TRIBHANGI STANZA
ਸਭ ਜਗ ਪਾਪੀ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਜਾਪੀ ਅਥਪਨ ਥਾਪੀ ਦੇਸ ਦਿਸੰ ॥
sabh jag paapee kahoon na jaapee athapan thaapee des disan |
The whole world will become sinful, there will be none performing austerities
ਜਹ ਤਹ ਮਤਵਾਰੇ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਰੇ ਮਤਿ ਨ ਉਜਿਯਾਰੇ ਬਾਧ ਰਿਸੰ ॥
jeh teh matavaare bhramat bhramaare mat na ujiyaare baadh risan |
In all countries the unestablishable things will be established the jealous persons will roam hither and thither
ਪਾਪਨ ਰਸ ਰਾਤੇ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਾਤੇ ਕੁਮਤਨ ਦਾਤੇ ਮਤ ਨੇਕੰ ॥
paapan ras raate duramat maate kumatan daate mat nekan |
Absorbed in sinful activities many sects, originators of vices, will come in vogue
ਜਹ ਤਹ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਵੈ ਚਿਤ ਲਲਚਾਵੈ ਕਛੁਹੂੰ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕੰ ॥੧੦੭॥
jeh teh utth dhaavai chit lalachaavai kachhuhoon na paavai bin ekan |107|
Because of the greed in their mind, the people will run here and there, but they will not realise anything.107.
ਤਜਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਰਮੰ ਗਹਤ ਕੁਕਰਮੰ ਬਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਮੰ ਸਬ ਭਰਮੰ ॥
taj har dharaman gehat kukaraman bin prabh karaman sab bharaman |
Leaving the religion of the Lord, all will adopt evil ways, but without the actions related to the Lord everything will be useless
ਲਾਗਤ ਨਹੀ ਤੰਤ੍ਰੰ ਫੁਰਤ ਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੰ ਚਲਤ ਨ ਜੰਤ੍ਰੰ ਬਿਨ ਮਰਮੰ ॥
laagat nahee tantran furat na mantran chalat na jantran bin maraman |
Without understanding the secret, all the mantras, yantras and tantras will become useless
ਜਪ ਹੈ ਨ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵੀ ਆਦਿ ਅਜੇਵੀ ਪਰਮ ਜੁਧੀ ॥
jap hai na devee alakh abhevee aad ajevee param judhee |
The people will not repeat the Name of the supremely heroic, unconquerable and incomprehensible goddess
ਕੁਬੁਧਨ ਤਨ ਰਾਚੇ ਕਹਤ ਨ ਸਾਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਚੇ ਤਮਕ ਬੁਧੀ ॥੧੦੮॥
kubudhan tan raache kehat na saache prabheh na jaache tamak budhee |108|
They will remain absorbed in wicked deeds and morbid intellect, being devoid of the grace of the Lord.108.

HEER STANZA
ਅਪੰਡਿਤ ਗੁਣ ਮੰਡਿਤ ਸੁਬੁਧਿਨਿ ਖੰਡਿਤ ਦੇਖੀਐ ॥
apanddit gun manddit subudhin khanddit dekheeai |
The fools will become full of qualities and the wise will lose intellect
ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਰ ਧਰਮ ਛਾਡਿ ਅਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਲੇਖੀਐ ॥
chhatree bar dharam chhaadd akaram dharam lekheeai |
The Kshatriyas, leaving the superb dharma, will consider the vices as the real dharma
ਸਤਿ ਰਹਤ ਪਾਪ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਤ ਕ੍ਰੁਧ ਚਹਤ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
sat rehat paap grahit krudh chehat jaaneeai |
ਅਧਰਮ ਲੀਣ ਅੰਗ ਛੀਣ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪੀਣ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੧੦੯॥
adharam leen ang chheen krodh peen maaneeai |109|
Devoid of truth, the sin and anger will receive respect and the individuals, absorbed in adharma and engrossed in anger will decline.109.
ਕੁਤ੍ਰੀਅਨ ਰਸ ਚਾਹੀ ਗੁਣਨ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਾਹੀ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥
kutreean ras chaahee gunan na graahee jaaneeai |
Absorbed in the love of wicked women, the people will not adopt virtues
ਸਤ ਕਰਮ ਛਾਡ ਕੇ ਅਸਤ ਕਰਮ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥
sat karam chhaadd ke asat karam maaneeai |
They will honour the wicked people, leaving aside the good conduct
ਰੂਪ ਰਹਿਤ ਜੂਪ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਤ ਪਾਪ ਸਹਿਤ ਦੇਖੀਐ ॥
roop rahit joop grahit paap sahit dekheeai |
ਅਕਰਮ ਲੀਨ ਧਰਮ ਛੀਨ ਨਾਰਿ ਅਧੀਨ ਪੇਖੀਐ ॥੧੧੦॥
akaram leen dharam chheen naar adheen pekheeai |110|
The groups of people, devoid of beauty, will be seen absorbed in sinful acts and will be under the impact of women devoid of dharma.110.

