ਰਾਮ ਬਿਦਾ ਕਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਚੂਮਯੋ ਪਾਨ ਪੀਠ ਧਰੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੋ ਭਰੇ ਲੈ ਤੰਬੋਰ ਆਗੇ ਧਰੇ ਹੈਂ ॥
raam bidaa kare sir choomayo paan peetth dhare aanand so bhare lai tanbor aage dhare hain |
Ram kissed the heads of all and placed his hand on their back with love, He presented with betel leaf etc. and affectionately bade them farewell.
ਦੁੰਦਭੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਤੀਨੋ ਭਾਈ ਯੌ ਚਲਤ ਭਏ ਮਾਨੋ ਸੂਰ ਚੰਦ ਕੋਟਿ ਆਨ ਅਵਤਰੇ ਹੈਂ ॥
dundabhee bajaae teeno bhaaee yau chalat bhe maano soor chand kott aan avatare hain |
Playing on the drums and the musical instruments all the people moved as if millions of suns and moons have manifested on the earth.
ਕੇਸਰ ਸੋ ਭੀਜੇ ਪਟ ਸੋਭਾ ਦੇਤ ਐਸੀ ਭਾਤ ਮਾਨੋ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਗ ਕੇ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਭਾਗ ਭਰੇ ਹੈਂ ॥
kesar so bheeje patt sobhaa det aisee bhaat maano roop raag ke suhaag bhaag bhare hain |
The garments saturated with saffron are looking splendid as if the beauty itself has materialized.
ਰਾਜਾ ਅਵਧੇਸ ਕੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਐਸੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਦੇਤ ਕਾਮਜੂ ਨੇ ਕੋਟਿਕ ਕਲਿਯੋਰਾ ਕੈਧੌ ਕਰੇ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੬੯॥
raajaa avadhes ke kumaar aise sobhaa det kaamajoo ne kottik kaliyoraa kaidhau kare hain |169|
The princes of Dasrath the king of Oudh, appear splendid like the god of love alongwith his arts.169.

ਅਉਧ ਤੇ ਨਿਸਰ ਚਲੇ ਲੀਨੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੂਰ ਭਲੇ ਰਨ ਤੇ ਨ ਟਲੇ ਪਲੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੂੰ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਕੇ ॥
aaudh te nisar chale leene sang soor bhale ran te na ttale pale sobhaa hoon ke dhaam ke |
All have moved out of Oudhpuri and all of them taken along with them the winsome warriors, who never retrace their steps in war.
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਉਰ ਹਾਰ ਸੋਭਤ ਅਪਾਰ ਤੀਨੋ ਲੋਗ ਮਧ ਕੀ ਮੁਹਯਾ ਸਭ ਬਾਮ ਕੇ ॥
sundar kumaar ur haar sobhat apaar teeno log madh kee muhayaa sabh baam ke |
They are beautiful princes, bedecked with necklaces around their necks. They are all going to bring their wedded women.
ਦੁਰਜਨ ਦਲਯਾ ਤੀਨੋ ਲੋਕ ਕੇ ਜਿਤਯਾ ਤੀਨੋ ਰਾਮ ਜੂ ਕੇ ਭਯਾ ਹੈਂ ਚਹਯਾ ਹਰ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ॥
durajan dalayaa teeno lok ke jitayaa teeno raam joo ke bhayaa hain chahayaa har naam ke |
They are all the mashers of the tyrants, capable of conquering the three worlds, lovers of the name of the Lord and brothers of Ram.
ਬੁਧ ਕੇ ਉਦਾਰ ਹੈਂ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਦਾਨ ਸੀਲ ਕੇ ਪਹਾਰ ਕੈ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਬਨੇ ਕਾਮ ਕੇ ॥੧੭੦॥
budh ke udaar hain singaar avataar daan seel ke pahaar kai kumaar bane kaam ke |170|
They are magnanimous in wisdom, the incarnation of embellishment, the mountain of munificence and are just like Ram.170.

