ਹੇਰ ਕੈ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸਤ੍ਰਾਜਿਤ ਕਉ ਮਨਿ ਲੈ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਤਾ ਸਿਰ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
her kai sayaam satraajit kau man lai kar mai fun taa sir maaree |
ਜਾ ਹਿਤ ਦੋਸ ਦਯੋ ਸੋਈ ਲੈ ਜੜ ਕੋਪ ਭਰੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
jaa hit dos dayo soee lai jarr kop bhare ih bhaat uchaaree |
After finding out Satrajit, Krishna taking the jewel in his hand, threw it in front of him and said, “O fool! take away your jewel, for which you had denounced me,”
ਚਉਕਿ ਕਹੈ ਸਭ ਜਾਦਵ ਯੌ ਸੁ ਪਿਖੋ ਰਿਸਿ ਕੈਸੀ ਕਰੀ ਗਿਰਧਾਰੀ ॥
chauk kahai sabh jaadav yau su pikho ris kaisee karee giradhaaree |
ਸੋ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਬਿਤਨ ਬੀਚ ਕਥਾ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਕਬ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਬਿਥਾਰੀ ॥੨੦੬੨॥
so ih bhaat kabitan beech kathaa jag mai kab sayaam bithaaree |2062|
All the Yadavas were wonder-struck to see this anger of Krishna and the same story has been related by the poet Shyam in his Stanzas.2062.
ਹਾਥਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਕੋ ਧਰਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਨਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਨ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ ॥
haath rahio man ko dhar kai tin naik na kaahoon kee or nihaario |
ਲਜਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਖਿਸਿਯਾਨੋ ਘਨੋ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਕਰਿ ਧਾਮ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਓ ॥
lajit hvai khisiyaano ghano dubidhaa kar dhaam kee or sidhaario |
He took the jewel in his hand and without seeing towards anyone and feeling ashamed, left for his home in embarrassment
ਬੈਰ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਹਮਰੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਰੁ ਕਲੰਕ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਗਯੋ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਰਿਓ ॥
bair pariyo hamaro har so ru kalank charriyo gayo bhraatr maario |
Now Krishna has become my enemy and this is a blemish for me, but alongwith it my brother has also been killed
ਭੀਰ ਪਰੀ ਤੇ ਅਧੀਰ ਭਯੋ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਦੇਉ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਇਹੀ ਚਿਤਿ ਧਾਰਿਓ ॥੨੦੬੩॥
bheer paree te adheer bhayo duhitaa deo sayaam ihee chit dhaario |2063|
I have been entrapped in a difficult sitation, therefore now I should offer my daughter to Krishna.2063.

Calling the Brahmins, Satrajit made arrangements for marriage of his daughter according to the Vedic ceremonies
ਸਤਿ ਭਾਮਨਿ ਕੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਜਿਹ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਲੋਗਨ ਮੈ ਜਸੁ ਛਾਯੋ ॥
sat bhaaman ko kab sayaam bhanai jih ko sabh logan mai jas chhaayo |
The name of his daughter was Satyabhama, whose praise had been spread amongst all the people
ਪਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਉਪਮਾ ਲਛਮੀ ਕੀ ਨ ਤਾ ਸਮ ਯੌ ਕਹਿਬੋ ਬਨਿ ਆਯੋ ॥
paavat hai upamaa lachhamee kee na taa sam yau kahibo ban aayo |
Even Lakshmi was not like her
ਤਾਹੀ ਕੇ ਬ︀ਯਾਹਨ ਕਾਜ ਸੁ ਦੈ ਮਨਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਭਲੈ ਘਨਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥੨੦੬੪॥
taahee ke bayaahan kaaj su dai man maan bhalai ghan sayaam bulaayo |2064|
Krishna was invited with respect in order to wed her.2064.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਸੁਨੇ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਸੁਭ ਸਾਜਿ ਜਨੇਤ ਜਹਾ ਕੋ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥

Receiving this new, Krishna went with the marriage party towards her
ਆਵਤ ਸੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਆਗੇ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਮਿਲਿਬੇ ਕਉ ਧਾਏ ॥
aavat so sun kai prabh ko sabh aage hee te milibe kau dhaae |
Knowing about the impending arrival of the Lord, all the people reached to welcome him
ਆਦਰ ਸੰਗ ਲਵਾਇ ਕੈ ਜਾਇ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਕੀਯੋ ਦਿਜ ਦਾਨ ਦਿਵਾਏ ॥
aadar sang lavaae kai jaae bayaah keeyo dij daan divaae |
He was taken reverently for the nuptial ceremonies
ਐਸੇ ਬਿਵਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ਤ੍ਰੀਯਾ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਧਾਮਹਿ ਆਏ ॥੨੦੬੫॥
aise bivaah prabhoo sukh paae treeyaa sang lai kar dhaameh aae |2065|
The Brahmins were given the gifts, Krishna returned to his home happily after the marriage.2065.