ਅਤਿ ਪਾਪਨ ਤੇ ਜਗ ਛਾਇ ਰਹਿਓ ॥

ਕਛੁ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲ ਧਰਮ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਕਹਿਓ ॥
kachh budh bal dharam na jaat kahio |
The sins have spread over the world and the intellect and religion have become powerless
ਦਿਸ ਬਦਿਸਨ ਕੇ ਜੀਅ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਬੈ ॥
dis badisan ke jeea dekh sabai |
ਬਹੁ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਮ ਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਸੁ ਅਬੈ ॥੧੧੧॥
bahu paap karam rat hai su abai |111|
The beings of various countries are engrossed in sinful acts.111.
ਪ੍ਰਿਤਮਾਨ ਨ ਨਰ ਕਹੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਪਰੈ ॥
pritamaan na nar kahoon dekh parai |
ਕਛੁ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲ ਬਚਨ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੈ ॥
kachh budh bal bachan bichaar karai |
The people look like the stone-images and somewhere the dialogues are held with power of intellect
ਨਰ ਨਾਰਿਨ ਏਕ ਨ ਨੇਕ ਮਤੰ ॥
nar naarin ek na nek matan |
ਨਿਤ ਅਰਥਾਨਰਥ ਗਨਿਤ ਗਤੰ ॥੧੧੨॥
nit arathaanarath ganit gatan |112|
There are many sects of men and women and the meaningful is always becoming meaningless.112.

MAARAH STANZA
ਹਿਤ ਸੰਗ ਕੁਨਾਰਿਨ ਅਤਿ ਬਿਭਚਾਰਿਨ ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਐਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ॥
hit sang kunaarin at bibhachaarin jin ke ais prakaar |
ਬਡ ਕੁਲਿ ਜਦਪਿ ਉਪਜੀ ਬਹੁ ਛਬਿ ਬਿਗਸੀ ਤਦਿਪ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਬਿਭਚਾਰਿ ॥
badd kul jadap upajee bahu chhab bigasee tadip pria bibhachaar |
People will love wicked and vicious women and undoubtedly the women may have taken birth in superior clans, but they will be indulging in fornication
ਚਿਤ੍ਰਤ ਬਹੁ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਨ ਕੁਸਮ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

ਕਿਧੋ ਦੇਵ ਲੋਕ ਤਜਿ ਸੁਢਰ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਉਪਜੀ ਬਿਬਿਧ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ॥੧੧੩॥
kidho dev lok taj sudtar sundaree upajee bibidh prakaar |113|
The women multi-coloured like flowers and like delicate creepers will look like the heavenly damsels coming down.113.
ਹਿਤ ਅਤਿ ਦੁਰ ਮਾਨਸ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨਸ ਨਰ ਹਰ ਅਰੁ ਬਟ ਪਾਰ ॥
hit at dur maanas kachhoo na jaanas nar har ar batt paar |
The men will look to their interest secretly and all will act like robbers
ਕਛੁ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨ ਜਾਨਤ ਬੋਲਤ ਕੁਬਿਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ॥
kachh saasatr na maanat simrit na jaanat bolat kubidh prakaar |
They will not accept the Shastras and Smritis and will only talk in uncivilized way
ਕੁਸਟਿਤ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਨ ਗਲਿਤ ਕੁਰੰਗਨ ਅਲਪ ਅਜੋਗਿ ਅਛਜਿ ॥
kusattit te angan galit kurangan alap ajog achhaj |
Their limbs will decay because of leprosy and they will be subjected to fatal diseases
ਕਿਧੋ ਨਰਕ ਛੋਰਿ ਅਵਤਰੇ ਮਹਾ ਪਸੁ ਡੋਲਤ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਨਿਲਜ ॥੧੧੪॥
kidho narak chhor avatare mahaa pas ddolat prithee nilaj |114|
These people will roam on the earth unashamedly like animals as if they had come from hell and incarnated on earth.114.