ਨਾਗਰਾ ਕੇ ਨੈਨ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਚਾਤਰਾ ਕੇ ਬੈਨ ਹੈਂ ਬਘੂਲਾ ਮਾਨੋ ਗੈਨ ਕੈਸੇ ਤੈਸੇ ਥਹਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥
naagaraa ke nain hain ki chaataraa ke bain hain baghoolaa maano gain kaise taise thaharat hain |
The horses, restless like the eyes of a women, swift like the swift utterances of a shrewd person an mercurial like the crane rising up in the sky, are vibrating hither and thither.
ਨ੍ਰਿਤਕਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਉ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਜੂਪ ਕੈਸੇ ਦਾਉ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਛਲ ਕੋ ਦਿਖਾਉ ਕੋਊ ਤੈਸੇ ਬਿਹਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥
nritakaa ke paau hain ki joop kaise daau hain ki chhal ko dikhaau koaoo taise biharat hain |
They are swift like the feet of a dancer, they are the tactics of throwing the dice or even some hallucination.
ਹਾਕੇ ਬਾਜ ਬੀਰ ਹੈਂ ਤੁਫੰਗ ਕੈਸੇ ਤੀਰ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਅੰਜਨੀ ਕੇ ਧੀਰ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਧੁਜਾ ਸੇ ਫਹਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥
haake baaj beer hain tufang kaise teer hain ki anjanee ke dheer hain ki dhujaa se faharat hain |
These brave horses are swift like arrow and gunshot, shrewd and mighty like Hanuman, the son of Anjani they are roaming like the fluttering banners.
ਲਹਰੈਂ ਅਨੰਗ ਕੀ ਤਰੰਗ ਜੈਸੇ ਗੰਗ ਕੀ ਅਨੰਗ ਕੈਸੇ ਅੰਗ ਜਯੋਂ ਨ ਕਹੂੰ ਠਹਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੧॥
laharain anang kee tarang jaise gang kee anang kaise ang jayon na kahoon tthaharat hain |171|
These horses are like the intense emotions of the god of love, or the swift waves of the Ganges. They have beautiful limbs like the limbs of cupid and are not stable at any one place.171.
ਨਿਸਾ ਨਿਸਨਾਥਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਦਿਨ ਦਿਨਪਤਿ ਮਾਨੈ ਭਿਛਕਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨੇ ਮਹਾ ਦਾਨ ਹੈਂ ॥
nisaa nisanaath jaanai din dinapat maanai bhichhakan daataa kai pramaane mahaa daan hain |
All the princes are being considered as moon by the night and sun by the day, they are known as great donors for the beggars, the ailments consider them as medicine.
ਅਉਖਧੀ ਕੇ ਰੋਗਨ ਅਨੰਤ ਰੂਪ ਜੋਗਨ ਸਮੀਪ ਕੈ ਬਿਯੋਗਨ ਮਹੇਸ ਮਹਾ ਮਾਨ ਹੈਂ ॥
aaukhadhee ke rogan anant roop jogan sameep kai biyogan mahes mahaa maan hain |
When they, consisting of endless beauty are nearby, them there is suspicion about their impending separation. They are all most honourable like Shiva.
ਸਤ੍ਰੈ ਖਗ ਖਯਾਤਾ ਸਿਸ ਰੂਪਨ ਕੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਹਾ ਗਯਾਨੀ ਗਯਾਨ ਗਯਾਤਾ ਕੈ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈਂ ॥
satrai khag khayaataa sis roopan ke maataa mahaa gayaanee gayaan gayaataa kai bidhaataa kai samaan hain |
They are famous swordsmen, childlike for their mothers, the supreme knowledgeable for great sages, they appear apparently like probvidence.
ਗਨਨ ਗਨੇਸ ਮਾਨੈ ਸੁਰਨ ਸੁਰੇਸ ਜਾਨੈ ਜੈਸੇ ਪੇਖੈ ਤੈਸੇ ਈ ਲਖੇ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੨॥
ganan ganes maanai suran sures jaanai jaise pekhai taise ee lakhe biraajamaan hain |172|
All the Ganas consider them as Ganesh and all the gods as Indra. The sum and substance is this that they manifest themselves in the same form as one thinks about.172.
