After firstly saying the word “Jal-ras-sanani” and then uttering the words “Jaachar-shatru”, many names of Tupak continue to be evolved.815.

Utter firstly the word “Karaar-kundani”, then add the words “Jaachar-nayak” and later saying the word “Shatru”, know the names of Tupak in your mind.817.

je bhulee je chukee saaee bhee tahinjee kaadteea |
Even though I have made mistakes, and even though I have been wrong, I am still called Yours, O my Lord and Master.
ਜਿਨੑਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਦੂਜਾਣੇ ਲਗਾ ਝੂਰਿ ਮਰਹੁ ਸੇ ਵਾਢੀਆ ॥੧॥
jinaa nehu doojaane lagaa jhoor marahu se vaadteea |1|
Those who enshrine love for another, die regretting and repenting. ||1||
ਹਉ ਨਾ ਛੋਡਉ ਕੰਤ ਪਾਸਰਾ ॥
hau naa chhoddau kant paasaraa |
I shall never leave my Husband Lord's side.
ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗੀਲਾ ਲਾਲੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਏਹੁ ਮਹਿੰਜਾ ਆਸਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sadaa rangeelaa laal piaaraa ehu mahinjaa aasaraa |1| rahaau |
My Beloved Lover is always and forever beautiful. He is my hope and inspiration. ||1||Pause||
ਸਜਣੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਸੈਣੁ ਤੂ ਮੈ ਤੁਝ ਉਪਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਮਾਣੀਆ ॥
sajan toohai sain too mai tujh upar bahu maaneea |
You are my Best Friend; You are my relative. I am so proud of You.
ਜਾ ਤੂ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਤਾ ਸੁਖੇ ਤੂੰ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਮਾਣੀਆ ॥੨॥
jaa too andar taa sukhe toon nimaanee maaneea |2|
And when You dwell within me, I am at peace. I am without honor - You are my honor. ||2||
ਜੇ ਤੂ ਤੁਠਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਵੇਖਾਲਿ ॥
je too tutthaa kripaa nidhaan naa doojaa vekhaal |
And when You are pleased with me, O treasure of mercy, then I do not see any other.
ਏਹਾ ਪਾਈ ਮੂ ਦਾਤੜੀ ਨਿਤ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਖਾ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੩॥
ehaa paaee moo daatarree nit hiradai rakhaa samaal |3|
Please grant me this blessing, that that I may forever dwell upon You and cherish You within my heart. ||3||
ਪਾਵ ਜੁਲਾਈ ਪੰਧ ਤਉ ਨੈਣੀ ਦਰਸੁ ਦਿਖਾਲਿ ॥
paav julaaee pandh tau nainee daras dikhaal |
Let my feet walk on Your Path, and let my eyes behold the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.
ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ ਜੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਥੀਵੈ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਿ ॥੪॥
sravanee sunee kahaaneea je gur theevai kirapaal |4|
With my ears, I will listen to Your Sermon, if the Guru becomes merciful to me. ||4||
ਕਿਤੀ ਲਖ ਕਰੋੜਿ ਪਿਰੀਏ ਰੋਮ ਨ ਪੁਜਨਿ ਤੇਰਿਆ ॥
kitee lakh karorr piree rom na pujan teriaa |
Hundreds of thousands and millions do not equal even one hair of Yours, O my Beloved.
ਤੂ ਸਾਹੀ ਹੂ ਸਾਹੁ ਹਉ ਕਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਾ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰਿਆ ॥੫॥
too saahee hoo saahu hau keh na sakaa gun teriaa |5|
You are the King of kings; I cannot even describe Your Glorious Praises. ||5||
ਸਹੀਆ ਤਊ ਅਸੰਖ ਮੰਞਹੁ ਹਭਿ ਵਧਾਣੀਆ ॥
saheea taoo asankh manyahu habh vadhaaneea |
Your brides are countless; they are all greater than I am.
ਹਿਕ ਭੋਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਰਸੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀਆ ॥੬॥
hik bhoree nadar nihaal dehi daras rang maaneea |6|
Please bless me with Your Glance of Grace, even for an instant; please bless me with Your Darshan, that I may revel in Your Love. ||6||
ਜੈ ਡਿਠੇ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰੀਐ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਵੰਞਨੑਿ ਦੂਰੇ ॥
jai dditthe man dheereeai kilavikh vanyana doore |
Seeing Him, my mind is comforted and consoled, and my sins and mistakes are far removed.
ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਮਾਉ ਮੈ ਜੋ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥੭॥
so kiau visarai maau mai jo rahiaa bharapoore |7|
How could I ever forget Him, O my mother? He is permeating and pervading everywhere. ||7||
ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਢਹਿ ਪਈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
hoe nimaanee dteh pee miliaa sehaj subhaae |
In humility, I bowed down in surrender to Him, and He naturally met me.
ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਇ ॥੮॥੧॥੪॥
poorab likhiaa paaeaa naanak sant sahaae |8|1|4|
I have received what was pre-ordained for me, O Nanak, with the help and assistance of the Saints. ||8||1||4||