ਤਉ ਹੀ ਲਉ ਐਸੋ ਸੁਨੀ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਲਛੀਆ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੈ ਸੁਤ ਪੰਡੁ ਕੇ ਆਏ ॥
tau hee lau aiso sunee bateeyaa lachheea grihi mai sut pandd ke aae |
Hearing all these things till that time, the Pandavas came to the House of Wax
ਗਾਇ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਭੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੌਰਨ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਕਰੁਨਾ ਨ ਬਸਾਏ ॥
gaae samet sabho mil kauaran chit bikhai karunaa na basaae |
They all requested the Kauravas together, but the Kaurvas did not have the slight element of mercy
ਐਸੇ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਓ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਸੁ ਤਹਾ ਕੋ ਚਲੈ ਸਭ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਬੁਲਾਏ ॥
aise bichaar keeo chit mai su tahaa ko chalai sabh bisan bulaae |
ਐਸੇ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਸੁ ਸਾਜ ਕੈ ਸ︀ਯੰਦਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਤਹਾ ਕੋ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥੨੦੬੬॥
aise bichaar su saaj kai sayandan sree brijanaath tahaa ko sidhaae |2066|
After great reflection, they called Krishna, who, after bedecking his chariot started for that place.2066.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਚਲੇ ਉਤ ਕਉ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਤੋ ਇਤ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
kaanrah chale ut kau jab hee baramaakrit to it mantr bichaariyo |
ਲੈ ਅਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਉ ਆਪਨੇ ਸੰਗ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਅਰੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਹ ਕਹੂੰ ਕਉ ਪਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
lai akraoor kau aapane sang kahiyo are kaanh kahoon kau padhaariyo |
When Krishna started going towards that place, then Kratvarma thought of something and taking Akrur with him, he asked him, “Where Krishna has gone?”
ਛੀਨ ਲੈ ਯਾ ਤੇ ਅਰੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਐਸੇ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
chheen lai yaa te are mil kai man aise bichaar keeyo tih maariyo |
Come, let us snatch away the jewel from Satrajit and thinking like this, they killed Satrajit
ਲੈ ਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਾ ਬਧ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਪਨੇ ਧਾਮ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੦੬੭॥
lai baramaakrit vaa badh kai man aapane dhaam kee or sidhaariyo |2067|
After killing him Kratvarma went to his home.2067.

When they killed Satrajit, Shatdhanva with them
ਏ ਤਿਹ ਬਧ ਕੈ ਡੇਰਨ ਆਏ ॥
e tih badh kai dderan aae |
ਉਤੈ ਸੰਦੇਸ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੨੦੬੮॥
autai sandes sayaam sun paae |2068|
On this side, all the three cam to their homes and on that side, Krishna came to know about it.2068.
ਦੂਤ ਬਾਚ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਸੋ ॥

The messenger said to the Lord, “Kratvarma has killed Satrajit
ਮਨਿ ਧਨ ਛੀਨਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੇ ਲਯੋ ॥
man dhan chheen taeh te layo |
ਤੋਹਿ ਤ੍ਰੀਆ ਕੋ ਅਤਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਦਯੋ ॥੨੦੬੯॥
tohi treea ko at dukh dayo |2069|
He has snatched away the jewel from him and in this way he has inflicted great suffering on your wife Satyabhama.”2069.
ਜਬ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
jab jadupat ih bidh sun paayo |
ਛੋਰਿ ਅਉਰ ਸਭ ਕਾਰਜ ਆਯੋ ॥
chhor aaur sabh kaaraj aayo |
When Krishna heard this, he came to their side, leaving all other engagements
ਹਰਿ ਆਵਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਬਰਮੈ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
har aavan kritabaramai jaanee |
ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾ ਸੋ ਬਾਤ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥੨੦੭੦॥

