ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਜੀਤ ਕੈ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਛੋਰਿ ਦਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਓਜ ਜਨਾਯੋ ॥
kaanrah joo jo tum jeet kai bhoopat chhor dayo tih oj janaayo |
“O Krishna! the Jarasandh whom you had released, he is again demonstrating his strength
ਮੈ ਦਲ ਤੇਈਸ ਛੂਹਨ ਲੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਈਸ ਬਾਰ ਸੁ ਜੁਧ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥
mai dal teees chhoohan lai sang teees baar su judh machaayo |
You had fought with his extremely large twenty-three military units for twenty-three times,
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੋ ਅੰਤਿ ਭਜਾਇ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਮਥਰਾ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਹਨੇ ਹੂ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
kaanrah ko ant bhajaae rahiyo matharaa ke bikhai rahane hoo na paayo |
“And he had ultimately caused you to run away from Matura
ਬੇਚ ਕੈ ਖਾਈ ਹੈ ਲਾਜ ਮਨੋ ਤਿਨਿ ਯੌ ਜੜ ਆਪਨ ਕੋ ਗਰਬਾਯੋ ॥੨੩੦੮॥
bech kai khaaee hai laaj mano tin yau jarr aapan ko garabaayo |2308|
That fool has now no shame left in him and has been puffed up with pride.”2308.
ਅਥ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਦਿਲੀ ਆਵਨ ਰਾਜਸੂਇ ਜਗ ਕਰਨ ਕਥਨੰ ॥

Till that time, Narada came of coming of Krishana and taking him alongwith him, he went to watch Delhi.2309

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕਹੀ ਸਭ ਸੌ ਹਮ ਦਿਲੀ ਚਲੈ ਕਿਧੌ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਮਾਰੈ ॥
sree brijanaath kahee sabh sau ham dilee chalai kidhau taahee ko maarai |
ਜੋ ਮਤਿਵਾਰਨ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਆਵਤ ਹੈ ਸੋਊ ਬਾਤ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ ॥
jo mativaaran ke man bheetar aavat hai soaoo baat bichaarai |
Krishna said to all, “We are going towards Delhi in order to kill that Jarashandh and the idea that has cropped up in the minds of our zealous warriors,
ਊਧਵ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੂ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਦਿਲੀ ਹੀ ਓਰ ਸਿਧਾਰੈ ॥
aoodhav aise kahiyo prabh joo prithamai fun dilee hee or sidhaarai |
ਪਾਰਥ ਭੀਮ ਕੋ ਲੈ ਸੰਗ ਆਪਨੇ ਤਉ ਤਿਹ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਕੌ ਜਾਇ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ॥੨੩੧੦॥
paarath bheem ko lai sang aapane tau tih satru kau jaae sanghaarai |2310|
Thinking about that, we are going there, Udhava also told this to the people that taking Arjuna and Bhima, with him, Krishna will kill the enemy.2310.
ਊਧਵ ਜੋ ਸੁਭ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਕਉ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਹਿਓ ਸੁ ਸਭੈ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਨ ਲੀਓ ॥
aoodhav jo subh satru kau maar kahio su sabhai har maan leeo |
Everyone agreed with Udhava regarding the killing of the enemy
ਰਥਪਤਿ ਭਲੇ ਗਜ ਬਾਜਨ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਸੈਨ ਭਲੇ ਰਚੀਓ ॥
rathapat bhale gaj baajan ke brij naaeik sain bhale racheeo |
Krishna prepared his army taking with him the chariot-riders, elephants and horses,
ਮਿਲਿ ਟਾਕ ਅਫੀਮਨ ਭਾਗ ਚੜਾਇ ਸੁ ਅਉ ਮਦਰਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਨ ਪੀਓ ॥
mil ttaak afeeman bhaag charraae su aau madaraa sukh maan peeo |
And also made use of opium, hemp and wine delightfully
ਸੁਧਿ ਕੈਬੇ ਕਉ ਨਾਰਦ ਭੇਜਿ ਦਯੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਊਧਵ ਸੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਾਜ ਕੀਓ ॥੨੩੧੧॥
sudh kaibe kau naarad bhej dayo kahiyo aoodhav so mil kaaj keeo |2311|
He sent Udhava in advance to Delhi in order to keep Narada informed about the recent news.2311.

