ਬੇਖੁ ਕੀਓ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਮਨ ਕੋ ਬਲਿ ਬਾਵਨ ਜਿਉ ਛਲਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਆਯੋ ॥
bekh keeo har baaman ko bal baavan jiau chhalabe kahu aayo |
ਰੇ ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨ ਤੂ ਬਸਿ ਕਾਨਨ ਕਾ ਕੇ ਕਹੇ ਤਪਿਸਾ ਤਜ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
re chaturaanan too bas kaanan kaa ke kahe tapisaa taj dhaayo |
“O Krishna (Vishnu)! you have put on the garb of a Brahmin and have come to deceive me like the king Bali
ਧੂਮ ਤੇ ਆਗ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਦੁਰੀ ਜਿਮ ਤਿਉ ਛਲ ਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਕੇ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
dhoom te aag rahai na duree jim tiau chhal te tum ke lakh paayo |
“Just as the fire cannot be concealed by smoke, in the same manner, seeing you, I have understood your act of deceit
ਮਾਗਹੁ ਜੋ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਅਬ ਮਾਗਨਹਾਰੇ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥੧੫੫੪॥
maagahu jo tumare man mai ab maaganahaare ko roop banaayo |1554|
When you people have come in the garb of a beggar, then beg from me according to you heart’s desire.1554.

DOHRA
ਜਬ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਕਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜਸ ਲੇਹੁ ॥
jab ih bidh so nrip kahiyo kahee braham jas lehu |
ਜਗ ਅਨਲ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੁਕਟਿ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਸੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਦੇਹੁ ॥੧੫੫੫॥
jag anal te jo mukatt upajio so muhi dehu |1555|
When the king said like this to Brahma, then Brahma said, “O king! Become praiseworthy and give me the crown that had come out of the fire of Yajna.”1555.
ਜਬ ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨਿ ਯੌ ਕਹੀ ਪੁਨਿ ਬੋਲਿਓ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ॥
jab chaturaanan yau kahee pun bolio jadubeer |
ਗਉਰਾ ਤੇਤਾ ਤੁਹਿ ਦਯੋ ਸੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਦੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਧੀਰ ॥੧੫੫੬॥
gauraa tetaa tuhi dayo so muhi de nrip dheer |1556|
When Brahma had begged it, then Krishna spoke, “Give me the amulet that had been given to you by the goddess Chandi.”1556.

ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਹੈ ॥
tab nrip man ko ih bidh kahai |
ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੀਯਤ ਨ ਚਹੁੰ ਜੁਗ ਰਹੈ ॥
re jeea jeeyat na chahun jug rahai |
Then the king thought in his mind that he had not to live for four ages, therefore he should not delay in this task of Dharma and
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸੁ ਧਰਮ ਢੀਲ ਨਹਿ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
taa te su dharam dteel neh keejai |
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਗਤ ਸੋ ਇਹ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੧੫੫੭॥
jo har maagat so ih deejai |1557|
The things that Brhma and Krishna are begging, he should give them.1557.

ਕਿਉ ਤਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਿ ਸੰਕ ਕਰੈ ਥਿਰ ਤੋ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਅਬ ਤੂ ਨ ਰਹੈ ਹੈ ॥
kiau tan kee man sank karai thir to jag mai ab too na rahai hai |
‘O mind! why are you in doubt about the body, you have not to remain stable in the world for ever
ਯਾ ਤੇ ਭਲੋ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਇਹ ਤੇ ਜਸੁ ਲੈ ਰਨ ਅੰਤਹਿ ਮੋ ਤਜਿ ਜੈ ਹੈ ॥
yaa te bhalo na kachhoo ih te jas lai ran anteh mo taj jai hai |
What more virtuous act you can perform? Therefore do this praiseworthy task in the war, because ultimately once, the body is to be abandoned
ਰੇ ਮਨ ਢੀਲ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਗਹਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਤੇ ਅਉਸਰ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ ਪਛੁਤੈ ਹੈ ॥
re man dteel rahiyo geh kaahe te aausar beet ge pachhutai hai |
‘O mind! do not delay, because you will avail nothing except repentance, when the opportunity is lost
ਸੋਕ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਨਿਸੰਕ ਹੁਇ ਦੈ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸੋ ਭਿਛਕ ਹਾਥਿ ਨ ਐ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੫੮॥
sok nivaar nisank hue dai bhagavaan so bhichhak haath na ai hai |1558|
Therefore forsaking anxiety, give away the begged articles without any hesitation, because you will never again get such beggar like the Lord himself .
