ਨੰਦ ਕੇ ਅਗ੍ਰਜ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਗੋਪਨ ਜਾਇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁ ਸਬੈ ॥
nand ke agraj kaanrah paraakram gopan jaae kahiyo su sabai |
ਦੈਤ ਅਘਾਸੁਰ ਅਉਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਨਾਵ੍ਰਤ ਯਾਹਿ ਬਧਿਯੋ ਉਡਿ ਬੀਚ ਨਭੈ ॥
dait aghaasur aaur trinaavrat yaeh badhiyo udd beech nabhai |
The gopas went to Nand and told him about the strength and glory of Krishna. They told him that Krishna had flown into the sky and killed the demons named Aghasura and Tranvrata
ਫੁਨਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਡਰੀ ਬਕਈ ਸਭ ਗੋਪਨ ਦਾਨ ਦਯੋ ਇਹ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਅਭੈ ॥
fun maar ddaree bakee sabh gopan daan dayo ih kaanrah abhai |
Then he killed Bakasura and made gopas fearless
ਸੁਨੀਐ ਪਤਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਉਪਾਵ ਕਰੋ ਕੋਊ ਪੈ ਇਹ ਸੋ ਸੁਤ ਨਾਹਿ ਲਭੈ ॥੩੯੨॥
suneeai pat kott upaav karo koaoo pai ih so sut naeh labhai |392|
“O the Lord of gopas! though great effort may be made, still such a son cannot be obtained.392.
ਗੋਪਨ ਕੀ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਸੁਨੀਐ ਪਤਿ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੈ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਰਣਗਾਮੀ ॥
gopan kee binatee suneeai pat dhiaan dharai ih ko ranagaamee |
“O Nand! We are saying this that the warriors meditate on this Krishna
ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੈ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਮੁਨਿ ਈਸਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੈ ਇਹ ਕਾਇਰ ਕਾਮੀ ॥
dhiaan dharai ih ko mun eesar dhiaan dharai ih kaaeir kaamee |
Even the sages, Shive, ordinary individuals, lustful persons etc. also meditate on him
ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੈ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਸੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਸਭ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੈ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਨ ਬਾਮੀ ॥
dhiaan dharai ih ko su triyaa sabh dhiaan dharai ih dekhan baamee |
“All the women meditate on him
ਸਤਿ ਲਖਿਯੋ ਹਮ ਕੈ ਕਰਤਾ ਜਗ ਸਤਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮਤ ਕੈ ਨਹਿ ਖਾਮੀ ॥੩੯੩॥
sat lakhiyo ham kai karataa jag sat kahiyo mat kai neh khaamee |393|
The world acknowledges him as the Creator, which is quite true, there is no flaw in it.”393.
ਹੈ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਬਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਯੋ ਸਭ ਗੋਪ ਕਹੈ ਪੁਤਨਾ ਇਨ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
hai bhagavaan balee pragattiyo sabh gop kahai putanaa in maaree |
“This mighty Lord has destroyed Putana
ਰਾਜ ਬਿਭੀਛਨ ਯਾਹਿ ਦਯੋ ਇਨ ਹੀ ਕੁਪਿ ਰਾਵਨ ਦੈਤ ਸੰਘਾਰੀ ॥
raaj bibheechhan yaeh dayo in hee kup raavan dait sanghaaree |
He killed Ravana and gave the kingdom to Vibhishana
ਰਛ ਕਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਲਾਦਹਿ ਕੀ ਇਨ ਹੀ ਹਰਨਾਖਸ ਕੀ ਉਰ ਫਾਰੀ ॥
rachh karee pralaadeh kee in hee haranaakhas kee ur faaree |
He protected Prahalada by bursting open the belly of Hiranayakashipu
ਨੰਦ ਸੁਨੋ ਪਤਿ ਲੋਕਨ ਕੈ ਇਨ ਹੀ ਹਮਰੀ ਅਬ ਦੇਹ ਉਬਾਰੀ ॥੩੯੪॥
nand suno pat lokan kai in hee hamaree ab deh ubaaree |394|
O Nand, the lord of the people! listen, He had now saved us.”394.