The whole army, fully embellished, reached Delhi, where the sons of Kunti clung to the feet of Krishna
ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੀ ॥
jadupat kee at sevaa karee |
ਸਭ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਪਰਹਰੀ ॥੨੩੧੨॥
sabh man kee chintaa paraharee |2312|
They served Krishna heartily and relinquished all the afflictions of the mind.2312.

ਕਹੀ ਜੁਧਿਸਟਰ ਬਾਤ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹਉ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਰਤ ॥
kahee judhisattar baat ik prabh hau binatee karat |
Yudhistar said, “O Lord! I have to make one request
ਜਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਸੁਹਾਤ ਰਾਜਸੂਅ ਤਬ ਮੈ ਕਰੋ ॥੨੩੧੩॥
jau prabh sravan suhaat raajasooa tab mai karo |2313|
If you like, I may perform Rajsui Yajna.”2313.

ਤਬ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
tab jadupat ih bhaat sunaayo |
ਮੈ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਹੀ ਕਉ ਆਯੋ ॥
mai ih kaaraj hee kau aayo |
Then Krishna said this, “I have come fort this purpose
ਪਹਲੇ ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿ ਕਉ ਮਾਰੈ ॥
pahale jaraasandh kau maarai |
ਨਾਮ ਜਗ︀ਯ ਕੋ ਬਹੁਰ ਉਚਾਰੈ ॥੨੩੧੪॥
naam jagay ko bahur uchaarai |2314|
But we can talk about Yajna only after killing Jarasandh.”2314.

ਭੀਮ ਪਠਿਓ ਤਬ ਪੂਰਬ ਕੋ ਅਰੁ ਦਛਨ ਕੋ ਸਹਦੇਵ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
bheem patthio tab poorab ko ar dachhan ko sahadev patthaayo |
ਪਛਮਿ ਭੇਜਤ ਭੇ ਨੁਕਲ ਕਹਿ ਬਿਉਤ ਇਹੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਗ︀ਯ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
pachham bhejat bhe nukal keh biaut ihai nrip jagay banaayo |
The king then devised a plan of sending Bhim to the East, Sahdev to the South and Nakul to the West
ਪਾਰਥ ਗਯੋ ਤਬ ਉਤਰ ਕਉ ਨ ਬਚਿਯੋ ਜਿਹ ਯਾ ਸੰਗ ਜੁਧ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥
paarath gayo tab utar kau na bachiyo jih yaa sang judh machaayo |
Arjuna went towards the North and he did not leave anyone unattended in fighting
ਜੋਰਿ ਘਨੋ ਧਨੁ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਸੁ ਦਿਲੀਪਤਿ ਪੈ ਚਲਿ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਆਯੋ ॥੨੩੧੫॥
jor ghano dhan sayaam bhanai su dileepat pai chal arajun aayo |2315|
In this way, the most powerful Arjuna came back to Delhi Soverign Yudhishtar.2315.
ਪੂਰਬ ਜੀਤ ਕੈ ਭੀਮ ਫਿਰਿਯੋ ਅਰੁ ਉਤਰ ਜੀਤ ਕੈ ਪਾਰਥ ਆਯੋ ॥
poorab jeet kai bheem firiyo ar utar jeet kai paarath aayo |
ਦਛਨ ਜੀਤਿ ਫਿਰਿਓ ਸਹਦੇਵ ਘਨੋ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਤਿਨਿ ਓਜ ਜਨਾਯੋ ॥
dachhan jeet firio sahadev ghano chit mai tin oj janaayo |
Bhim came after conquering East, Arjuna after conquering North and Sahdev came back with pride after conquering the South
ਪਛਮ ਜੀਤਿ ਲੀਯੋ ਨੁਕਲੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਤਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਨ ਪੈ ਸਿਰੁ ਨਿਆਯੋ ॥
pachham jeet leeyo nukale nrip ke tin paaein pai sir niaayo |
Nakul conquered the West and after returning bowed before the king
ਐਸ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਤ ਲਏ ਹਮ ਸੰਧਿ ਜਰਾ ਨਹੀ ਜੀਤਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੨੩੧੬॥
ais kahiyo sabh jeet le ham sandh jaraa nahee jeetan paayo |2316|
Nakul said this they had conquered all except Jarasandh,2316.
ਸੋਰਠਾ ॥

ਕਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਦਿਜ ਭੇਖ ਧਰਿ ਤਾ ਸੋ ਹਮ ਰਨ ਚਹੈ ॥
kahee krisan dij bhekh dhar taa so ham ran chahai |
Krishna said, “I want to wage a war with him in the garb of a Brahmin
ਭਿਰਿ ਹਮ ਸਿਉ ਹੁਇ ਏਕ ਸੁਭਟ ਸੈਨ ਸਭ ਛੋਰ ਕੈ ॥੨੩੧੭॥
bhir ham siau hue ek subhatt sain sabh chhor kai |2317|
Now the battle will be fought between me and Jarasandh, leaving aside both the armies.2317.

ਭੇਖ ਧਰੋ ਤੁਮ ਬਿਪਨ ਕੋ ਸੰਗ ਪਾਰਥ ਭੀਮ ਕੇ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹਿਓ ॥
bhekh dharo tum bipan ko sang paarath bheem ke sayaam kahio |
ਹਮਹੂ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਬਿਪ ਕੇ ਭੇਖਹਿ ਧਾਰਤ ਹੈ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਰਹਿਓ ॥
hamahoo tumare sang bip ke bhekheh dhaarat hai neh jaat rahio |
Krishna asked Arjuna and Bhima to assume the guise of Brahmins and said, “I shall also assumed the garb of Brahmin
ਚਿਤ ਚਾਹਤ ਹੈ ਚਹਿ ਹੈ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਫੁਨਿ ਏਕਲੇ ਕੈ ਕਰਿ ਖਗ ਗਹਿਓ ॥
chit chaahat hai cheh hai tih te fun ekale kai kar khag gahio |
Then he also, according to his desire kept a sword with him and concealed it
ਕਹਿਓ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਪਨ ਬਿਪ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਧਰਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਕਾਹੂ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ਲਹਿਓ ॥੨੩੧੮॥
kahio fir aapan bip ko roop dhario nahee kaahoo te jaat lahio |2318|
He himself assumed such a garb, that he may not be recognised by anyone.2318.
ਬਾਮਨ ਭੇਖ ਜਬੈ ਧਰਿ ਕੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੰਧਿ ਜਰਾ ਕੇ ਗਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
baaman bhekh jabai dhar kai nrip sandh jaraa ke ge nrip jaanee |
ਨੈਨ ਨਿਹਾਰ ਵਡੇ ਭੁਜ ਦੰਡ ਸੁ ਛਤ੍ਰਿਨ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਰੀਤਿ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥
nain nihaar vadde bhuj dandd su chhatrin kee sabh reet pachhaanee |
When adopting the guise of a Brahmin, all of them went to the king Jarasandh, he, seeing long arms recognised them as Kshatriyas
ਤੇਈਸ ਬਾਰ ਭਿਰਿਯੋ ਹਮ ਸੋ ਸੋਊ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਦੁਆਰਵਤੀ ਰਜਧਾਨੀ ॥
teees baar bhiriyo ham so soaoo hai jih duaaravatee rajadhaanee |
ਭੇਦ ਲਹਿਯੋ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਛਲਿ ਕੈ ਇਹ ਆਯੋ ਹੈ ਗੋਕੁਲ ਨਾਥ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ॥੨੩੧੯॥
bhed lahiyo sabh hee chhal kai ih aayo hai gokul naath gumaanee |2319|
He also recognised that he is the same person who has fought with him from Dwarka for twenty-three times and the same Krishna has come to deceive him.2319.
ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਆਪਨ ਹੀ ਉਠ ਕੈ ਇਹ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
sayaam joo aapan hee utth kai ih bhoopat ko ih bhaat sunaayo |
ਤੇਈਸ ਬੇਰ ਭਜਿਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੌ ਤ੍ਵੈ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਰ ਭਜਾਯੋ ॥
teees ber bhajiyo har siau har kau tvai ek hee baar bhajaayo |
Krishna himself stood and said to the king, “You have fled for twenty-three times in front of Krishna and only once you have caused him to run away
ਏਤੇ ਪੈ ਬੀਰ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਸੁ ਇਹੈ ਹਮਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਪੈ ਅਬ ਆਯੋ ॥
ete pai beer kahaavat hai su ihai hamare chit pai ab aayo |
“This thought has come to my mind that on this you are calling yourself a hero
ਬਾਮਨ ਹੁਇ ਤੁਹਿ ਸੇ ਸੰਗ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਕੇ ਚਾਹਤ ਹੈ ਕਰ ਜੁਧੁ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥੨੩੨੦॥
baaman hue tuhi se sang chhatree ke chaahat hai kar judh machaayo |2320|
