ਜਯ ਜੰਪਤ ਜੁਗਣ ਜੂਹ ਜੁਅੰ ॥

Gather ye together and shout victory to that Lord!
ਭੈ ਕੰਪਹਿ ਮੇਰੁ ਪਯਾਲ ਭੁਅੰ ॥
bhai kanpeh mer payaal bhuan |
In whose Fear tremble the heaven nether-world and the earth!
ਤਪੁ ਤਾਪਸ ਸਰਬ ਜਲੇ ਰੁ ਥਲੰ ॥
tap taapas sarab jale ru thalan |
For whose realization all the ascetics of water and land perform austerities!
ਧਨ ਉਚਰਤ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਬਲੰ ॥੧॥੧੪੧॥

ਅਨਖੇਦ ਸਰੂਪ ਅਭੇਦ ਅਭਿਅੰ ॥

He is Griefless Entity Indiscriminate and Fearless!
ਅਨਖੰਡ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਛਿਅੰ ॥
anakhandd abhoot achhed achhian |
He is Indivisible Elementless Invincible and Indestructible!
ਅਨਕਾਲ ਅਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਸੁਅੰ ॥
anakaal apaal deaal suan |
He is Deathless Patronless Beneficent and Self-Existent !
ਜਿਹ ਠਟੀਅੰ ਮੇਰ ਆਕਾਸ ਭੁਅੰ ॥੨॥੧੪੨॥

He is non-divisible non-stable and Mighty Purusha !
ਜਿਹ ਰਚੀਅੰ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਬਰੰ ॥

Who hath Created great gods and demons!
ਸਭ ਕੀਨੀ ਦੀਨ ਜਮੀਨ ਜਮਾਂ ॥
sabh keenee deen jameen jamaan |
Who hath Created both Earth and Sky!
ਜਿਹ ਰਚੀਅੰ ਸਰਬ ਮਕੀਨ ਮਕਾਂ ॥੩॥੧੪੩॥
jih racheean sarab makeen makaan |3|143|
Who hath Created all the Universe and the objects of the universe! 3. 143
ਜਿਹ ਰਾਗ ਨ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਰੁਖੰ ॥
jih raag na roop na rekh rukhan |
He has no affection for any form sign of face!
ਜਿਹ ਤਾਪ ਨ ਸ੍ਰਾਪ ਨ ਸੋਕ ਸੁਖੰ ॥
jih taap na sraap na sok sukhan |
He is without any effect of heat and curse and without grief and comfort!
ਜਿਹ ਰੋਗ ਨ ਸੋਗ ਨ ਭੋਗ ਭੁਯੰ ॥
jih rog na sog na bhog bhuyan |
He is without ailment sorrow enjoyment and fear!
ਜਿਹ ਖੇਦ ਨ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਛੇਦ ਛਯੰ ॥੪॥੧੪੪॥
jih khed na bhed na chhed chhayan |4|144|
He is without pain without contrast without jealousy without thirst! 4. 144
ਜਿਹ ਜਾਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਤਿ ਨ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤੰ ॥
jih jaat na paat na maat pitan |
He is without caste without caste without lineage without mother and father!
ਜਿਹ ਰਚੀਅੰ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਛਿਤੰ ॥
jih racheean chhatree chhatr chhitan |
He hast Created the Kshatriya warriors under royal canopies on the earth!
ਜਿਹ ਰਾਗ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਨ ਰੋਗ ਭਣੰ ॥
jih raag na rekh na rog bhanan |
He is said to be without affection without lineage and ailment!
ਜਿਹ ਦ੍ਵੈਖ ਨ ਦਾਗ ਨ ਦੋਖ ਗਣੰ ॥੫॥੧੪੫॥
jih dvaikh na daag na dokh ganan |5|145|
He is considered without blemish stain and malice! 5. 145
ਜਿਹ ਅੰਡਹਿ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮੰਡ ਰਚਿਓ ॥
jih anddeh te brahimandd rachio |
He hath Created the Universe out of he Comic Egg!
ਦਿਸ ਚਾਰ ਕਰੀ ਨਵ ਖੰਡ ਸਚਿਓ ॥
dis chaar karee nav khandd sachio |
He hath Created forteen worlds and nine regions!
ਰਜ ਤਾਮਸ ਤੇਜ ਅਤੇਜ ਕੀਓ ॥
raj taamas tej atej keeo |
He hath Created Rajas (activity) Tamas (morbidity) light and darkness!
ਅਨਭਉ ਪਦ ਆਪ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਲੀਓ ॥੬॥੧੪੬॥