ਹੈ ਸਭ ਲੋਗਨ ਕੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਭੀਤਰ ਹੈ ਕਰਤਾ ਇਹ ਲੀਲਾ ॥
hai sabh logan ko karataa brij bheetar hai karataa ih leelaa |
“He is the Creater of all the people
ਸਿਖ︀ਯਨ ਕੋ ਬਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਸਾਧਨ ਕੋ ਹਰਤਾ ਤਨ ਹੀਲਾ ॥
sikhayan ko barataa har hai ih saadhan ko harataa tan heelaa |
On this side, the whole of Braja was fearful and he was engaged in his amorous play Krishna is the fast of the disciples and he is also the effort in the saint’s body
ਰਾਖ ਲਈ ਇਨ ਹੀ ਸੀਅ ਕੀ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖਿ ਲਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪਾਰਥ ਸੀਲਾ ॥
raakh lee in hee seea kee pat raakh lee triy paarath seelaa |
“He protected the high character of Sita and Daropati
ਗੋਪ ਕਹੈ ਪਤਿ ਸੋ ਸੁਨੀਐ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨੰ ਬਰ ਬੀਰ ਹਠੀਲਾ ॥੩੯੫॥
gop kahai pat so suneeai ih hai krisanan bar beer hattheelaa |395|
“O Nand! the performer of all these works is this persistent Krishna.”395.
ਦਿਨ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ ਚਕਏ ਗਿਰਿ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਬਛਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਬਨਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
din beet ge chake gir ke har jee bachhare sang lai ban jaavai |
“Many days elapsed after the event of carrying the mountain
ਜਿਉ ਧਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਘਾਸੁ ਚੁਗੈ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਮਹਾ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
jiau dhar moorat ghaas chugai bhagavaan mahaa man mai sukh paavai |
Now Krishna began to go to the forest alongwith the calves seeing the cows grazing there, the Lord (Krishna) remined absorbed in bliss in his mind
ਲੈ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਵ ਘਨੇ ਹਿਤ ਸਾਥ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥
lai muralee apune kar mai kar bhaav ghane hit saath bajaavai |
ਮੋਹਿ ਰਹੈ ਜੁ ਸੁਨੈ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੁਰ ਮੋਹਿ ਰਹੈ ਧੁਨਿ ਜੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩੯੬॥
mohi rahai ju sunai patanee sur mohi rahai dhun jo sun paavai |396|
“Taking up his flute in his hand, he played on it having filled with intensive emotion, everyone who listened to the sound of the flute, including the heavenly damsels, got allured.396.
ਕੁਪ ਕੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਬਾਲਿ ਮਰਿਓ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਅਰੁ ਰਾਵਨ ਕੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਸੈਨ ਮਰੀ ਹੈ ॥
kup kai jin baal mario chhin mai ar raavan kee jin sain maree hai |
“He, who killed Bali in rage and destroyed the army of Ravana
ਜਾਹਿ ਬਿਭੀਛਨ ਰਾਜ ਦਯੋ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਜਿਹ ਕੀ ਤਿਹ ਲੰਕ ਕਰੀ ਹੈ ॥
jaeh bibheechhan raaj dayo chhin mai jih kee tih lank karee hai |
He, who gave the kingdom (of Landa) to Vibhishana and made him the Lord of Lanka in an instant
ਮੁਰ ਮਾਰਿ ਦਯੋ ਘਟਿਕਾਨ ਕਰੀ ਰਿਪੁ ਜਾ ਸੀਅ ਕੀ ਜੀਯ ਪੀਰ ਹਰੀ ਹੈ ॥
mur maar dayo ghattikaan karee rip jaa seea kee jeey peer haree hai |
ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਭੂਮਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸੁ ਗਊਅਨ ਕੈ ਮਿਸ ਖੇਲ ਕਰੀ ਹੈ ॥੩੯੭॥
so brij bhoom bikhai bhagavaan su gaooan kai mis khel karee hai |397|
“He, who killed the demon named Sura and killing the enemy, removed the suffering of Sita, the same Lord, having taken birth in Braja, is playing with his cows.397.
