ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
giaarah maas paas kai raakhe ekai maeh nidhaanaa |3|
The Muslims set aside eleven months, and claim that the treasure is only in the one month. ||3||
ਕਹਾ ਉਡੀਸੇ ਮਜਨੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਿਆ ਮਸੀਤਿ ਸਿਰੁ ਨਾਂਏਂ ॥
kahaa uddeese majan keea kiaa maseet sir naanen |
What is the use of bathing at Orissa? Why do the Muslims bow their heads in the mosque?
ਦਿਲ ਮਹਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਗੁਜਾਰੈ ਕਿਆ ਹਜ ਕਾਬੈ ਜਾਂਏਂ ॥੪॥
dil meh kapatt nivaaj gujaarai kiaa haj kaabai jaanen |4|
If someone has deception in his heart, what good is it for him to utter prayers? And what good is it for him to go on pilgrimage to Mecca? ||4||
ਏਤੇ ਅਉਰਤ ਮਰਦਾ ਸਾਜੇ ਏ ਸਭ ਰੂਪ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੇ ॥
ete aaurat maradaa saaje e sabh roop tumaare |
You fashioned all these men and women, Lord. All these are Your Forms.
ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂੰਗਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਅਲਹ ਕਾ ਸਭ ਗੁਰ ਪੀਰ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੫॥
kabeer poongaraa raam alah kaa sabh gur peer hamaare |5|
Kabeer is the child of God, Allah, Raam. All the Gurus and prophets are mine. ||5||
ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਨਰ ਨਰਵੈ ਪਰਹੁ ਏਕ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾ ॥
kehat kabeer sunahu nar naravai parahu ek kee saranaa |
Says Kabeer, listen, O men and women: seek the Sanctuary of the One.
ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਨਿਹਚੈ ਤਰਨਾ ॥੬॥੨॥
keval naam japahu re praanee tab hee nihachai taranaa |6|2|
Chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, O mortals, and you shall surely be carried across. ||6||2||

ਅਵਲਿ ਅਲਹ ਨੂਰੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਬੰਦੇ ॥
aval alah noor upaaeaa kudarat ke sabh bande |
First, Allah created the Light; then, by His Creative Power, He made all mortal beings.
ਏਕ ਨੂਰ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਕਉਨ ਭਲੇ ਕੋ ਮੰਦੇ ॥੧॥
ek noor te sabh jag upajiaa kaun bhale ko mande |1|
From the One Light, the entire universe welled up. So who is good, and who is bad? ||1||
ਲੋਗਾ ਭਰਮਿ ਨ ਭੂਲਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
logaa bharam na bhoolahu bhaaee |
O people, O Siblings of Destiny, do not wander deluded by doubt.
ਖਾਲਿਕੁ ਖਲਕ ਖਲਕ ਮਹਿ ਖਾਲਿਕੁ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਂਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
khaalik khalak khalak meh khaalik poor rahio srab tthaanee |1| rahaau |
The Creation is in the Creator, and the Creator is in the Creation, totally pervading and permeating all places. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਟੀ ਏਕ ਅਨੇਕ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਾਜੀ ਸਾਜਨਹਾਰੈ ॥
maattee ek anek bhaant kar saajee saajanahaarai |
The clay is the same, but the Fashioner has fashioned it in various ways.
ਨਾ ਕਛੁ ਪੋਚ ਮਾਟੀ ਕੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਨਾ ਕਛੁ ਪੋਚ ਕੁੰਭਾਰੈ ॥੨॥
naa kachh poch maattee ke bhaandde naa kachh poch kunbhaarai |2|
There is nothing wrong with the pot of clay - there is nothing wrong with the Potter. ||2||
ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਸਚਾ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਈ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਛੁ ਹੋਈ ॥
sabh meh sachaa eko soee tis kaa keea sabh kachh hoee |
The One True Lord abides in all; by His making, everything is made.
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੈ ਸੁ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥
hukam pachhaanai su eko jaanai bandaa kaheeai soee |3|
Whoever realizes the Hukam of His Command, knows the One Lord. He alone is said to be the Lord's slave. ||3||
ਅਲਹੁ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਲਖਿਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਗੁੜੁ ਦੀਨਾ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
alahu alakh na jaaee lakhiaa gur gurr deenaa meetthaa |
The Lord Allah is Unseen; He cannot be seen. The Guru has blessed me with this sweet molasses.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੰਕਾ ਨਾਸੀ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੪॥੩॥
keh kabeer meree sankaa naasee sarab niranjan ddeetthaa |4|3|
Says Kabeer, my anxiety and fear have been taken away; I see the Immaculate Lord pervading everywhere. ||4||3||

ਗਜਨੀ ਰਾਇ ਤਵਨ ਜਹ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥
gajanee raae tavan jeh lahiyo |
ਮਨ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਬਚਨ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਅਸ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥
man kram bachan kuar as kahiyo |
ਐਸੋ ਛੈਲ ਏਕ ਦਿਨ ਪੈਯੈ ॥
aiso chhail ek din paiyai |
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਪਲ ਪਲ ਬਲਿ ਜੈਯੈ ॥੨॥
janam janam pal pal bal jaiyai |2|
ਸਖੀ ਏਕ ਤਿਹ ਤੀਰ ਪਠਾਇ ॥
sakhee ek tih teer patthaae |
ਜਿਹ ਤਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਰਿ ਲਿਯਾ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
jih tih bidh kar liyaa bulaae |
ਅਪਨ ਸੇਜ ਪਰ ਤਿਹ ਬੈਠਾਰਾ ॥
apan sej par tih baitthaaraa |
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਕਾ ਰਚਾ ਅਖਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
kaam bhog kaa rachaa akhaaraa |3|
ਬੈਠ ਸੇਜ ਪਰ ਦੋਇ ਕਲੋਲਹਿ ॥
baitth sej par doe kaloleh |
ਮਧੁਰ ਮਧੁਰ ਧੁਨਿ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਹਿ ॥
madhur madhur dhun mukh te boleh |
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਨ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਲਾਸਾ ॥
bhaat bhaat tan karat bilaasaa |
ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਕੋ ਤਜਿ ਕਰ ਤ੍ਰਾਸਾ ॥੪॥

ਰਸਿ ਰਸਿ ਕਸਿ ਕਸਿ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਈ ॥੫॥

ਰਾਨੀ ਸਹਿਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਬਰ ॥
raanee sahit pitaa taa kau bar |
ਆਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਦੁਹਿਤਾਹੂੰ ਕੇ ਘਰ ॥
aavat bhayo duhitaahoon ke ghar |
ਅਵਰ ਘਾਤ ਤਿਹ ਹਾਥ ਨ ਆਈ ॥

ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਹਨਿ ਦਏ ਦਬਾਈ ॥੬॥

kahaa chanchalaa kaaj kamaayo |
ਅਪਨ ਰਾਜ ਦੇਸ ਕਾ ਕਰਾ ॥