We, being Brahmins, want to fight with Kshatiya like you.2320.
ਬਲਿ ਮਾਪਿ ਕੈ ਦੇਹ ਦਈ ਹਰਿ ਕਉ ਸਭ ਹੋਰ ਰਹੇ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਯੋ ॥
bal maap kai deh dee har kau sabh hor rahe na bichaar keeyo |
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਕਾ ਤਨੁ ਹੈ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸੋ ਭਿਛੁਕ ਮਾਗਤ ਦੇਹ ਬੀਯੋ ਨ ਬੀਯੋ ॥
kahiyo kaa tan hai bhagavaan so bhichhuk maagat deh beeyo na beeyo |
“The king Bali, without any other thought, gave his body to the Lord-god thinking that it was only the Lord who was standing at his door like begger and none else
ਸੁਨਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੂ ਰਾਵਨ ਮਾਰ ਕੈ ਰਾਜੁ ਭਿਭੀਛਨ ਦੇਹਿ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਨ ਲੀਯੋ ॥
sun raam joo raavan maar kai raaj bhibheechhan dehi tih te na leeyo |
“Rama gave kingdom to Vibhishana after killing Ravana and did not get it back from him
ਹਮ ਰੇ ਅਬ ਮਾਗਤ ਹੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਿਉ ਚੁਪ ਠਾਨਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸੁਕਚਾਤ ਹੀਯੋ ॥੨੩੨੧॥
ham re ab maagat hai nrip kiau chup tthaan rahio sukachaat heeyo |2321|
Now my companions who are kings, are begging your person and you are standing there silently and hesitatingly.2321.
ਦੇਖਿ ਦਯੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਸੁਤ ਸੂਰਜ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਨਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਕੀਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
dekh dayo brahamaa sut sooraj chit bikhai nahee traas keeyo hai |
“The god Surya gave his unique power (Kavach-kundal the armour-rings) and even then he was not frightened
ਦਾਸ ਭਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਚੰਦ ਸੁਨਿਯੋ ਸੁਤ ਕਾਜ ਨ ਲਾਜ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਧਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
daas bhayo har chand suniyo sut kaaj na laaj kee or dhayo hai |
The king Harish Chandra became a servant but his attachment with his son (and wife) could not degrade him
ਮੂੰਡ ਦਯੋ ਮਧੁ ਕਾਟਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਰਤੀ ਕੁ ਨ ਸੰਕਤਮਾਨ ਭਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
moondd dayo madh kaatt muraar ratee ku na sankatamaan bhayo hai |
“Then, Krishna as Kshatriya fearlessly killed the demon mur
ਜੁਧਹਿ ਚਾਹਤ ਹੋ ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਬਕਹਾ ਬਲ ਘਾਟ ਗਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੨੩੨੨॥
judheh chaahat ho tin te tumaro bakahaa bal ghaatt gayo hai |2322|
Now the same Brahmins want to wage a war with you, but it appears that your strength has decilined.”2322.
ਪਛਮ ਸੂਰ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਸੁਨੀਯੈ ਉਲਟੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਗੰਗ ਬਹੀ ਅਬ ਆਵੈ ॥
pachham soor charriyo suneeyai ulattee fir gang bahee ab aavai |
The sun can rise from the west, the Ganges can flow backwards,
ਸਤੁ ਟਰਿਓ ਹਰੀ ਚੰਦ ਹੂ ਕੋ ਧਰਨੀ ਧਰ ਤਿਆਗ ਧਰਾ ਤੇ ਪਰਾਵੈ ॥
sat ttario haree chand hoo ko dharanee dhar tiaag dharaa te paraavai |
Harish Chandra can fall down from his truth, the mountains can flee and leave the earth,
ਸਿੰਘ ਚਲੈ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤੇ ਟਰਿ ਕੈ ਗਜ ਰਾਜ ਉਡਿਯੋ ਨਭ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
singh chalai mrig te ttar kai gaj raaj uddiyo nabh maarag jaavai |
The lion can be frightened by a deer and the elephant can fly but Arjuna said,
ਪਾਰਥ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਬ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਭਰੈ ਨਹਿ ਜੁਧੁ ਮਚਾਵੈ ॥੨੩੨੩॥
paarath sayaam kahiyo tab bhoopat traas bharai neh judh machaavai |2323|
“I think, if all this happens, the king is so much frightened that he cannot wage a war,”2323.