ਜਾਹਿ ਸਹੰਸ੍ਰ ਫਨੀ ਤਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਸੋਇ ਕਰੀ ਜਲ ਭੀਤਰ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ॥
jaeh sahansr fanee tan aoopar soe karee jal bheetar kreerraa |
“He, who plays in the waters, being seated on Sheshanaga of thousands of heads
ਜਾਹਿ ਬਿਭੀਛਨ ਰਾਜ ਦਯੋ ਅਰੁ ਜਾਹਿ ਦਈ ਕੁਪਿ ਰਾਵਨ ਪੀੜਾ ॥
jaeh bibheechhan raaj dayo ar jaeh dee kup raavan peerraa |
He, who in greatire, agonized Ravana and gave kingdom to Vibhishana
ਜਾਹਿ ਦਯੋ ਕਰ ਕੈ ਜਗ ਭੀਤਰ ਜੀਵ ਚਰਾਚਰ ਅਉ ਗਜ ਕੀੜਾ ॥
jaeh dayo kar kai jag bheetar jeev charaachar aau gaj keerraa |
“He, who mercifully gave life-breath to the movable and immovable beings and to the elephants and worms in the whole world
ਖੇਲਤ ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਭੂਮਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਲ ਸੁਰਾਸੁਰ ਬੀਚ ਝਗੀੜਾ ॥੩੯੮॥
khelat so brij bhoom bikhai jin keel suraasur beech jhageerraa |398|
He is the same Lord, who is playing in Braja and who has ever seen the war between the gods and demons.398.
ਬੀਰ ਬਡੇ ਦੁਰਜੋਧਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਜਾਹਿ ਮਰਾਇ ਡਰੇ ਰਨਿ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ॥
beer badde durajodhan aadik jaeh maraae ddare ran chhatree |
“He, from whom, Duryodhana and other great warriors fear in the battlefield
ਜਾਹਿ ਮਰਿਯੋ ਸਿਸੁਪਾਲ ਰਿਸੈ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਜਨ ਮੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨੰ ਬਰ ਅਤ੍ਰੀ ॥
jaeh mariyo sisupaal risai kar raajan mai krisanan bar atree |
He, who, in great rage, killed Shishupala, the same mighty hero is this Krishna
ਖੇਲਤ ਹੈ ਸੋਊ ਗਊਅਨ ਮੈ ਜੋਊ ਹੈ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਬਧ ਸਤ੍ਰੀ ॥
khelat hai soaoo gaooan mai joaoo hai jag ko karataa badh satree |
“The same Krishna is playing with his cows and the same Krishna is the killer of enemies and the creator of the whole world
ਆਗਿ ਸੋ ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਲਪੇਟਤ ਜਿਉ ਫੁਨਿ ਗੋਪ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ॥੩੯੯॥
aag so dhoomr lapettat jiau fun gop kahaavat hai ih chhatree |399|
And the same Krishna shines like a spark of fire amidst the smoke and calls himself a gopa, being a Kshatriya.399.
ਕਰ ਜੁਧ ਮਰੇ ਇਕਲੇ ਮਧੁ ਕੀਟਭ ਰਾਜੁ ਸਤਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੋ ਜਿਹ ਦੀਆ ॥
kar judh mare ikale madh keettabh raaj satakrit ko jih deea |
“Engaged in war with him, the demons Madhu and Kaitabh were killed and it was he, who gave kingdom toe Indra
ਕੁੰਭਕਰਨ ਮਰਿਯੋ ਜਿਨਿ ਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਰਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਬਧ ਕੀਆ ॥
kunbhakaran mariyo jin hai ar raavan ko chhin mai badh keea |
Kumbhkarna also died, fighting with him and he killed Ravana in an instant
ਰਾਜੁ ਬਿਭੀਛਨ ਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਅਉਧਿ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਸੀਆ ॥
raaj bibheechhan de kar aanand aaudh chaliyo sang lai kar seea |
“It was he who after giving kingdom to Vibhishana and taking Sita with him,
ਪਾਪਨ ਕੇ ਬਧ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੋ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਕੇ ਅਬ ਲੀਆ ॥੪੦੦॥
paapan ke badh kaaran so avataar bikhai brij ke ab leea |400|
Went towards Avadh and now he has incarnated in Braja in order to kill the sinners.”400.
