ਆਜੁ ਭਯੋ ਝੜ ਹੈ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਤਟਿ ਖੇਲਨ ਕੀ ਅਬ ਘਾਤ ਬਣੀ ॥
aaj bhayo jharr hai jamunaa tatt khelan kee ab ghaat banee |
Today, there are also a few clouds in the sky and my mind is getting impatient to play on the bank of Yamuna
ਤਜ ਕੈ ਡਰ ਖੇਲ ਕਰੋ ਹਮ ਸੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਸਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਅਣੀ ॥
taj kai ddar khel karo ham so kab sayaam kahiyo has kaanrah anee |
Krishna said smilingly, “All of you may wander with me fearlessly
ਜੋ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਤੁਮ ਮੈ ਸੋਊ ਖੇਲਹੁ ਖੇਲਹੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਜਣੀ ਰੁ ਕਣੀ ॥
jo sundar hai tum mai soaoo khelahu khelahu naeh janee ru kanee |
“The most beautiful from you may come with me, the others may not come
ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਹੈ ਹਸਿ ਕੈ ਰਸ ਬੋਲ ਕਿਧੋ ਹਰਤਾ ਜੋਊ ਮਾਨ ਫਣੀ ॥੪੬੨॥
eih bhaat kahai has kai ras bol kidho harataa joaoo maan fanee |462|
” Krishna, the smasher of the pride of the serpent Kali, uttered such-like words.462.
ਹਸਿ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਕਹੀ ਬਤੀਆ ਤਿਨ ਸੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੋ ਰਸ ਰਾਤੋ ॥
has kai su kahee bateea tin so kab sayaam kahai har jo ras raato |
Krishna said such words smilingly and steeped in sentiment
ਨੈਨ ਮ੍ਰਿਗੀਪਤਿ ਸੇ ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਇਮ ਚਾਲ ਚਲੈ ਜਿਮ ਗਈਯਰ ਮਾਤੋ ॥
nain mrigeepat se tih ke im chaal chalai jim geeyar maato |
His eyes are like deer and gait like an intoxicated elephant
ਦੇਖਤ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੀ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਭੂਲਿ ਗਈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੀ ਸੁਧ ਸਾਤੋ ॥
dekhat moorat kaanrah kee gopin bhool gee grih kee sudh saato |
Seeing his beauty the gopis lost all other consciousness
ਚੀਰ ਗਏ ਉਡ ਕੈ ਤਨ ਕੈ ਅਰੁ ਟੂਟ ਗਯੋ ਨੈਨ ਤੇ ਲਾਜ ਕੋ ਨਾਤੋ ॥੪੬੩॥
cheer ge udd kai tan kai ar ttoott gayo nain te laaj ko naato |463|
The garments dropped from their bodies and they abandoned all shyness.463.
ਕੁਪਿ ਕੈ ਮਧੁ ਕੈਟਭ ਤਾਨਿ ਮਰੇ ਮੁਰਿ ਦੈਤ ਮਰਿਯੋ ਅਪਨੇ ਜਿਨ ਹਾਥਾ ॥
kup kai madh kaittabh taan mare mur dait mariyo apane jin haathaa |
He, who on being enraged, killed the demons named Madhu, Kaitabh and Mur
ਜਾਹਿ ਬਿਭੀਛਨ ਰਾਜ ਦਯੋ ਰਿਸਿ ਰਾਵਨ ਕਾਟ ਦਏ ਜਿਹ ਮਾਥਾ ॥
jaeh bibheechhan raaj dayo ris raavan kaatt de jih maathaa |
He, who gave kingdom to Vibhishana and chopped the ten heads of Ravana
ਸੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਤਿਹੂ ਲੋਗਨ ਮਧਿ ਕਹੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਚਲੇ ਜਸ ਗਾਥਾ ॥
so tih kee tihoo logan madh kahai kab sayaam chale jas gaathaa |
The story of his victory prevails in all the three worlds
ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਭੂਮਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਸ ਕੈ ਹਿਤ ਖੇਲਤ ਹੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਸਾਥਾ ॥੪੬੪॥
so brij bhoom bikhai ras kai hit khelat hai fun gopin saathaa |464|
He is the same, who is absorbed in amorous play with the gopis at this time.464.