The Simritees, the Vedas, the Puraanas and the other holy scriptures proclaim
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਭਿ ਕੂੜੁ ਗਾਲੑੀ ਹੋਛੀਆ ॥੧॥
naam binaa sabh koorr gaalaee hochheea |1|
that without the Naam, everything is false and worthless. ||1||
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਭਗਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ॥
naam nidhaan apaar bhagataa man vasai |
The infinite treasure of the Naam abides within the minds of the devotees.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਮੋਹੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
janam maran mohu dukh saadhoo sang nasai |1| rahaau |
Birth and death, attachment and suffering, are erased in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||Pause||
ਮੋਹਿ ਬਾਦਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਿ ਸਰਪਰ ਰੁੰਨਿਆ ॥
mohi baad ahankaar sarapar runiaa |
Those who indulge in attachment, conflict and egotism shall surely weep and cry.
ਸੁਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਨੑਿ ਮੂਲਿ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥੨॥
sukh na paaeina mool naam vichhuniaa |2|
Those who are separated from the Naam shall never find any peace. ||2||
ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਧਾਰਿ ਬੰਧਨਿ ਬੰਧਿਆ ॥
meree meree dhaar bandhan bandhiaa |
Crying out, Mine! Mine!, he is bound in bondage.
ਨਰਕਿ ਸੁਰਗਿ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੰਧਿਆ ॥੩॥
narak surag avataar maaeaa dhandhiaa |3|
Entangled in Maya, he is reincarnated in heaven and hell. ||3||
ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
sodhat sodhat sodh tat beechaariaa |
Searching, searching, searching, I have come to understand the essence of reality.
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਸਰਪਰ ਹਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥
naam binaa sukh naeh sarapar haariaa |4|
Without the Naam, there is no peace at all, and the mortal will surely fail. ||4||
ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮਤੇ ॥
aaveh jaeh anek mar mar janamate |
Many come and go; they die, and die again, and are reincarnated.
ਬਿਨੁ ਬੂਝੇ ਸਭੁ ਵਾਦਿ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਰਮਤੇ ॥੫॥
bin boojhe sabh vaad jonee bharamate |5|
Without understanding, they are totally useless, and they wander in reincarnation. ||5||
ਜਿਨੑ ਕਉ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ਤਿਨੑ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
jina kau bhe deaal tina saadhoo sang bheaa |
They alone join the Saadh Sangat, unto whom the Lord becomes Merciful.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਿਨੑੀ ਜਨੀ ਜਪਿ ਲਇਆ ॥੬॥
amrit har kaa naam tinaee janee jap leaa |6|
They chant and meditate on the Ambrosial Name of the Lord. ||6||
ਖੋਜਹਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਸੰਖ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਨੰਤ ਕੇ ॥
khojeh kott asankh bahut anant ke |
Uncounted millions, so many they are endless, search for Him.
ਜਿਸੁ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਨੇੜਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਹੇ ॥੭॥
jis bujhaae aap nerraa tis he |7|
But only that one, who understands his own self, sees God near at hand. ||7||
ਵਿਸਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ॥
visar naahee daataar aapanaa naam dehu |
Never forget me, O Great Giver - please bless me with Your Naam.
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਚਾਉ ਏਹੁ ॥੮॥੨॥੫॥੧੬॥
gun gaavaa din raat naanak chaau ehu |8|2|5|16|
To sing Your Glorious Praises day and night - O Nanak, this is my heart-felt desire. ||8||2||5||16||