When Kratvarma learnt about the coming of Krishna, he said to Shatdhanva,2070

ਐ ਜੀ ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰੈ ਆਵੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਜਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਕਾਈ ॥
ai jee janam marai aavai fun jaavai bin gur gat nahee kaaee |
O Dear One, he is born, and then dies; he continues coming and going; without the Guru, he is not emancipated.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਾਮੇ ਗਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥
guramukh praanee naame raate naame gat pat paaee |1|
Those mortals who become Gurmukhs are attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord; through the Name, they obtain salvation and honor. ||1||
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈ ॥
bhaaee re raam naam chit laaee |
O Siblings of Destiny, focus your consciousness lovingly on the Lord's Name.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਚੇ ਐਸੀ ਨਾਮ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur parasaadee har prabh jaache aisee naam baddaaee |1| rahaau |
By Guru's Grace, one begs of the Lord God; such is the glorious greatness of the Naam. ||1||Pause||
ਐ ਜੀ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਭੇਖ ਕਰਹਿ ਭਿਖਿਆ ਕਉ ਕੇਤੇ ਉਦਰੁ ਭਰਨ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥
ai jee bahute bhekh kareh bhikhiaa kau kete udar bharan kai taaee |
O Dear One, so many wear various religious robes, for begging and filling their bellies.
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
bin har bhagat naahee sukh praanee bin gur garab na jaaee |2|
Without devotional worship to the Lord, O mortal, there can be no peace. Without the Guru, pride does not depart. ||2||
ਐ ਜੀ ਕਾਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਠਾਢੇ ਜਨਮਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਵੈਰਾਈ ॥
ai jee kaal sadaa sir aoopar tthaadte janam janam vairaaee |
O Dear One, death hangs constantly over his head. Incarnation after incarnation, it is his enemy.
ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਬਾਚੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੩॥
saachai sabad rate se baache satigur boojh bujhaaee |3|
Those who are attuned to the True Word of the Shabad are saved. The True Guru has imparted this understanding. ||3||
ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਜੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਦੂਤੁ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਸੰਤਾਈ ॥
gur saranaaee johi na saakai doot na sakai santaaee |
In the Guru's Sanctuary, the Messenger of Death cannot see the mortal, or torture him.
ਅਵਿਗਤ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੪॥
avigat naath niranjan raate nirbhau siau liv laaee |4|
I am imbued with the Imperishable and Immaculate Lord Master, and lovingly attached to the Fearless Lord. ||4||
ਐ ਜੀਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿੜਹੁ ਨਾਮੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਟੇਕ ਟਿਕਾਈ ॥
ai jeeo naam dirrahu naame liv laavahu satigur ttek ttikaaee |
O Dear One, implant the Naam within me; lovingly attached to the Naam, I lean on the True Guru's Support.
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਸੀ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਨ ਮੇਟਿਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੫॥
jo tis bhaavai soee karasee kirat na mettiaa jaaee |5|
Whatever pleases Him, He does; no one can erase His actions. ||5||
ਐ ਜੀ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੀ ਮੈ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਦੂਜੀ ਭਾਈ ॥
ai jee bhaag pare gur saran tumaaree mai avar na doojee bhaaee |
O Dear One, I have hurried to the Sanctuary of the Guru; I have no love for any other except You.
ਅਬ ਤਬ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਪੁਕਾਰਉ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੬॥
ab tab eko ek pukaarau aad jugaad sakhaaee |6|
I constantly call upon the One Lord; since the very beginning, and throughout the ages, He has been my help and support. ||6||
ਐ ਜੀ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਪੈਜ ਨਾਮ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
ai jee raakhahu paij naam apune kee tujh hee siau ban aaee |
O Dear One, please preserve the Honor of Your Name; I am hand and glove with You.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸੁ ਦਿਖਾਵਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਈ ॥੭॥
kar kirapaa gur daras dikhaavahu haumai sabad jalaaee |7|
Bless me with Your Mercy, and reveal to me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Guru. Through the Word of the Shabad, I have burnt away my ego. ||7||
ਐ ਜੀ ਕਿਆ ਮਾਗਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਇਸੁ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ਜਾਈ ॥
ai jee kiaa maagau kichh rahai na deesai is jag meh aaeaa jaaee |
O Dear One, what should I ask of You? Nothing appears permanent; whoever comes into this world shall depart.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕੰਠਿ ਬਣਾਈ ॥੮॥੩॥
naanak naam padaarath deejai hiradai kantth banaaee |8|3|
Bless Nanak with the wealth of the Naam, to adorn his heart and neck. ||8||3||

ai jee naa ham utam neech na madhim har saranaagat har ke log |
O Dear One, I am not high or low or in the middle. I am the Lord's slave, and I seek the Lord's Sanctuary.
ਨਾਮ ਰਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਸੋਗ ਬਿਜੋਗ ਬਿਸਰਜਿਤ ਰੋਗ ॥੧॥
naam rate keval bairaagee sog bijog bisarajit rog |1|
Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, I am detached from the world; I have forgotten sorrow, separation and disease. ||1||
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੀ ॥

