ਜਾਮਵਾਨ ਬਧਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋ ਮਨਿ ਲੈ ਮਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
jaamavaan badh singh ko man lai man sukh paae |
ਜਹਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਆਪਨ ਹੁਤੋ ਤਹ ਹੀ ਪਹੁਚਿਯੋ ਆਇ ॥੨੦੪੩॥
jahaa grihi aapan huto teh hee pahuchiyo aae |2043|
Jamwant, the after killing the lion, returned to his home with a happy mind and went to sleep.2043.
ਸਤ੍ਰਾਜਿਤ ਲਖਿ ਭੇਦ ਨਹਿ ਸਭਨਨ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥
satraajit lakh bhed neh sabhanan kahiyo sunaae |
ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਮਾਰਿ ਮੁਹਿ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਕਉ ਲੀਨੀ ਮਨਿ ਛੁਟਕਾਇ ॥੨੦੪੪॥
krisan maar muhi bhraat kau leenee man chhuttakaae |2044|
On this side, Satrajit, thinking about the mystery, said within the hearing of everyone, “Krishna has snatched away the jewel after killing my brother.”2044.

ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਚਰਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੂ ਆਪਨੇ ਢਿਗ ਜਾ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਸੁ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
yau sun kai charachaa prabh joo aapane dtig jaa tih ko su bulaayo |
Hearing this discussion, the Lord called him
ਸਤ੍ਰਾਜੀਤ ਕਹੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਹਨਿਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਮਨਿ ਹੇਤੁ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
satraajeet kahai muhi bhraat haniyo har joo man het sunaayo |
Satrajit said again, “Krishna has killed my brother for the sake of the jewel,”
ਐਸੇ ਕੁਬੋਲ ਸੁਨੇ ਮਨੂਆ ਹਮਰੋ ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਾਯੋ ॥
aise kubol sune manooaa hamaro at krodheh ke sang taayo |
Hearing these words, the mind of Krishna was filled with rage
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਚਲੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੂੰ ਤਿਹ ਸੋਧ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਹੂੰ ਚਲੋ ਕਹਿ ਖੋਜਨ ਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੦੪੫॥
taa te chalo tum hoon tih sodh kau hau hoon chalo keh khojan dhaayo |2045|
He said, “you should also accompany me for searching you brother.”2045.
ਜਾਦਵ ਲੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਜਬੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਖੋਜਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥
jaadav lai brijanaath jabai apane sang khojan taeh sidhaare |
ਅਸ੍ਵਪਤੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਰੇ ਸੁ ਤਹੀ ਏ ਗਏ ਦੋਊ ਜਾਇ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
asvapatee bin praan pare su tahee e ge doaoo jaae nihaare |
Krishna, taking the Yadavas with him, went in search of the brother of Satrajit and reached there where Ashvapati was lying dead
ਕੇਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਤਹ ਖੋਜ ਪਿਖਿਯੋ ਇਹ ਵਾ ਹੀ ਹਨੇ ਭਟ ਐਸੇ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ॥
kehar ko teh khoj pikhiyo ih vaa hee hane bhatt aise pukaare |
The people looked for the lion here and there and imagined that he had been killed by the lion
ਆਗੇ ਜੌ ਜਾਹਿ ਤੋ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਿਖਿਯੋ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਉਕਿ ਪਰੇ ਸਭ ਪਉਰਖ ਵਾਰੇ ॥੨੦੪੬॥
aage jau jaeh to singh pikhiyo mrit chauk pare sabh paurakh vaare |2046|
When they advanced further a little, they saw the dead lion, seeing him, all of them were wonder-struck and got agitated.2046.

ਤਹ ਭਾਲਕ ਕੇ ਖੋਜ ਕਉ ਚਿਤੈ ਰਹੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਾਇ ॥

ਜਹਾ ਖੋਜ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਤ ਪਗ ਤਹਾ ਜਾਤ ਭਟ ਧਾਇ ॥੨੦੪੭॥
jahaa khoj tih jaat pag tahaa jaat bhatt dhaae |2047|
All of them went with bowed heads in search of the bear and wherever they found the footprints of the bear, they continued to move in that direction.2047.

ਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਬਰੁ ਦਾਨਿ ਦਏ ਅਸੁਰਾਰਿ ਜਿਤੇ ਸਭ ਦਾਨਵ ਭਾਗੇ ॥
jaa prabh ke bar daan de asuraar jite sabh daanav bhaage |
The Lord, whose boon resulted in the victory over the demons, who had all run away
ਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਨਾਸ ਕਯੋ ਸਸਿ ਸੂਰ ਥਪੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਕਾਰਜ ਲਾਗੇ ॥
jaa prabh satran naas kayo sas soor thape fir kaaraj laage |
The Lord who destroyed the enemies and Surya and Chandra began to perform their duties
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਜਾਹਿ ਕਰੀ ਕੁਬਿਜਾ ਛਿਨ ਬੀਚ ਸੁਗੰਧਿ ਲਗਾਵਤ ਬਾਗੇ ॥
sundar jaeh karee kubijaa chhin beech sugandh lagaavat baage |
He, who made Kubja, a most beautiful woman in an instant and incensed the atmosphere
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਹੇਤੁ ਸੁ ਜਾਤ ਹੈ ਰੀਛ ਕੇ ਖੋਜਹਿ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੨੦੪੮॥
so prabh apane kaaraj het su jaat hai reechh ke khojeh laage |2048|
The same Lord is going in search of the bear for his task.2048.
ਖੋਜ ਲੀਏ ਸਭ ਏਕੁ ਗੁਫਾ ਹੂ ਪੈ ਜਾਤ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਐਸੇ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
khoj lee sabh ek gufaa hoo pai jaat bhe har aise uchaariyo |
All of them discovered him in a cave, then Krishna said, “Is there any powerful person who can enter this cave
ਹੈ ਕੋਊ ਸੂਰ ਧਸੈ ਇਹ ਬੀਚ ਨ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਪੁਰਖਤ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
hai koaoo soor dhasai ih beech na kaahoon balee purakhat sanbhaariyo |
” But none of them gave a reply in the affirmative
ਯਾ ਹੀ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਧਸਿਯੋ ਸੋਈ ਰੀਛ ਸਭੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
yaa hee ke beech dhasiyo soee reechh sabho man mai ih bhaat bichaariyo |
Everyone thought that the bear was in the same cave, but still some of them said that he had not entered it
ਕੋਊ ਕਹੈ ਨਹਿ ਯਾ ਮੈ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਰੇ ਹਮ ਖੋਜ ਇਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੦੪੯॥
koaoo kahai neh yaa mai kahiyo har re ham khoj ihee meh ddaariyo |2049|
Krishna said that the bear was in that cave.2049.
ਕੋਊ ਨ ਬੀਰ ਗੁਫਾ ਮੈ ਧਸਿਯੋ ਤਬ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਮੈ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਗਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
koaoo na beer gufaa mai dhasiyo tab aap hee taeh mai sayaam gayo hai |
When none of the present heroes went into the cave, Krishna himself went therein
ਭਾਲਕ ਲੈ ਸੁਧਿ ਬੀਚ ਗੁਫਾਹੂੰ ਕੈ ਜੁਧੁ ਕੋ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਕੋਪ ਅਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
bhaalak lai sudh beech gufaahoon kai judh ko saamuhe kop ayo hai |
The bear also imagined the arrival of somebody and in great fury, rushed forward for fighting
ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਉਹ ਸੋ ਦਿਨ ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਬਾਹਨ ਜੁਧੁ ਕਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
sayaam joo sayaam bhanai uh so din dvaadas baahan judh kayo hai |
ਜੁਧੁ ਇਤ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰਨਿ ਮੈ ਨਹਿ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹੈ ਕਬੈ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਭਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੨੦੫੦॥
judh it jug chaaran mai neh hvai hai kabai kabahoon na bhayo hai |2050|
The poet says that Krishna waged such a battle with him for twelve days, which has not been fought earlier and will not be fought afterwards in the four ages.2050.
ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਦਿਉਸ ਭਿਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਰੈਨ ਨਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਡਰਾਨੋ ॥
dvaadas diaus bhire din rain nahee tih te har naik ddaraano |
For twelve days and nights, Krishna continued fighting and did not feel afraid, even slightly
ਲਾਤਨ ਮੂਕਨ ਕੋ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਫੁਨਿ ਤਉਨ ਗੁਫਾ ਮਹਿ ਜੁਧੁ ਮਚਾਨੋ ॥
laatan mookan ko at hee fun taun gufaa meh judh machaano |
There was dreadful battle with legs and fist,
ਪਉਰਖ ਭਾਲਕ ਕੋ ਘਟਿ ਗਯੋ ਇਹ ਮੈ ਬਹੁ ਪਉਰਖ ਤਾ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੋ ॥
paurakh bhaalak ko ghatt gayo ih mai bahu paurakh taa pahichaano |
Feeling the strength of Krishna, the power of the bear declined
ਜੁਧੁ ਕੋ ਛਾਡ ਕੈ ਪਾਇ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੋ ਰਾਮ ਸਹੀ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨੋ ॥੨੦੫੧॥
judh ko chhaadd kai paae pariyo jadubeer ko raam sahee kar jaano |2051|
He abandoned th fighting and considering Krishna as the Lord, he fell down at his feet.2051.
ਪਾਇ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਘਿਘਿਆਨੋ ਘਨੋ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਅਤਿ ਦੀਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਯਾ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਾਖੀ ॥
paae pariyo ghighiaano ghano bateeyaa at deen hvai yaa bidh bhaakhee |
ਹੋ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਵਨ ਕੇ ਮਰੀਆ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਪੁਨਿ ਲਾਜ ਦਰੋਪਤੀ ਰਾਖੀ ॥
ho tum raavan ke mareea tum hee pun laaj daropatee raakhee |
He beseeched earnestly on falling at his feet and said with utter humility, “You are the killer of Ravana and the saviour of the honour of Draupadi
ਭੂਲ ਭਈ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੂ ਸੁ ਛਿਮਾ ਕਰੀਯੈ ਸਿਵ ਸੂਰਜ ਸਾਖੀ ॥
bhool bhee ham te prabh joo su chhimaa kareeyai siv sooraj saakhee |
“O Lord! considering Surya and Chandra as my witnesses, I request for the forgiveness of my fault
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਜੁ ਹੁਤੀ ਸੋਊ ਲੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕੇ ਅਗ੍ਰਜ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੨੦੫੨॥
yau keh kai duhitaa ju hutee soaoo lai brijanaath ke agraj raakhee |2052|
” Saying this, he presented before Krishna his daughter as an offering.2052.
ਉਤ ਜੁਧ ਕੈ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਕਯੋ ਇਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ਨਿਰਾਸ ਏ ਧਾਮਨ ਆਏ ॥
aut judh kai sayaam joo bayaah kayo it hvai kai niraas e dhaaman aae |
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਗੁਫਾ ਹੂੰ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਧਸੇ ਸੋਊ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਹਨੇ ਸੁ ਇਹੀ ਠਹਰਾਏ ॥
kaanrah gufaa hoon ke beech dhase soaoo kaahoon hane su ihee tthaharaae |
On that side Krishna married after fighting and on this side, his companions standing outside came back to their homes, they believed that Krishna who had gone in the cave had been killed by the bear
ਨੀਰ ਢਰੈ ਭਟਵਾਨ ਕੀ ਆਂਖਿਨ ਲੋਟਤ ਹੈ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
neer dtarai bhattavaan kee aankhin lottat hai chit mai dukh paae |
The water flowed from the eyes of the warriors and they began to roll on the earth in affliction
ਸੀਸ ਧੁਨੈ ਇਕ ਐਸੇ ਕਹੈ ਹਮ ਹੂੰ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਨ ਆਏ ॥੨੦੫੩॥
sees dhunai ik aise kahai ham hoon jadubeer ke kaam na aae |2053|
Several of them repented that they had not been of any use to Krishna.2053.
ਸੈਨ ਜਿਤੋ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਗਯੋ ਸੋਊ ਭੂਪ ਪੈ ਰੋਵਤ ਆਯੋ ॥
sain jito jadubeer ke sang gayo soaoo bhoop pai rovat aayo |
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਦੇਖ ਦਸਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhoopat dekh dasaa tin kee at hee apune man mai dukh paayo |
The army accompanying Krishna came back to the king and wept, seeing which the king became extremely sorrowful
ਧਾਇ ਗਯੋ ਬਲਿਭਦ੍ਰ ਪੈ ਪੂਛਨ ਰੋਇ ਇਹੀ ਤਿਨ ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
dhaae gayo balibhadr pai poochhan roe ihee tin bain sunaayo |
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਗੁਫਾ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਧਸਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਰੇ ਨਹੀ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਆਯੋ ॥੨੦੫੪॥
kaanrah gufaa ke bikhai dhas kai tih te bahure nahee baahar aayo |2054|
He ran towards Balram to consult him, but he also told the same thing that Krishna went into the cave, bud did not turn back.2054.

ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਬਹੁ ਸਘਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਹਾ ਦੀਰਘ ਰੋਗੁ ॥
ahanbudh bahu saghan maaeaa mahaa deeragh rog |
Intellectual egotism and great love for Maya are the most serious chronic diseases.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਜੋਗੁ ॥੧॥
har naam aaukhadh gur naam deeno karan kaaran jog |1|
The Lord's Name is the medicine, which is potent to cure everything. The Guru has given me the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਾਛੀਐ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
man tan baachheeai jan dhoor |
My mind and body yearn for the dust of the Lord's humble servants.
ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਲਹਹਿ ਪਾਤਿਕ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਲੋਚਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kott janam ke laheh paatik gobind lochaa poor |1| rahaau |
With it, the sins of millions of incarnations are obliterated. O Lord of the Universe, please fulfill my desire. ||1||Pause||
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤੇ ਮਧਿ ਆਸਾ ਕੂਕਰੀ ਬਿਕਰਾਲ ॥
aad ante madh aasaa kookaree bikaraal |
In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, one is hounded by dreadful desires.
ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਮਣੰ ਕਾਟੀਐ ਜਮ ਜਾਲ ॥੨॥
gur giaan keeratan gobind ramanan kaatteeai jam jaal |2|
Through the Guru's spiritual wisdom, we sing the Kirtan of the Praises of the Lord of the Universe, and the noose of death is cut away. ||2||
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਮੂਠੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਵਾ ਗਵਣ ॥
kaam krodh lobh moh mootthe sadaa aavaa gavan |
Those who are cheated by sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment suffer reincarnation forever.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਮਿਟਤ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਵਣ ॥੩॥
prabh prem bhagat gupaal simaran mittat jonee bhavan |3|
By loving devotional worship to God, and meditative remembrance of the Lord of the World, one's wandering in reincarnation is ended. ||3||
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਰ ਰਿਦ ਤੀਨਿ ਤਾਪ ਜਲੰਤ ॥
mitr putr kalatr sur rid teen taap jalant |
Friends, children, spouses and well-wishers are burnt by the three fevers.
ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮਾ ਦੁਖ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੰਤ ॥੪॥
jap raam raamaa dukh nivaare milai har jan sant |4|
Chanting the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, one's miseries are ended, as one meets the Saintly servants of the Lord. ||4||
ਸਰਬ ਬਿਧਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੇ ਪੁਕਾਰਹਿ ਕਤਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਛੋਟਿ ॥
sarab bidh bhramate pukaareh kateh naahee chhott |
Wandering around in all directions, they cry out, "Nothing can save us!"
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਸਰਣ ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੁ ਗਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਓਟ ॥੫॥੪॥੩੦॥

Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of the Lotus Feet of the Infinite Lord; he holds fast to their Support. ||5||4||30||

Uttering His Praises, and hearing of His infinite glory, you shall never suffer separation from Him again. ||1||

ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟੰਤ ਸਿਮਰਣਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਜਮਦੂਤ ਫਾਸ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kal kales mittant simaran kaatt jamadoot faas |1| rahaau |
Meditating in remembrance, strife and sorrow are ended, and the noose of the Messenger of Death is snapped. ||1||Pause||
ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਦਹਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਨ ਅਵਰ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਉਪਾਉ ॥
satru dehan har naam kehan avar kachh na upaau |
Chant the Name of the Lord, and your enemies shall be consumed; there is no other way.
ਕਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੧॥
kar anugrahu prabhoo mere naanak naam suaau |2|1|31|
Show Mercy, O my God, and bestow upon Nanak the taste of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||1||31||

You are the Almighty Lord, the Giver of Sanctuary, the Destroyer of pain, the King of happiness.
ਜਾਹਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟੇ ਭੈ ਭਰਮਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗਾਇ ॥੧॥
jaeh kales mitte bhai bharamaa niramal gun prabh gaae |1|
Troubles depart, and fear and doubt are dispelled, singing the Glorious Praises of the Immaculate Lord God. ||1||
ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥
govind tujh bin avar na tthaau |
O Lord of the Universe, without You, there is no other place.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਪੀ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kar kirapaa paarabraham suaamee japee tumaaraa naau | rahaau |
Show Mercy to me, O Supreme Lord Master, that I may chant Your Name. ||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਿ ਲਗੇ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨੀ ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
satigur sev lage har charanee vaddai bhaag liv laagee |
Serving the True Guru, I am attached to the Lord's Lotus Feet; by great good fortune, I have embraced love for Him.
ਕਵਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ਭਏ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥੨॥
kaval pragaas bhe saadhasange duramat budh tiaagee |2|
My heart lotus blossoms forth in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; I have renounced evil-mindedness and intellectualism. ||2||
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਦੀਨ ਦੈਆਲਾ ॥
aatth pehar har ke gun gaavai simarai deen daiaalaa |
One who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, twenty-four hours a day, and remembers the Lord in meditation, who is Kind to the poor,
ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਭ ਉਧਰੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਗਲ ਜੰਜਾਲਾ ॥੩॥
aap tarai sangat sabh udharai binase sagal janjaalaa |3|
saves himself, and redeems all his generations; all of his bonds are released. ||3||
ਚਰਣ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਥਿ ॥
charan adhaar teraa prabh suaamee ot pot prabh saath |
I take the Support of Your Feet, O God, O Lord and Master; you are with me through and through, God.
ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਹਾਥ ॥੪॥੨॥੩੨॥
saran pario naanak prabh tumaree de raakhio har haath |4|2|32|
Nanak has entered Your Sanctuary, God; giving him His hand, the Lord has protected him. ||4||2||32||