Dayv-Gandhaaree, Fifth Mehl:
ਮਾਈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥

O mother, how fruitful is the birth of one who sings the Glories of God,
ਸਫਲ ਆਇਆ ਜੀਵਨ ਫਲੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
safal aaeaa jeevan fal taa ko paarabraham liv laavai |1| rahaau |
and enshrines love for the Supreme Lord God. ||1||Pause||
ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੂਰੁ ਸੋ ਬੇਤਾ ਜੋ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
sundar sugharr soor so betaa jo saadhoo sang paavai |
Beautiful, wise, brave and divine is one who obtains the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਾਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਨਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜੋਨੀ ਧਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
naam uchaar kare har rasanaa bahurr na jonee dhaavai |1|
He chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, with his tongue, and does not have to wander in reincarnation again. ||1||
ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਆਨ ਨ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਆਵੈ ॥
pooran braham raviaa man tan meh aan na drisattee aavai |
The Perfect Lord God pervades his mind and body; he does not look upon any other.

Hell and disease do not afflict one who joins the Company of the Lord's humble servants, O Nanak; the Lord attaches him to the hem of His robe. ||2||14||

ਚੰਚਲੁ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਹੀ ਉਰਝਾਇਓ ॥

His fickle mind is entangled in a dream.
ਇਤਨੀ ਨ ਬੂਝੈ ਕਬਹੂ ਚਲਨਾ ਬਿਕਲ ਭਇਓ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
eitanee na boojhai kabahoo chalanaa bikal bheo sang maaeo |1| rahaau |
He does not even understand this much, that someday he shall have to depart; he has gone crazy with Maya. ||1||Pause||
ਕੁਸਮ ਰੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਰਸਿ ਰਚਿਆ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਏਕ ਉਪਾਇਓ ॥
kusam rang sang ras rachiaa bikhiaa ek upaaeo |
He is engrossed in the delight of the flower's color; he strives only to indulge in corruption.
ਲੋਭ ਸੁਨੈ ਮਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੈ ਬੇਗਿ ਤਹਾ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
lobh sunai man sukh kar maanai beg tahaa utth dhaaeo |1|
Hearing about greed, he feels happy in his mind, and he runs after it. ||1||
ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸ੍ਰਮੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਸੰਤ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਓ ॥
firat firat bahut sram paaeo sant duaarai aaeo |
Wandering and roaming all around, I have endured great pain, but now, I have come to the door of the Saint.
ਕਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਲੀਓ ਸਮਾਇਓ ॥੨॥੧੫॥
karee kripaa paarabraham suaamee naanak leeo samaaeo |2|15|
Granting His Grace, the Supreme Lord Master has blended Nanak with Himself. ||2||15||

All peace is found in the Guru's feet.
ਕਲਿਮਲ ਡਾਰਨ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਧਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਆਸਰ ਮੋਹਿ ਤਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kalimal ddaaran maneh sadhaaran ih aasar mohi taranaa |1| rahaau |
They drive away my sins and purify my mind; their Support carries me across. ||1||Pause||
ਪੂਜਾ ਅਰਚਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਬੰਦਨ ਇਹੈ ਟਹਲ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਰਨਾ ॥
poojaa arachaa sevaa bandan ihai ttehal mohi karanaa |
This is the labor which I perform: worship, flower-offerings, service and devotion.
ਬਿਗਸੈ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਗਰਭੈ ਪਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
bigasai man hovai paragaasaa bahur na garabhai paranaa |1|
My mind blossoms forth and is enlightened, and I am not cast into the womb again. ||1||
ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਪਰਸਉ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਇਹੈ ਧਿਆਨਾ ਧਰਨਾ ॥
safal moorat parsau santan kee ihai dhiaanaa dharanaa |
I behold the fruitful vision of the Saint; this is the meditation I have taken.
ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪਰਿਓ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾ ॥੨॥੧੬॥
bheo kripaal tthaakur naanak kau pario saadh kee saranaa |2|16|
The Lord Master has become Merciful to Nanak, and he has entered the Sanctuary of the Holy. ||2||16||