ਮਾਗਤ ਜੋ ਬਿਧਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਅਰੇ ਮਨ ਸੋ ਤਜਿ ਸੰਕ ਨਿਸੰਕ ਹੁਇ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
maagat jo bidh sayaam are man so taj sank nisank hue deejai |
‘Whatever Krishna is asking for, O my mind! give it without any hesitation
ਜਾਚਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਤੇ ਸਗਰੋ ਜਗ ਸੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਮਾਗਤ ਢੀਲ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
jaachat hai jih te sagaro jag so tuhi maagat dteel na keejai |
He, from whom all the world begs, he is standing before you as a beggar, therefore do not delay further
ਅਉਰ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਅਬ ਯਾ ਮਹਿ ਤੋ ਨ ਰਤੀ ਸੁਖ ਛੀਜੈ ॥
aaur bichaar karo na kachhoo ab yaa meh to na ratee sukh chheejai |
‘Leave all other ideas, there will remain no shortage in your comfort
ਦਾਨਨ ਦੇਤ ਨ ਮਾਨ ਕਰੋ ਬਸੁ ਦੈ ਅਸੁ ਦੈ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਜਸੁ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੧੫੫੯॥
daanan det na maan karo bas dai as dai jag mai jas leejai |1559|
On giving charity, one should not be proud and thoughtful: therefore get the profit of approbation after surrendering everything.”1559.
ਬਾਮਨ ਬੇਖ ਕੈ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਜੁ ਚਾਹਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਤਿਹ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
baaman bekh kai sayaam ju chaahat sree har ko tih bhoopat deeno |
Whatever Krishna had begged in the garb of a Brahmin, the king have the same to him
ਜੋ ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨ ਕੇ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਕਬਿ ਰਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਵਹੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
jo chaturaanan ke chit mai kab raam kahai su vahai nrip keeno |
Alongwith this, whatever was in the mind of Brahma the king also did that
ਜੋ ਵਹ ਮਾਗਤਿ ਸੋਊ ਦਯੋ ਤਬ ਦੇਤ ਸਮੈ ਰਸ ਮੈ ਮਨ ਭੀਨੋ ॥
jo veh maagat soaoo dayo tab det samai ras mai man bheeno |
Whatever they had asked for, the king handed it over affectionately
ਦਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਕਨ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਜਸੁ ਲੀਨੋ ॥੧੫੬੦॥
daan kripaan duhoon bidh kai tihu lokan mai at hee jas leeno |1560|
In this way with charity and with sword, in the bravery of both kinds, the king earned great praise.1560.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਰੀਟ ਤਵੀਤ ਲਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਜਿ ਉਠੇ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਸਬ ਸੂਰੇ ॥
braham kareett taveet layo har gaaj utthe tab hee sab soore |
Brahma took away the crown and Krishna the amulet, then all the warriors roared and
ਧਾਇ ਪਰੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਚਿਤਿ ਮੈ ਚਪਿ ਰੋਸਿ ਕੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਰੂਰੈ ॥
dhaae pare nrip pai mil kai chit mai chap ros kai maar maroorai |
Getting extremely enraged in their mind they fell upon the king
ਭੂਪਿ ਹਨੇ ਬਰ ਬੀਰ ਘਨੇ ਸੁ ਪਰੇ ਧਰਿ ਊਪਰਿ ਲਾਗਤਿ ਰੂਰੇ ॥
bhoop hane bar beer ghane su pare dhar aoopar laagat roore |
The king had destroyed many warriors and they were looking so elegant,
ਛਾਰ ਲਗਾਇ ਕੈ ਅੰਗ ਮਲੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਮਨੋ ਸੋਇ ਕੈ ਖਾਇ ਧਤੂਰੇ ॥੧੫੬੧॥
chhaar lagaae kai ang malang rahe mano soe kai khaae dhatoore |1561|
While lying on the earth as if the hermits were sleeping on the earth, after smearing their bodies with ashes and eating thorn-apples.1561.