And he Himself manifested His Mighty Resplendent Form! 6. 146
ਸ੍ਰਿਅ ਸਿੰਧੁਰ ਬਿੰਧ ਨਗਿੰਧ ਨਗੰ ॥

He Created the ocean Vindhyachal mountain and Sumeru mountain!
ਸ੍ਰਿਅ ਜਛ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਫਣਿੰਦ ਭੁਜੰ ॥
sria jachh gandharab fanind bhujan |
He Created Yakshas Gandharvas Sheshanagas and serpents!
ਰਚ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਅਭੇਵ ਨਰੰ ॥
rach dev adev abhev naran |
He created the Indiscriminate gods demons and men!
ਨਰਪਾਲ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਕਰਾਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਗੰ ॥੭॥੧੪੭॥

He Created kings and the great crawling and dredful beings! 7. 147
ਕਈ ਕੀਟ ਪਤੰਗ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਨਰੰ ॥

He Created many worms moths serpents and men!
ਰਚਿ ਅੰਡਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਉਤਭੁਜੰ ॥
rach anddaj setaj utabhujan |
He Created many beings of the divisions of creation including Andaja Suetaja and Uddhihibhijja!
ਕੀਏ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਸਰਾਧ ਪਿਤੰ ॥
kee dev adev saraadh pitan |
He Created the gods demons Shradha (funeral rites) and manes!
ਅਨਖੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਗਤੰ ॥੮॥੧੪੮॥