ਜੋ ਉਪਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕਰੀ ਗੋਪਨ ਤਉ ਪਤਿ ਗੋਪਨ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਹੈ ॥
jo upamaa har kee karee gopan tau pat gopan baat kahee hai |
The way in which the gopas praised Krishna, in the same way, Nand, the Lord of gopas said,
ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਬਲੁ ਆਇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਗਰਗੈ ਹਮ ਸੋ ਸੋਊ ਬਾਤ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ ॥
jo ih ko bal aae kahiyo garagai ham so soaoo baat sahee hai |
“The description, that you have given about the might of Krishna, is quite correct
ਪੂਤੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਬਸੁਦੇਵਹਿ ਕੋ ਦਿਜ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲਿਯੋ ਫੁਨਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ॥
poot kahiyo basudeveh ko dij taeh miliyo fun maan ihee hai |
“Purohit (the priest) has called him the son of Vasudev and this is his good fortune
ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਫੁਨਿ ਮਾਰਨ ਆਯੋ ਸੁ ਤਾਹੀ ਕੀ ਦੇਹ ਗਈ ਨ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੦੧॥
jo ih ko fun maaran aayo su taahee kee deh gee na rahee hai |401|
He, who came to kill him, he himself was destroyed physically.”401.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik oankaar satigur prasaad |
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਨਹਿ ਨ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ॥
har jas suneh na har gun gaaveh |
They do not listen to the Lord's Praises, and they do not sing the Lord's Glories,
ਬਾਤਨ ਹੀ ਅਸਮਾਨੁ ਗਿਰਾਵਹਿ ॥੧॥
baatan hee asamaan giraaveh |1|
but they try to bring down the sky with their talk. ||1||
ਐਸੇ ਲੋਗਨ ਸਿਉ ਕਿਆ ਕਹੀਐ ॥
aise logan siau kiaa kaheeai |
What can anyone say to such people?
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਏ ਭਗਤਿ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਜ ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਡਰਾਨੇ ਰਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jo prabh kee bhagat te baahaj tin te sadaa ddaraane raheeai |1| rahaau |
You should always be careful around those whom God has excluded from His devotional worship. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਿ ਨ ਦੇਹਿ ਚੁਰੂ ਭਰਿ ਪਾਨੀ ॥
aap na dehi churoo bhar paanee |
They do not offer even a handful of water,
ਤਿਹ ਨਿੰਦਹਿ ਜਿਹ ਗੰਗਾ ਆਨੀ ॥੨॥
tih nindeh jih gangaa aanee |2|
while they slander the one who brought forth the Ganges. ||2||
ਬੈਠਤ ਉਠਤ ਕੁਟਿਲਤਾ ਚਾਲਹਿ ॥
baitthat utthat kuttilataa chaaleh |
Sitting down or standing up, their ways are crooked and evil.
ਆਪੁ ਗਏ ਅਉਰਨ ਹੂ ਘਾਲਹਿ ॥੩॥
aap ge aauran hoo ghaaleh |3|
They ruin themselves, and then they ruin others. ||3||
ਛਾਡਿ ਕੁਚਰਚਾ ਆਨ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥
chhaadd kucharachaa aan na jaaneh |
They know nothing except evil talk.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੂ ਕੋ ਕਹਿਓ ਨ ਮਾਨਹਿ ॥੪॥
brahamaa hoo ko kahio na maaneh |4|
They would not even obey Brahma's orders. ||4||
ਆਪੁ ਗਏ ਅਉਰਨ ਹੂ ਖੋਵਹਿ ॥
aap ge aauran hoo khoveh |
They themselves are lost, and they mislead others as well.
ਆਗਿ ਲਗਾਇ ਮੰਦਰ ਮੈ ਸੋਵਹਿ ॥੫॥
aag lagaae mandar mai soveh |5|
They set their own temple on fire, and then they fall asleep within it. ||5||
ਅਵਰਨ ਹਸਤ ਆਪ ਹਹਿ ਕਾਂਨੇ ॥
avaran hasat aap heh kaane |
They laugh at others, while they themselves are one-eyed.
ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਦੇਖਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਲਜਾਨੇ ॥੬॥੧॥੪੪॥
tin kau dekh kabeer lajaane |6|1|44|
Seeing them, Kabeer is embarrassed. ||6||1||44||

ਜੀਵਤ ਪਿਤਰ ਨ ਮਾਨੈ ਕੋਊ ਮੂਏਂ ਸਿਰਾਧ ਕਰਾਹੀ ॥
jeevat pitar na maanai koaoo mooen siraadh karaahee |
He does not honor his ancestors while they are alive, but he holds feasts in their honor after they have died.
ਪਿਤਰ ਭੀ ਬਪੁਰੇ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਕਊਆ ਕੂਕਰ ਖਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
pitar bhee bapure kahu kiau paaveh kaooaa kookar khaahee |1|
Tell me, how can his poor ancestors receive what the crows and the dogs have eaten up? ||1||
ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੁਸਲੁ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ਕੋਈ ॥
mo kau kusal bataavahu koee |
If only someone would tell me what real happiness is!