O Siblings of Destiny, by Guru's Grace, I perform devotional worship to my Lord and Master.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਾਕਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾ ਜਮ ਕਾਣਿ ਨ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਬਾਕੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
satigur vaak hiradai har niramal naa jam kaan na jam kee baakee |1| rahaau |
One whose heart is filled with the Hymns of the True Guru, obtains the Pure Lord. He is not under the power of the Messenger of Death, nor does he owe Death anything. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਸਨ ਰਵਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੰਗੇ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਹਰੀ ॥
har gun rasan raveh prabh sange jo tis bhaavai sehaj haree |
He chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord with his tongue, and abides with God; he does whatever pleases the Lord.
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਜਗਿ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਮੇਕ ਘਰੀ ॥੨॥
bin har naam brithaa jag jeevan har bin nihafal mek gharee |2|
Without the Lord's Name, life passes in vain in the world, and every moment is useless. ||2||
ਐ ਜੀ ਖੋਟੇ ਠਉਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਕਾਈ ॥
ai jee khotte tthaur naahee ghar baahar nindak gat nahee kaaee |
The false have no place of rest, either inside or outside; the slanderer does not find salvation.
ਰੋਸੁ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਖਸ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈ ॥੩॥
ros karai prabh bakhas na mettai nit nit charrai savaaee |3|
Even if one is resentful, God does not withhold His blessings; day by day, they increase. ||3||
ਐ ਜੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੈ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਦਿਵਾਈ ॥
ai jee gur kee daat na mettai koee merai tthaakur aap divaaee |
No one can take away the Guru's gifts; my Lord and Master Himself has given them.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਨਰ ਕਾਲੇ ਮੁਖ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਜਿਨੑ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੪॥
nindak nar kaale mukh nindaa jina gur kee daat na bhaaee |4|
The black-faced slanderers, with slander in their mouths, do not appreciate the Guru's gifts. ||4||
ਐ ਜੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਬਿਲਮ ਨ ਅਧੂਆ ਰਾਈ ॥
ai jee saran pare prabh bakhas milaavai bilam na adhooaa raaee |
God forgives and blends with Himself those who take to His Sanctuary; He does not delay for an instant.
ਆਨਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਨਾਥੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਨਾਥਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੫॥
aanad mool naath sir naathaa satigur mel milaaee |5|
He is the source of bliss, the Greatest Lord; through the True Guru, we are united in His Union. ||5||
ਐ ਜੀ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਨਿ ਚੁਕਾਈ ॥
ai jee sadaa deaal deaa kar raviaa guramat bhraman chukaaee |
Through His Kindness, the Kind Lord pervades us; through Guru's Teachings, our wanderings cease.
ਪਾਰਸੁ ਭੇਟਿ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਧਾਤੁ ਹੋਈ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੬॥
paaras bhett kanchan dhaat hoee satasangat kee vaddiaaee |6|
Touching the philosopher's stone, metal is transformed into gold. Such is the glorious greatness of the Society of the Saints. ||6||
ਹਰਿ ਜਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮਨੁ ਇਸਨਾਨੀ ਮਜਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
har jal niramal man isanaanee majan satigur bhaaee |
The Lord is the immaculate water; the mind is the bather, and the True Guru is the bath attendant, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਨ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੭॥
punarap janam naahee jan sangat jotee jot milaaee |7|
That humble being who joins the Sat Sangat shall not be consigned to reincarnation again; his light merges into the Light. ||7||
ਤੂੰ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਗੰਮ ਤਰੋਵਰੁ ਹਮ ਪੰਖੀ ਤੁਝ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
toon vadd purakh agam tarovar ham pankhee tujh maahee |
You are the Great Primal Lord, the infinite tree of life; I am a bird perched on Your branches.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹੀ ॥੮॥੪॥
naanak naam niranjan deejai jug jug sabad salaahee |8|4|
Grant to Nanak the Immaculate Naam; throughout the ages, he sings the Praises of the Shabad. ||8||4||