His Glory is Unassailable and His Gait is Supremely Speedy! 8. 148
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਤਿ ਨ ਜੋਤਿ ਜੁਤੰ ॥
prabh jaat na paat na jot jutan |
He is without caste and lineage and as Light He is united with all!
ਜਿਹ ਤਾਤ ਨ ਮਾਤ ਨ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਸੁਤੰ ॥
jih taat na maat na bhraat sutan |
He is without father mother brother and son!
ਜਿਹ ਰੋਗ ਨ ਸੋਗ ਨ ਭੋਗ ਭੁਅੰ ॥
jih rog na sog na bhog bhuan |
He is without ailment and sorrow He is not absorbed in enjoyments!
ਜਿਹ ਜੰਪਹਿ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਜਛ ਜੁਅੰ ॥੯॥੧੪੯॥
jih janpeh kinar jachh juan |9|149|
To him the Yakshas and Kinnars unitedly meditate! 9. 149
ਨਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਨਿਪੁੰਸਕ ਜਾਹਿ ਕੀਏ ॥
nar naar nipunsak jaeh kee |
He hath Created men women and eunuchs!
ਗਣ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਜਛ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਦੀਏ ॥
gan kinar jachh bhujang dee |
He hath Created Yakshas Kinnars Ganas and serpents!
ਗਜਿ ਬਾਜਿ ਰਥਾਦਿਕ ਪਾਂਤਿ ਗਣੰ ॥
gaj baaj rathaadik paant ganan |
He hath Created elephants horses chariots etc including footmen!
ਭਵ ਭੂਤ ਭਵਿਖ ਭਵਾਨ ਤੁਅੰ ॥੧੦॥੧੫੦॥
bhav bhoot bhavikh bhavaan tuan |10|150|
O Lord! Thou hast also Created the Past Present and Future! 10. 150
ਜਿਹ ਅੰਡਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਜੇਰਰਜੰ ॥
jih anddaj setaj jerarajan |
He hath Created all the Beings of the divisions of Creation including Andaja Svetaja and Jeruja!
ਰਚਿ ਭੂਮ ਅਕਾਸ ਪਤਾਲ ਜਲੰ ॥
rach bhoom akaas pataal jalan |
He hath Created the Earth Sky nether-world and water!
ਰਚਿ ਪਾਵਕ ਪਉਣ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਬਲੀ ॥
rach paavak paun prachandd balee |
He hath Created the powerful elements like fire and air!
ਬਨ ਜਾਸੁ ਕੀਓ ਫਲ ਫੂਲ ਕਲੀ ॥੧੧॥੧੫੧॥
ban jaas keeo fal fool kalee |11|151|
He hath Created the forest fruit flower and bud! 11. 151
ਭੂਅ ਮੇਰ ਅਕਾਸ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਛਿਤੰ ॥
bhooa mer akaas nivaas chhitan |
He hath Created the Earth Sumeru mountain and the sky the Earth hath been made the abode for living!
ਰਚਿ ਰੋਜ ਇਕਾਦਸ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੰ ॥
rach roj ikaadas chandr britan |
The Muslim fasts and the Ekadashi fast hath been associated with the moon!
ਦੁਤਿ ਚੰਦ ਦਿਨੀ ਸਹਿ ਦੀਪ ਦਈ ॥
dut chand dinee seh deep dee |
The lamps of moon and sun have been Created!
ਜਿਹ ਪਾਵਕ ਪੌਨ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਮਈ ॥੧੨॥੧੫੨॥
jih paavak pauan prachandd mee |12|152|
And the Powerful elements of fire and air have been Created! 12. 152
ਜਿਹ ਖੰਡ ਅਖੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਕੀਏ ॥
jih khandd akhandd prachandd kee |
He hath Created the indivisible sky with Sun within it!
ਜਿਹ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਉਪਾਇ ਛਿਪਾਇ ਦੀਏ ॥
jih chhatr upaae chhipaae dee |
He hath Created the stars and concealed them within Sun’s Light!
ਜਿਹ ਲੋਕ ਚਤੁਰ ਦਸ ਚਾਰ ਰਚੇ ॥
jih lok chatur das chaar rache |
He hath Created the fourteen beautiful worlds!
ਗਣ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਸਚੇ ॥੧੩॥੧੫੩॥
gan gandhrab dev adev sache |13|153|
And hath also Created Ganas Gandharvas gods and demons! 13. 153
ਅਨਧੂਤ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਛੂਤ ਮਤੰ ॥
anadhoot abhoot achhoot matan |
He is Immaculate Elementless with unpolluted intellect!
ਅਨਗਾਧ ਅਬ︀ਯਾਧ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਗਤੰ ॥
anagaadh abayaadh anaad gatan |
He is Unfathomable without malady and is active from Eternity!
ਅਨਖੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਅਛੇਦ ਨਰੰ ॥
anakhed abhed achhed naran |
He is without anguish without difference and Unassailable Purusha!
ਜਿਹ ਚਾਰ ਚਤ੍ਰ ਦਿਸ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਫਿਰੰ ॥੧੪॥੧੫੪॥
jih chaar chatr dis chakr firan |14|154|
His discus rotes over all the fourteen worlds! 14. 154
ਜਿਹ ਰਾਗ ਨ ਰੰਗ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਰੁਗੰ ॥
jih raag na rang na rekh rugan |
He is without affection colour and without any mark!
ਜਿਹ ਸੋਗ ਨ ਭੋਗ ਨ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗੰ ॥
jih sog na bhog na jog jugan |
He is without sorrow enjoyment and association with Yoga!
ਭੂਅ ਭੰਜਨ ਗੰਜਨ ਆਦਿ ਸਿਰੰ ॥
bhooa bhanjan ganjan aad siran |
He is the Destroyer of the Earth and the Primal Creator!
ਜਿਹ ਬੰਦਤ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਨਰੰ ॥੧੫॥੧੫੫॥
jih bandat dev adev naran |15|155|
The gods demons and men all make obeisance to Him! 15. 155
ਗਣ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਜਛ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਰਚੇ ॥
gan kinar jachh bhujang rache |
He Created Ganas Kinnars Yakshas and serpents!
ਮਣਿ ਮਾਣਿਕ ਮੋਤੀ ਲਾਲ ਸੁਚੇ ॥
man maanik motee laal suche |
He Created the gems rubies pearls and jewels!
ਅਨਭੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਅਨਗੰਜ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੰ ॥
anabhanj prabhaa anaganj britan |
His Glory is Unassailable and His account is Eternal!
ਜਿਹ ਪਾਰ ਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਪੂਰ ਮਤੰ ॥੧੬॥੧੫੬॥
jih paar na paavat poor matan |16|156|
No one of perfect wisdom could know His Limits! 16. 156
ਅਨਖੰਡ ਸਰੂਪ ਅਡੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ॥
anakhandd saroop addandd prabhaa |
His is the Invincible Entity and His Glory is Unpunishable!
ਜੈ ਜੰਪਤ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਭਾ ॥
jai janpat bed puraan sabhaa |
All the Vedas and Puranas hail Him!
ਜਿਹ ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਅਨੰਤ ਕਹੈ ॥
jih bed kateb anant kahai |
The Vedas and Katebs (Semitic Scriptures) call Him Infinite!
ਜਿਹ ਭੂਤ ਅਭੂਤ ਨ ਭੇਦ ਲਹੈ ॥੧੭॥੧੫੭॥
jih bhoot abhoot na bhed lahai |17|157|
The Gross and Subtle both could not know His Secret! 17. 157
ਜਿਹ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਕਤੇਬ ਜਪੈ ॥
jih bed puraan kateb japai |
The Vedas Puranas and Katebs pray to Him!
ਸੁਤਸਿੰਧ ਅਧੋ ਮੁਖ ਤਾਪ ਤਪੈ ॥
sutasindh adho mukh taap tapai |
The son of ocean ie moon with face upside down performs austerities for His realization!
ਕਈ ਕਲਪਨ ਲੌ ਤਪ ਤਾਪ ਕਰੈ ॥
kee kalapan lau tap taap karai |
He performs austerities for many kalpas (ages) !
ਨਹੀ ਨੈਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਨ ਪਰੈ ॥੧੮॥੧੫੮॥
nahee naik kripaa nidh paan parai |18|158|
Still the Merciful Lord is not realized by him even for a short while! 18. 158
ਜਿਹ ਫੋਕਟ ਧਰਮ ਸਭੈ ਤਜਿ ਹੈਂ ॥
jih fokatt dharam sabhai taj hain |
Those who forsake all the fake religions !
ਇਕ ਚਿਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਕੋ ਜਪਿ ਹੈਂ ॥
eik chit kripaa nidh ko jap hain |
And meditate on the Merciful Lord single-mindedly !
ਤੇਊ ਯਾ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰ ਕੋ ਤਰ ਹੈਂ ॥
teaoo yaa bhav saagar ko tar hain |
They ferry across this dreadful world-ocean !
ਭਵ ਭੂਲ ਨ ਦੇਹਿ ਪੁਨਰ ਧਰ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੯॥੧੫੯॥
bhav bhool na dehi punar dhar hain |19|159|
And never come again in human body even by mistake! 19. 159
ਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਟ ਬ੍ਰਤੀ ॥
eik naam binaa nahee kott bratee |
Without One Lord’s Name one cannot be saved even by millions of fasts!
ਇਮ ਬੇਦ ਉਚਾਰਤ ਸਾਰਸੁਤੀ ॥
eim bed uchaarat saarasutee |
The Superb Shrutis (of the Vedas) declare thus!
ਜੋਊ ਵਾ ਰਸ ਕੇ ਚਸਕੇ ਰਸ ਹੈਂ ॥
joaoo vaa ras ke chasake ras hain |
Those who are absorbed with the ambrosia of the Name even by Mistake !
ਤੇਊ ਭੂਲ ਨ ਕਾਲ ਫੰਧਾ ਫਸਿ ਹੈਂ ॥੨੦॥੧੬੦॥
teaoo bhool na kaal fandhaa fas hain |20|160|
They will not be entrapped in he snare of death! 20. 160
ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