ਹੇਰਿ ਸਬੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਘੇਰਿ ਲਯੋ ਸੁ ਭਯੋ ਮਨ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੋਪਮਈ ਹੈ ॥
her sabai mil gher layo su bhayo man bhoopat kopamee hai |
After searching for the king, all besieged him, who became extremely angry.
ਰਾਮ ਅਯੋਧਨ ਮੈ ਫਿਰ ਕੈ ਕਰਰੀ ਕਰ ਬੀਚ ਕਮਾਨ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥
raam ayodhan mai fir kai kararee kar beech kamaan lee hai |
He, moving in the battlefield, caught hold of a firm bow in his hand,
ਸੂਰਜ ਕੀ ਸਸਿ ਕੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਹੁ ਸੈਨ ਗਿਰਾਇ ਦਈ ਹੈ ॥
sooraj kee sas kee jam kee har kee bahu sain giraae dee hai |
And knocked down the forces of Surya, Chandra and
ਮਾਨਹੁ ਫਾਗੁਨ ਮਾਸ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰ ਪਉਨ ਬਹਿਓ ਪਤ ਝਾਰ ਭਈ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੬੨॥
maanahu faagun maas ke bheetar paun bahio pat jhaar bhee hai |1562|
Yama like the leaves falling on the ground by the blowing wind in the season of Phagun.1562.
ਪਾਨਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਬਡੋ ਧਨੁ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਲਿਲਾਟ ਮੈ ਬਾਨੁ ਲਗਾਯੋ ॥
paan sanbhaar baddo dhan bhoopat rudr lilaatt mai baan lagaayo |
Taking a large bow in his hand, the king inflicted an arrow in the forehead of Rudra
ਏਕ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਰ ਲਾਗਤਿ ਡਾਰਿ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਪਰਾਯੋ ॥
ek kuber ke maario ridai sar laagat ddaar hathiaar paraayo |
He shot one arrow in the heart of Kuber, who ran away from the field, throwing away his weapons
ਦੇਖਿ ਜਲਾਧਿਪ ਤਾਹਿ ਦਸਾ ਰਨ ਛਾਡਿ ਭਜਿਯੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਡਰ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
dekh jalaadhip taeh dasaa ran chhaadd bhajiyo man mai ddar paayo |
ਧਾਇ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਜਮੁ ਯਾ ਪਰ ਸੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰਾਯੋ ॥੧੫੬੩॥
dhaae pariyo ris kai jam yaa par so nrip baan so bhoom giraayo |1563|
Varuna, seeing their plight, became fearful and fled away, on this, Yama in fury fell upon the king, who knocked him down on the ground with this arrow.1563.