DOHRA
ਸੰਕਰ ਬਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਭਈ ਇਕ ਬ੍ਰਨ ਰਹਾ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sankar baran prajaa bhee ik bran rahaa na koe |
All the subjects became hybrid and none of the castes had remained in tact
ਸਕਲ ਸੂਦ੍ਰਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਭੇ ਦਈਵ ਕਰੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ॥੧੧੫॥
sakal soodrataa praapat bhe deev karai so hoe |115|
All of them obtained the wisdom of Shudras and whatever the Lord desires, will happen.115.
ਸੰਕਰ ਬ੍ਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਭਈ ਧਰਮ ਨ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਰਹਾਨ ॥
sankar bran prajaa bhee dharam na katahoon rahaan |
There had been no remnant of dharma and all the subjects became hybrid
ਪਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਭਏ ਭਈ ਧਰਮ ਕੀ ਹਾਨਿ ॥੧੧੬॥
paap prachur raajaa bhe bhee dharam kee haan |116|
SORTHA the kings became the propagators of sinful acts the dharma declined.116.

ਧਰਮ ਨ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਰਹਾਨ ਪਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਚੁਰ ਜਗ ਮੋ ਧਰਾ ॥
dharam na katahoon rahaan paap prachur jag mo dharaa |
The dharma was not visible in the world and the sin greatly prevailed in the world
ਧਰਮ ਸਬਨ ਬਿਸਰਾਨ ਪਾਪ ਕੰਠ ਸਬ ਜਗ ਕੀਓ ॥੧੧੭॥
dharam saban bisaraan paap kantth sab jag keeo |117|
Everyone forgot dharma and the whole world was drowned upto the throat.117.
ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਚੜ︀ਯੋ ਅਸੰਭ ਜਗਤ ਕਵਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਾਚ ਹੈ ॥
kalijug charrayo asanbh jagat kavan bidh baach hai |
The impossible Iron Age has come
ਰੰਗਹੁ ਏਕਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਤਬ ਛੁਟਿ ਹੋ ਕਲਿ ਕਾਲ ਤੇ ॥੧੧੮॥
rangahu ekeh rang tab chhutt ho kal kaal te |118|
In what way the world will be saved?’ till the time they are not imbued in the love of the one Lord, upto that time there will be no safety from the impact of the Iron Age.118.