Siree Raag, Third Mehl:
ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਸਚੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੇਇ ॥
sachaa saahib seveeai sach vaddiaaee dee |
Serve your True Lord and Master, and you shall be blessed with true greatness.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
gur parasaadee man vasai haumai door karee |
By Guru's Grace, He abides in the mind, and egotism is driven out.
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਧਾਵਤੁ ਤਾ ਰਹੈ ਜਾ ਆਪੇ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੧॥
eihu man dhaavat taa rahai jaa aape nadar karee |1|
This wandering mind comes to rest, when the Lord casts His Glance of Grace. ||1||
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
bhaaee re guramukh har naam dhiaae |
O Siblings of Destiny, become Gurmukh, and meditate on the Name of the Lord.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਦ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਹਲੀ ਪਾਵੈ ਥਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
naam nidhaan sad man vasai mahalee paavai thaau |1| rahaau |
The Treasure of the Naam abides forever within the mind, and one's place of rest is found in the Mansion of the Lord's Presence. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਨਉ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥
manamukh man tan andh hai tis nau tthaur na tthaau |
The minds and bodies of the self-willed manmukhs are filled with darkness; they find no shelter, no place of rest.
ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਉਦਾ ਫਿਰੈ ਜਿਉ ਸੁੰਞੈਂ ਘਰਿ ਕਾਉ ॥
bahu jonee bhaudaa firai jiau sunyain ghar kaau |
Through countless incarnations they wander lost, like crows in a deserted house.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਘਟਿ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥੨॥
guramatee ghatt chaananaa sabad milai har naau |2|
Through the Guru's Teachings, the heart is illuminated. Through the Shabad, the Name of the Lord is received. ||2||
ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਅੰਧੁ ਹੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਗੁਬਾਰ ॥
trai gun bikhiaa andh hai maaeaa moh gubaar |
In the corruption of the three qualities, there is blindness; in attachment to Maya, there is darkness.
ਲੋਭੀ ਅਨ ਕਉ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਪੜਿ ਵੇਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਪੂਕਾਰ ॥
lobhee an kau sevade parr vedaa karai pookaar |
The greedy people serve others, instead of the Lord, although they loudly announce their reading of scriptures.
ਬਿਖਿਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਚਿ ਮੁਏ ਨਾ ਉਰਵਾਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
bikhiaa andar pach mue naa uravaar na paar |3|
They are burnt to death by their own corruption; they are not at home, on either this shore or the one beyond. ||3||
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ਜਗਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਿ ॥
maaeaa mohi visaariaa jagat pitaa pratipaal |
In attachment to Maya, they have forgotten the Father, the Cherisher of the World.
ਬਾਝਹੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਚੇਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਬਧੀ ਜਮਕਾਲਿ ॥
baajhahu guroo achet hai sabh badhee jamakaal |
Without the Guru, all are unconscious; they are held in bondage by the Messenger of Death.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਉਬਰੇ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੪੩॥
naanak guramat ubare sachaa naam samaal |4|10|43|
O Nanak, through the Guru's Teachings, you shall be saved, contemplating the True Name. ||4||10||43||

ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਚਉਥਾ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
trai gun maaeaa mohu hai guramukh chauthaa pad paae |
The three qualities hold people in attachment to Maya. The Gurmukh attains the fourth state of higher consciousness.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
kar kirapaa melaaeian har naam vasiaa man aae |
Granting His Grace, God unites us with Himself. The Name of the Lord comes to abide within the mind.
ਪੋਤੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਾਇ ॥੧॥
potai jin kai pun hai tin satasangat melaae |1|
Those who have the treasure of goodness join the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. ||1||
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhaaee re guramat saach rahaau |
O Siblings of Destiny, follow the Guru's Teachings and dwell in truth.
ਸਾਚੋ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saacho saach kamaavanaa saachai sabad milaau |1| rahaau |
Practice truth, and only truth, and merge in the True Word of the Shabad. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
jinee naam pachhaaniaa tin vittahu bal jaau |
I am a sacrifice to those who recognize the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਗਾ ਚਲਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
aap chhodd charanee lagaa chalaa tin kai bhaae |
Renouncing selfishness, I fall at their feet, and walk in harmony with His Will.
ਲਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
laahaa har har naam milai sahaje naam samaae |2|
Earning the Profit of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, I am intuitively absorbed in the Naam. ||2||
ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
bin gur mehal na paaeeai naam na paraapat hoe |
Without the Guru, the Mansion of the Lord's Presence is not found, and the Naam is not obtained.
ਐਸਾ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਲੋੜਿ ਲਹੁ ਜਿਦੂ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
aisaa satagur lorr lahu jidoo paaeeai sach soe |
Seek and find such a True Guru, who shall lead you to the True Lord.
ਅਸੁਰ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਸੈ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
asur sanghaarai sukh vasai jo tis bhaavai su hoe |3|
Destroy your evil passions, and you shall dwell in peace. Whatever pleases the Lord comes to pass. ||3||
ਜੇਹਾ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਤੇਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
jehaa satagur kar jaaniaa teho jehaa sukh hoe |
As one knows the True Guru, so is the peace obtained.
ਏਹੁ ਸਹਸਾ ਮੂਲੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਾਉ ਲਾਏ ਜਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
ehu sahasaa moole naahee bhaau laae jan koe |
There is no doubt at all about this, but those who love Him are very rare.
ਨਾਨਕ ਏਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਦੁਇ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੪੪॥
naanak ek jot due mooratee sabad milaavaa hoe |4|11|44|
O Nanak, the One Light has two forms; through the Shabad, union is attained. ||4||11||44||