ਕੁਸਲੁ ਕੁਸਲੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਜਗੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਕੁਸਲੁ ਭੀ ਕੈਸੇ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kusal kusal karate jag binasai kusal bhee kaise hoee |1| rahaau |
Speaking of happiness and joy, the world is perishing. How can happiness be found? ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਟੀ ਕੇ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਗੈ ਜੀਉ ਦੇਹੀ ॥
maattee ke kar devee devaa tis aagai jeeo dehee |
Making gods and goddesses out of clay, people sacrifice living beings to them.
ਐਸੇ ਪਿਤਰ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਆਪਨ ਕਹਿਆ ਨ ਲੇਹੀ ॥੨॥
aise pitar tumaare kaheeeh aapan kahiaa na lehee |2|
Such are your dead ancestors, who cannot ask for what they want. ||2||
ਸਰਜੀਉ ਕਾਟਹਿ ਨਿਰਜੀਉ ਪੂਜਹਿ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ ਕਉ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
sarajeeo kaatteh nirajeeo poojeh ant kaal kau bhaaree |
You murder living beings and worship lifeless things; at your very last moment, you shall suffer in terrible pain.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਭੈ ਡੂਬੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
raam naam kee gat nahee jaanee bhai ddoobe sansaaree |3|
You do not know the value of the Lord's Name; you shall drown in the terrifying world-ocean. ||3||
ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਾ ਪੂਜਹਿ ਡੋਲਹਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
devee devaa poojeh ddoleh paarabraham nahee jaanaa |
You worship gods and goddesses, but you do not know the Supreme Lord God.
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਕੁਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸਿਉ ਲਪਟਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੪੫॥
kehat kabeer akul nahee chetiaa bikhiaa siau lapattaanaa |4|1|45|
Says Kabeer, you have not remembered the Lord who has no ancestors; you are clinging to your corrupt ways. ||4||1||45||

Gauree:
ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰੈ ਮਰੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਐਸੇ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥
jeevat marai marai fun jeevai aise sun samaaeaa |
One who remains dead while yet alive, will live even after death; thus he merges into the Primal Void of the Absolute Lord.
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਭਵਜਲਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

Remaining pure in the midst of impurity, he will never again fall into the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਐਸਾ ਖੀਰੁ ਬਿਲੋਈਐ ॥

O my Lord, this is the milk to be churned.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਨੂਆ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਓਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਾਣਿ ਬਜਰ ਕਲ ਛੇਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਪਦੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ॥
gur kai baan bajar kal chhedee pragattiaa pad paragaasaa |
The Guru's arrow has pierced the hard core of this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, and the state of enlightenment has dawned.
ਸਕਤਿ ਅਧੇਰ ਜੇਵੜੀ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਚੂਕਾ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਸਿਵ ਘਰਿ ਬਾਸਾ ॥੨॥
sakat adher jevarree bhram chookaa nihachal siv ghar baasaa |2|
In the darkness of Maya, I mistook the rope for the snake, but that is over, and now I dwell in the eternal home of the Lord. ||2||
ਤਿਨਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਾਣੈ ਧਨਖੁ ਚਢਾਈਐ ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਭਾਈ ॥
tin bin baanai dhanakh chadtaaeeai ihu jag bedhiaa bhaaee |
Maya has drawn her bow without an arrow, and has pierced this world, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਬੂਡੀ ਪਵਨੁ ਝੁਲਾਵੈ ਡੋਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੩॥
deh dis booddee pavan jhulaavai ddor rahee liv laaee |3|
The drowning person is blown around in the ten directions by the wind, but I hold tight to the string of the Lord's Love. ||3||
ਉਨਮਨਿ ਮਨੂਆ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਭਾਗੀ ॥
aunaman manooaa sun samaanaa dubidhaa duramat bhaagee |
The disturbed mind has been absorbed in the Lord; duality and evil-mindedness have run away.
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਨਭਉ ਇਕੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੪੬॥
kahu kabeer anbhau ik dekhiaa raam naam liv laagee |4|2|46|
Says Kabeer, I have seen the One Lord, the Fearless One; I am attuned to the Name of the Lord. ||4||2||46||