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਤਿ ਊਚਾ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥
at aoochaa taa kaa darabaaraa |
His Darbaar, His Court, is the most lofty and exalted.
ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥
ant naahee kichh paaraavaaraa |
It has no end or limitations.
ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਲਖ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
kott kott kott lakh dhaavai |
Millions, millions, tens of millions seek,
ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
eik til taa kaa mehal na paavai |1|
but they cannot find even a tiny bit of His Mansion. ||1||
ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਕਉਣੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
suhaavee kaun su velaa jit prabh melaa |1| rahaau |
What is that auspicious moment, when God is met? ||1||Pause||
ਲਾਖ ਭਗਤ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਆਰਾਧਹਿ ॥
laakh bhagat jaa kau aaraadheh |
Tens of thousands of devotees worship Him in adoration.
ਲਾਖ ਤਪੀਸਰ ਤਪੁ ਹੀ ਸਾਧਹਿ ॥
laakh tapeesar tap hee saadheh |
Tens of thousands of ascetics practice austere discipline.
ਲਾਖ ਜੋਗੀਸਰ ਕਰਤੇ ਜੋਗਾ ॥
laakh jogeesar karate jogaa |
Tens of thousands of Yogis practice Yoga.
ਲਾਖ ਭੋਗੀਸਰ ਭੋਗਹਿ ਭੋਗਾ ॥੨॥
laakh bhogeesar bhogeh bhogaa |2|
Tens of thousands of pleasure seekers seek pleasure. ||2||
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਥੋਰਾ ॥
ghatt ghatt vaseh jaaneh thoraa |
He dwells in each and every heart, but only a few know this.
ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਜਣੁ ਪਰਦਾ ਤੋਰਾ ॥
hai koee saajan paradaa toraa |
Is there any friend who can rip apart the screen of separation?
ਕਰਉ ਜਤਨ ਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥
krau jatan je hoe miharavaanaa |
I can only make the effort, if the Lord is merciful to me.
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਦੇਈ ਜੀਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
taa kau deee jeeo kurabaanaa |3|
I sacrifice my body and soul to Him. ||3||
ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
firat firat santan peh aaeaa |
After wandering around for so long, I have finally come to the Saints;
ਦੂਖ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥
dookh bhram hamaaraa sagal mittaaeaa |
all of my pains and doubts have been eradicated.
ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਭੂੰਚਾ ॥
mehal bulaaeaa prabh amrit bhoonchaa |
God summoned me to the Mansion of His Presence, and blessed me with the Ambrosial Nectar of His Name.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਊਚਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
kahu naanak prabh meraa aoochaa |4|1|
Says Nanak, my God is lofty and exalted. ||4||1||

ਧਨੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਕਰਣਾ ॥
dhan su velaa jit darasan karanaa |
Blessed is that time, when the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is given;
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣਾ ॥੧॥
hau balihaaree satigur charanaa |1|
I am a sacrifice to the feet of the True Guru. ||1||
ਜੀਅ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
jeea ke daate preetam prabh mere |
You are the Giver of souls, O my Beloved God.
ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮੁ ਚਿਤੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man jeevai prabh naam chitere |1| rahaau |
My soul lives by reflecting upon the Name of God. ||1||Pause||
ਸਚੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
sach mantru tumaaraa amrit baanee |
True is Your Mantra, Ambrosial is the Bani of Your Word.
ਸੀਤਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸੁਜਾਣੀ ॥੨॥
seetal purakh drisatt sujaanee |2|
Cooling and soothing is Your Presence, all-knowing is Your gaze. ||2||
ਸਚੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਤਖਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ॥
sach hukam tumaaraa takhat nivaasee |
True is Your Command; You sit upon the eternal throne.
ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥੩॥
aae na jaavai meraa prabh abinaasee |3|
My eternal God does not come or go. ||3||
ਤੁਮ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਦਾਸ ਹਮ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
tum miharavaan daas ham deenaa |
You are the Merciful Master; I am Your humble servant.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਭਰਪੁਰਿ ਲੀਣਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
naanak saahib bharapur leenaa |4|2|
O Nanak, the Lord and Master is totally permeating and pervading everywhere. ||4||2||

ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
too beant ko viralaa jaanai |
You are infinite - only a few know this.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕੋ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥੧॥
gur prasaad ko sabad pachhaanai |1|
By Guru's Grace, some come to understand You through the Word of the Shabad. ||1||
ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
sevak kee aradaas piaare |
Your servant offers this prayer, O Beloved:
ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਣ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jap jeevaa prabh charan tumaare |1| rahaau |
I live by meditating on Your Feet, God. ||1||Pause||
ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ॥
deaal purakh mere prabh daate |
O my Merciful and Almighty God, O Great Giver,
ਜਿਸਹਿ ਜਨਾਵਹੁ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੨॥
jiseh janaavahu tineh tum jaate |2|
he alone knows You, whom You so bless. ||2||
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
sadaa sadaa jaaee balihaaree |
Forever and ever, I am a sacrifice to You.
ਇਤ ਉਤ ਦੇਖਉ ਓਟ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
eit ut dekhau ott tumaaree |3|
Here and hereafter, I seek Your Protection. ||3||
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਗੁਣੁ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
mohi niragun gun kichhoo na jaataa |
I am without virtue; I know none of Your Glorious Virtues.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧੂ ਦੇਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੪॥੩॥
naanak saadhoo dekh man raataa |4|3|
O Nanak, seeing the Holy Saint, my mind is imbued with You. ||4||3||