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਹੀਐ ॥

Offer your prayer to your Lord.
ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਸਿਧਿ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
chaar padaarath anad mangal nidh sookh sehaj sidh laheeai |1| rahaau |
You shall obtain the four blessings, and the treasures of bliss, pleasure, peace, poise and the spiritual powers of the Siddhas. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਚਲੁ ਗਹੀਐ ॥
maan tiaag har charanee laagau tis prabh anchal gaheeai |
Renounce your self-conceit, and grasp hold of the Guru's feet; hold tight to the hem of God's robe.
ਆਂਚ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਤੇ ਸਰਨਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀ ਅਹੀਐ ॥੧॥
aanch na laagai agan saagar te saran suaamee kee aheeai |1|
The heat of the ocean of fire does not affect one who longs for the Lord and Master's Sanctuary. ||1||
ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਧ ਮਹਾ ਅਕ੍ਰਿਤਘਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਹੀਐ ॥
kott paraadh mahaa akritaghan bahur bahur prabh saheeai |
Again and again, God puts up with the millions of sins of the supremely ungrateful ones.
ਕਰੁਣਾ ਮੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਨਹੀਐ ॥੨॥੧੭॥
karunaa mai pooran paramesur naanak tis saranaheeai |2|17|
The embodiment of mercy, the Perfect Transcendent Lord - Nanak longs for His Sanctuary. ||2||17||

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਪਰਵੇਸਾ ॥

Place the Guru's feet within your heart,
ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਉਤਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਕਲੇਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rog sog sabh dookh binaase utare sagal kalesaa |1| rahaau |
and all illness, sorrow and pain shall be dispelled; all suffering shall come to an end. ||1||Pause||
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਮਜਨ ਇਸਨਾਨਾ ॥
janam janam ke kilabikh naaseh kott majan isanaanaa |
The sins of countless incarnations are erased, as if one has taken purifying baths at millions of sacred shrines.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗਾਵਤ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਲਾਗੋ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨਾ ॥੧॥
naam nidhaan gaavat gun gobind laago sehaj dhiaanaa |1|
The treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is obtained by singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, and centering one's mind in meditation on Him. ||1||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਕੀਨੋ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋਰਿ ਨਿਰਾਰੇ ॥
kar kirapaa apunaa daas keeno bandhan tor niraare |
Showing His Mercy, the Lord has made me His slave; breaking my bonds, He has saved me.
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਵਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੧੮॥ ਛਕੇ ੩ ॥
jap jap naam jeevaa teree baanee naanak daas balihaare |2|18| chhake 3 |
I live by chanting and meditating on the Naam, and the Bani of Your Word; slave Nanak is a sacrifice to You. ||2||18|| Third Set of Six||

ਕਰਹੁ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਡਾਰਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karahu anugrahu suaamee mere man te kabahu na ddaarau |1| rahaau |
Be Merciful to me, O my Lord and Master, that I might never forsake them from my mind. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਲਾਈ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਰਉ ॥
saadhoo dhoor laaee mukh masatak kaam krodh bikh jaarau |
Applying the dust of the feet of the Holy to my face and forehead, I burn away the poison of sexual desire and anger.
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਨੀਚੁ ਆਤਮ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਉ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਇਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਧਾਰਉ ॥੧॥
sabh te neech aatam kar maanau man meh ihu sukh dhaarau |1|
I judge myself to be the lowest of all; in this way, I instill peace within my mind. ||1||
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਕਲਮਲ ਸਗਲੇ ਝਾਰਉ ॥
gun gaavah tthaakur abinaasee kalamal sagale jhaarau |
I sing the Glorious Praises of the Imperishable Lord and Master, and I shake off all my sins.
ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਉ ॥੨॥੧੯॥
naam nidhaan naanak daan paavau kantth laae ur dhaarau |2|19|
I have found the gift of the treasure of the Naam, O Nanak; I hug it close, and enshrine it in my heart. ||2||19||