ਸੁਧਾ ਸੌ ਸੁਧਾਰੇ ਰੂਪ ਸੋਭਤ ਉਜਿਯਾਰੇ ਕਿਧੌ ਸਾਚੇ ਬੀਚ ਢਾਰੇ ਮਹਾ ਸੋਭਾ ਕੈ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੈ ॥
sudhaa sau sudhaare roop sobhat ujiyaare kidhau saache beech dtaare mahaa sobhaa kai sudhaar kai |
Having bathed in ambrosia and the manifestation of beauty and glory, these very winsome princes appear as having been created in special mould.
ਕਿਧੌ ਮਹਾ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਕੇ ਮੋਹਬੇ ਨਮਿਤ ਬੀਰ ਬਿਧਨਾ ਬਨਾਏ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਧ ਸੋ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕੈ ॥
kidhau mahaa mohanee ke mohabe namit beer bidhanaa banaae mahaa bidh so bichaar kai |
It seems that in order to allure some most beautiful damsel the providence created these great heroes in a special way.
ਕਿਧੌ ਦੇਵ ਦੈਤਨ ਬਿਬਾਦ ਛਾਡ ਬਡੇ ਚਿਰ ਮਥ ਕੈ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਛੀਰ ਲੀਨੇ ਹੈ ਨਿਕਾਰ ਕੈ ॥
kidhau dev daitan bibaad chhaadd badde chir math kai samundr chheer leene hai nikaar kai |
They appear as having been taken out as gems by churning the ocean by the gods and demons on abandoning their disputes.
ਕਿਧੌ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਨਾਥ ਜੂ ਬਨਾਏ ਨਿਜ ਪੇਖਬੇ ਕਉ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਸਕਤ ਐਸੀ ਸੂਰਤੈ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੈ ॥੧੭੩॥
kidhau bisvanaath joo banaae nij pekhabe kau aaur na sakat aisee sooratai sudhaar kai |173|
Or it seems that the Lord of the universe made improvement in the creation of their faces himself for having their continuous sight.173.
ਸੀਮ ਤਜਿ ਆਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਾਨੇ ਦੇਸ ਲਾਘ ਲਾਘ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਿਥਲੇਸ ਕੇ ਪਹੂਚੇ ਦੇਸ ਆਨ ਕੈ ॥
seem taj aapanee biraane des laagh laagh raajaa mithales ke pahooche des aan kai |
Crossing the frontier of their kingdom and passing through other countries, all these princes reached the abode of king Janak of Mithila.
ਤੁਰਹੀ ਅਨੰਤ ਬਾਜੈ ਦੁੰਦਭੀ ਅਪਾਰ ਗਾਜੈ ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਾਜਨ ਬਜਾਏ ਜੋਰ ਜਾਨ ਕੈ ॥
turahee anant baajai dundabhee apaar gaajai bhaat bhaat baajan bajaae jor jaan kai |
On reaching there they caused the high-pitch resonance of the drums and other musical instruments.
ਆਗੈ ਆਨਿ ਤੀਨੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੰਠ ਲਾਇ ਲੀਨੇ ਰੀਤ ਰੂੜ ਸਭੈ ਕੀਨੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਬੇਦ ਕੈ ਬਿਧਾਨ ਕੈ ॥
aagai aan teenai nrip kantth laae leene reet roorr sabhai keene baitthe bed kai bidhaan kai |
The king came forward and hugged the all three to his bosom, all the Vedic rites were performed.
ਬਰਿਖਯੋ ਧਨ ਕੀ ਧਾਰ ਪਾਇਯਤ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰ ਭਿਛਕ ਭਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਰ ਐਸੇ ਪਾਇ ਦਾਨ ਕੈ ॥੧੭੪॥
barikhayo dhan kee dhaar paaeiyat na paaraavaar bhichhak bhe nripaar aise paae daan kai |174|
There was continuous chartable flow of wealth and on acquiring the alsm, the beggars became king-like.174.