ਯੌ ਜਮਰਾਜ ਗਿਰਾਇ ਦਯੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਦਲ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
yau jamaraaj giraae dayo tab hee ris kai har ko dal dhaayo |
ਆਏ ਹੈ ਕੋਪ ਭਰੈ ਪਟ ਦੁਇ ਬਿਬਿਧਾਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਤਿਨ ਜੁਧੁ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥
aae hai kop bharai patt due bibidhaayudh lai tin judh machaayo |
When Yama was knocked down, then the army of Krishna ran forward, in ire, and two of its warriors began a dreadful war, taking up various types of arms
ਸਿੰਘ ਹੁਤੋ ਬਲਵੰਡ ਸੋ ਜਾਦਵ ਸੋ ਰਿਸ ਸੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮਾਰਿ ਗਿਰਾਯੋ ॥
singh huto balavandd so jaadav so ris so nrip maar giraayo |
The Yadava warriors were very brave, the king, in his anger, killed them
ਬਾਹੁ ਬਲੀ ਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੰਧੁ ਸੋਊ ਰਨ ਤੇ ਜਮਲੋਕਿ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥੧੫੬੪॥
baahu balee baramaakrit bandh soaoo ran te jamalok patthaayo |1564|
And in this way, both the brothers, Bahubali and Vikramakrat were despatched to the abode of Yama.1564.
ਅਉਰ ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੁਤੋ ਸੰਗ ਤੇ ਜਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿ ਲਯੋ ॥
aaur mahaabalee singh huto sang te jas singh ko maar layo |
Mahabali Singh and Tej Singh, who were with them, they were also killed by the kinhg
ਪੁਨਿ ਬੀਰ ਮਹਾ ਜਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੁਤੋ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਇਹ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਆਇ ਗਯੋ ॥
pun beer mahaa jas singh huto ris kai ih saamuhe aae gayo |
Then Mahajas Singh, another warrior, getting enraged, came in front of the king,
ਸੋਊ ਖਗ ਸੰਭਾਰ ਕੈ ਕੋਪ ਭਰੇ ਤਿਹ ਕੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨੈ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਲਯੋ ॥
soaoo khag sanbhaar kai kop bhare tih kau nrip nai lalakaar layo |
Who challenged him, holding out his dagger
ਕੀਯੋ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਕੋ ਅੰਤ ਕੇ ਧਾਮਿ ਪਠਾਇ ਦਯੋ ॥੧੫੬੫॥
keeyo ek hee baar prahaar kripaan ko ant ke dhaam patthaae dayo |1565|
With only one stroke of the dagger, he went to the abode of Yama.1565.
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਅਨਦੋ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ ਮੈ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਡੀਠਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
anado anad ghanaa mai so prabh ddeetthaa raam |
Joy - great joy! I have seen the Lord God!
ਚਾਖਿਅੜਾ ਚਾਖਿਅੜਾ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
chaakhiarraa chaakhiarraa mai har ras meetthaa raam |
Tasted - I have tasted the sweet essence of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਤੂਠਾ ਸਹਜੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
har ras meetthaa man meh vootthaa satigur tootthaa sehaj bheaa |
The sweet essence of the Lord has rained down in my mind; by the pleasure of the True Guru, I have attained peaceful ease.
ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਵਸਿ ਆਇਆ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਪੰਚ ਦੁਸਟ ਓਇ ਭਾਗਿ ਗਇਆ ॥
grihu vas aaeaa mangal gaaeaa panch dusatt oe bhaag geaa |
I have come to dwell in the home of my own self, and I sing the songs of joy; the five villains have fled.
ਸੀਤਲ ਆਘਾਣੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੇ ਸਾਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਬਸੀਠਾ ॥
seetal aaghaane amrit baane saajan sant baseetthaa |
I am soothed and satisfied with the Ambrosial Bani of His Word; the friendly Saint is my advocate.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੈਣੀ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੧॥
kahu naanak har siau man maaniaa so prabh nainee ddeetthaa |1|
Says Nanak, my mind is in harmony with the Lord; I have seen God with my eyes. ||1||
ਸੋਹਿਅੜੇ ਸੋਹਿਅੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਕ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
sohiarre sohiarre mere bank duaare raam |
Adorned - adorned are my beauteous gates, O Lord.
ਪਾਹੁਨੜੇ ਪਾਹੁਨੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
paahunarre paahunarre mere sant piaare raam |
Guests - my guests are the Beloved Saints, O Lord.
ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਿ ਲਗੇ ਸੇਵਾ ॥
sant piaare kaaraj saare namasakaar kar lage sevaa |
The Beloved Saints have resolved my affairs; I humbly bowed to them, and committed myself to their service.
ਆਪੇ ਜਾਞੀ ਆਪੇ ਮਾਞੀ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਿ ਦੇਵਾ ॥
aape jaayee aape maayee aap suaamee aap devaa |
He Himself is the groom's party, and He Himself the bride's party; He Himself is the Lord and Master; He Himself is the Divine Lord.
ਅਪਣਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਆਪੇ ਧਾਰਨ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
apanaa kaaraj aap savaare aape dhaaran dhaare |
He Himself resolves His own affairs; He Himself sustains the Universe.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹੁ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੋਹੇ ਬੰਕ ਦੁਆਰੇ ॥੨॥
kahu naanak sahu ghar meh baitthaa sohe bank duaare |2|
Says Nanak, my Bridegroom is sitting in my home; the gates of my body are beautifully adorned. ||2||
ਨਵ ਨਿਧੇ ਨਉ ਨਿਧੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਆਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
nav nidhe nau nidhe mere ghar meh aaee raam |
The nine treasures - the nine treasures come into my home, Lord.
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
sabh kichh mai sabh kichh paaeaa naam dhiaaee raam |
Everything - I obtain everything, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਸਦਾ ਸਖਾਈ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਈ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ॥
naam dhiaaee sadaa sakhaaee sehaj subhaaee govindaa |
Meditating on the Naam, the Lord of the Universe becomes one's eternal companion, and he dwells in peaceful ease.
ਗਣਤ ਮਿਟਾਈ ਚੂਕੀ ਧਾਈ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਾ ॥
ganat mittaaee chookee dhaaee kade na viaapai man chindaa |
His calculations are ended, his wanderings cease, and his mind is no longer afflicted with anxiety.
ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ਅਚਰਜ ਸੋਭ ਬਣਾਈ ॥
govind gaaje anahad vaaje acharaj sobh banaaee |
When the Lord of the Universe reveals Himself, and the unstruck melody of the sound current vibrates, the drama of wondrous splendor is enacted.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਿਰੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਗੇ ਤਾ ਮੈ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੩॥
kahu naanak pir merai sange taa mai nav nidh paaee |3|
Says Nanak, when my Husband Lord is with me, I obtain the nine treasures. ||3||
ਸਰਸਿਅੜੇ ਸਰਸਿਅੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਸਭ ਮੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
sarasiarre sarasiarre mere bhaaee sabh meetaa raam |
Over-joyed - over-joyed are all my brothers and friends.
ਬਿਖਮੋ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਅਖਾੜਾ ਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
bikhamo bikham akhaarraa mai gur mil jeetaa raam |
Meeting the Guru, I have won the most arduous battle in the arena of life.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੀਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੂਟੀ ਭੀਤਾ ਭਰਮ ਗੜਾ ॥
gur mil jeetaa har har keetaa toottee bheetaa bharam garraa |
Meeting the Guru, I am victorious; praising the Lord, Har, Har, the walls of the fortress of doubt have been destroyed.
ਪਾਇਆ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ਸਾਣਥ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਪਿ ਖੜਾ ॥
paaeaa khajaanaa bahut nidhaanaa saanath meree aap kharraa |
I have obtained the wealth of so many treasures; the Lord Himself has stood by my side.
ਸੋਈ ਸੁਗਿਆਨਾ ਸੋ ਪਰਧਾਨਾ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ॥
soee sugiaanaa so paradhaanaa jo prabh apanaa keetaa |
He is the man of spiritual wisdom, and he is the leader, whom God has made His own.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਂ ਵਲਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਾ ਸਰਸੇ ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
kahu naanak jaan val suaamee taa sarase bhaaee meetaa |4|1|
Says Nanak, when the Lord and Master is on my side, then my brothers and friends rejoice. ||4||1||