ਹਸਿ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਮੰਡਲ ਮੈ ਸੰਗ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਡ ਬਦੀ ॥
has kai har joo brij manddal mai sang gopin ke ik hodd badee |
ਸਭ ਧਾਇ ਪਰੈ ਹਮਹੂੰ ਤੁਮਹੂੰ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਬੀਚ ਨਦੀ ॥
sabh dhaae parai hamahoon tumahoon ih bhaat kahiyo mil beech nadee |
Krishna, smilingly talked about a play involving bet, with the gopis of Braja and said, “Come, let us jump into the river together
ਜਬ ਜਾਇ ਪਰੇ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਜਲ ਮੈ ਸੰਗ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਕੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਜਦੀ ॥
jab jaae pare jamunaa jal mai sang gopin ke bhagavaan jadee |
ਤਬ ਲੈ ਚੁਭਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੋ ਸੁ ਲਯੋ ਮੁਖ ਚੂਮ ਕਿਧੋ ਸੋ ਤਦੀ ॥੪੬੫॥
tab lai chubhakee har jee triy ko su layo mukh choom kidho so tadee |465|
In this way, when Krishna jumped into the water of Yamuna alongwith the gopis, then he very quickly kissed the face of one of them after diving.465.

ਨਿੰਦਉ ਨਿੰਦਉ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਲੋਗੁ ਨਿੰਦਉ ॥

Slander me, slander me - go ahead, people, and slander me.
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਖਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
nindaa jan kau kharee piaaree |
Slander is pleasing to the Lord's humble servant.
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਬਾਪੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nindaa baap nindaa mahataaree |1| rahaau |
Slander is my father, slander is my mother. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
nindaa hoe ta baikuntth jaaeeai |
If I am slandered, I go to heaven;
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਸਾਈਐ ॥
naam padaarath maneh basaaeeai |
the wealth of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides within my mind.
ਰਿਦੈ ਸੁਧ ਜਉ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
ridai sudh jau nindaa hoe |
If my heart is pure, and I am slandered,
ਹਮਰੇ ਕਪਰੇ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਧੋਇ ॥੧॥
hamare kapare nindak dhoe |1|
then the slanderer washes my clothes. ||1||
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਹਮਰਾ ਮੀਤੁ ॥
nindaa karai su hamaraa meet |
One who slanders me is my friend;
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਾਹਿ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਚੀਤੁ ॥
nindak maeh hamaaraa cheet |
the slanderer is in my thoughts.
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਸੋ ਜੋ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਰੈ ॥
nindak so jo nindaa horai |
The slanderer is the one who prevents me from being slandered.
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਲੋਰੈ ॥੨॥
hamaraa jeevan nindak lorai |2|
The slanderer wishes me long life. ||2||
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਮਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
nindaa hamaree prem piaar |
I have love and affection for the slanderer.
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਮਰਾ ਕਰੈ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥
nindaa hamaraa karai udhaar |
Slander is my salvation.
ਜਨ ਕਬੀਰ ਕਉ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
jan kabeer kau nindaa saar |
Slander is the best thing for servant Kabeer.
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਡੂਬਾ ਹਮ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੩॥੨੦॥੭੧॥
nindak ddoobaa ham utare paar |3|20|71|
The slanderer is drowned, while I am carried across. ||3||20||71||
ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਤੂੰ ਐਸਾ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raajaa raam toon aisaa nirbhau taran taaran raam raaeaa |1| rahaau |
O my Sovereign Lord King, You are Fearless; You are the Carrier to carry us across, O my Lord King. ||1||Pause||
ਜਬ ਹਮ ਹੋਤੇ ਤਬ ਤੁਮ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਬ ਤੁਮ ਹਹੁ ਹਮ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
jab ham hote tab tum naahee ab tum hahu ham naahee |
When I was, then You were not; now that You are, I am not.
ਅਬ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਏਕ ਭਏ ਹਹਿ ਏਕੈ ਦੇਖਤ ਮਨੁ ਪਤੀਆਹੀ ॥੧॥
ab ham tum ek bhe heh ekai dekhat man pateeaahee |1|
Now, You and I have become one; seeing this, my mind is content. ||1||
ਜਬ ਬੁਧਿ ਹੋਤੀ ਤਬ ਬਲੁ ਕੈਸਾ ਅਬ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲੁ ਨ ਖਟਾਈ ॥
jab budh hotee tab bal kaisaa ab budh bal na khattaaee |
When there was wisdom, how could there be strength? Now that there is wisdom, strength cannot prevail.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਬੁਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਦਲੀ ਸਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥੨੧॥੭੨॥
keh kabeer budh har lee meree budh badalee sidh paaee |2|21|72|
Says Kabeer, the Lord has taken away my wisdom, and I have attained spiritual perfection. ||2||21||72||

ਖਟ ਨੇਮ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਬਾਂਧੀ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ਬੀਚ ਪਾਈ ॥
khatt nem kar kottharree baandhee basat anoop beech paaee |
He fashioned the body chamber with six rings, and placed within it the incomparable thing.
ਕੁੰਜੀ ਕੁਲਫੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਕਰਤੇ ਬਾਰ ਨ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥
kunjee kulaf praan kar raakhe karate baar na laaee |1|
He made the breath of life the watchman, with lock and key to protect it; the Creator did this in no time at all. ||1||
ਅਬ ਮਨ ਜਾਗਤ ਰਹੁ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
ab man jaagat rahu re bhaaee |
Keep your mind awake and aware now, O Sibling of Destiny.
ਗਾਫਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਓ ਚੋਰੁ ਮੁਸੈ ਘਰੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gaafal hoe kai janam gavaaeo chor musai ghar jaaee |1| rahaau |
You were careless, and you have wasted your life; your home is being plundered by thieves. ||1||Pause||
ਪੰਚ ਪਹਰੂਆ ਦਰ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਪਤੀਆਰਾ ॥
panch paharooaa dar meh rahate tin kaa nahee pateeaaraa |
The five senses stand as guards at the gate, but now can they be trusted?
ਚੇਤਿ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਚਿਤ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੁ ਤਉ ਲੈ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਉਜਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
chet suchet chit hoe rahu tau lai paragaas ujaaraa |2|
When you are conscious in your consciousness, you shall be enlightened and illuminated. ||2||
ਨਉ ਘਰ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੁ ਕਾਮਨਿ ਭੂਲੀ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਨੂਪ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
nau ghar dekh ju kaaman bhoolee basat anoop na paaee |
Seeing the nine openings of the body, the soul-bride is led astray; she does not obtain that incomparable thing.
ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਵੈ ਘਰ ਮੂਸੇ ਦਸਵੈਂ ਤਤੁ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੩॥੨੨॥੭੩॥
kehat kabeer navai ghar moose dasavain tat samaaee |3|22|73|
Says Kabeer, the nine openings of the body are being plundered; rise up to the Tenth Gate, and discover the true essence. ||3||22||73||

ਮਾਈ ਮੋਹਿ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਆਨਾਨਾਂ ॥
maaee mohi avar na jaanio aanaanaan |
O mother, I do not know any other, except Him.
ਸਿਵ ਸਨਕਾਦਿ ਜਾਸੁ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਤਾਸੁ ਬਸਹਿ ਮੋਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਾਨਾਂ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
siv sanakaad jaas gun gaaveh taas baseh more praanaanaan | rahaau |
My breath of life resides in Him, whose praises are sung by Shiva and Sanak and so many others. ||Pause||
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੁਰ ਗੰਮਿਤ ਗਗਨ ਮੰਡਲ ਮਹਿ ਧਿਆਨਾਨਾਂ ॥
hirade pragaas giaan gur gamit gagan manddal meh dhiaanaanaan |
My heart is illuminated by spiritual wisdom; meeting the Guru, I meditate in the Sky of the Tenth Gate.
ਬਿਖੈ ਰੋਗ ਭੈ ਬੰਧਨ ਭਾਗੇ ਮਨ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਾਨਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
bikhai rog bhai bandhan bhaage man nij ghar sukh jaanaanaa |1|
The diseases of corruption, fear and bondage have run away; my mind has come to know peace in its own true home. ||1||
ਏਕ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਰਤਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੂਸਰ ਮਨਹਿ ਨ ਆਨਾਨਾ ॥
ek sumat rat jaan maan prabh doosar maneh na aanaanaa |
Imbued with a balanced single-mindedness, I know and obey God; nothing else enters my mind.
ਚੰਦਨ ਬਾਸੁ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਬਾਸਨ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਘਟਿਓ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
chandan baas bhe man baasan tiaag ghattio abhimaanaanaa |2|
My mind has become fragrant with the scent of sandalwood; I have renounced egotistical selfishness and conceit. ||2||
ਜੋ ਜਨ ਗਾਇ ਧਿਆਇ ਜਸੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ ਥਾਨਾਨਾਂ ॥
jo jan gaae dhiaae jas tthaakur taas prabhoo hai thaanaanaan |
That humble being, who sings and meditates on the Praises of his Lord and Master, is the dwelling-place of God.
ਤਿਹ ਬਡ ਭਾਗ ਬਸਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮਥਾਨਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
tih badd bhaag basio man jaa kai karam pradhaan mathaanaanaa |3|
He is blessed with great good fortune; the Lord abides in his mind. Good karma radiates from his forehead. ||3||
ਕਾਟਿ ਸਕਤਿ ਸਿਵ ਸਹਜੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਿਓ ਏਕੈ ਏਕ ਸਮਾਨਾਨਾ ॥
kaatt sakat siv sehaj pragaasio ekai ek samaanaanaa |
I have broken the bonds of Maya; the intuitive peace and poise of Shiva has dawned within me, and I am merged in oneness with the One.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਿ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਰਹੇ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਾਨਾਂ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੭੪॥
keh kabeer gur bhett mahaa sukh bhramat rahe man maanaanaan |4|23|74|
Says Kabeer, meeting the Guru, I have found absolute peace. My mind has ceased its wanderings; I am happy. ||4||23||74||