ਬਾਨੇ ਫਹਰਾਨੇ ਘਹਰਾਨੇ ਦੁੰਦਭ ਅਰਰਾਨੇ ਜਨਕ ਪੁਰੀ ਕੌ ਨੀਅਰਾਨੇ ਬੀਰ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
baane faharaane ghaharaane dundabh araraane janak puree kau neearaane beer jaae kai |
The banners were unfurled and the drums resounded, the brave heroes began to shout loudly on reaching Janakpuri.
ਕਹੂੰ ਚਉਰ ਢਾਰੈ ਕਹੂੰ ਚਾਰਣ ਉਚਾਰੈ ਕਹੂੰ ਭਾਟ ਜੁ ਪੁਕਾਰੈ ਛੰਦ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
kahoon chaur dtaarai kahoon chaaran uchaarai kahoon bhaatt ju pukaarai chhand sundar banaae kai |
Somewhere the whisks are being swung, somewhere the minstrels are singing eulogies and somewhere the poets are reciting their beautiful stanza.
ਕਹੂੰ ਬੀਨ ਬਾਜੈ ਕੋਊ ਬਾਸੁਰੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਸਾਜੈ ਦੇਖੇ ਕਾਮ ਲਾਜੈ ਰਹੇ ਭਿਛਕ ਅਘਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
kahoon been baajai koaoo baasuree mridang saajai dekhe kaam laajai rahe bhichhak aghaae kai |
Somewhere the lyre is being played, somewhere flutes, drum and other musical instruments. On seeing all this the god of love is feeling shy and so mush charity was donated that the beggars feel satisfied.
ਰੰਕ ਤੇ ਸੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਭਏ ਆਸਿਖ ਅਸੇਖ ਦਏ ਮਾਗਤ ਨ ਭਏ ਫੇਰ ਐਸੋ ਦਾਨ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੭੫॥
rank te su raajaa bhe aasikh asekh de maagat na bhe fer aiso daan paae kai |175|
The poor became king-like and began to give blessings after receiving alms, no tendency for begging was left.175.
ਆਨ ਕੈ ਜਨਕ ਲੀਨੋ ਕੰਠ ਸੋ ਲਗਾਇ ਤਿਹੂੰ ਆਦਰ ਦੁਰੰਤ ਕੈ ਅਨੰਤ ਭਾਤਿ ਲਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
aan kai janak leeno kantth so lagaae tihoon aadar durant kai anant bhaat le hain |
Janak came and hugged all the three to his bosom and honoured them in various ways.
ਬੇਦ ਕੇ ਬਿਧਾਨ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਬਯਾਸ ਤੇ ਬਧਾਈ ਬੇਦ ਏਕ ਏਕ ਬਿਪ੍ਰ ਕਉ ਬਿਸੇਖ ਸ੍ਵਰਨ ਦਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
bed ke bidhaan kai kai bayaas te badhaaee bed ek ek bipr kau bisekh svaran de hain |
The Vedic discipline was observed and the Brahmins recited the congratulatory Vedic mantras.
ਰਾਜਕੁਆਰ ਸਭੈ ਪਹਿਰਾਇ ਸਿਰਪਾਇਨ ਤੇ ਮੋਤੀਮਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਰਖ ਮੇਘ ਗਏ ਹੈਂ ॥
raajakuaar sabhai pahiraae sirapaaein te moteemaan karake barakh megh ge hain |
The king gave the gift of gold to each Brahmin, the princes were given presents and there was shower of gems.
ਦੰਤੀ ਸ੍ਵੇਤ ਦੀਨੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਸਿੰਧਲੀ ਤੁਰੇ ਨਵੀਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਤੀਨੋ ਬਯਾਹ ਕੈ ਪਠਏ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੬॥
dantee svet deene kete sindhalee ture naveene raajaa ke kumaar teeno bayaah kai patthe hain |176|
The white elephants and the brisk horses of Sindhu were presented to the princes, in this way all the three princes moved black after their wedding.176.

Night and day, with each and every breath, I think of You.
ਸੰਤ ਦੇਉ ਸੰਦੇਸਾ ਪੈ ਚਰਣਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
sant deo sandesaa pai charanaare jeeo |
O Saints, give Him this message; I fall at Your Feet.
ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਰੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
tudh bin kit bidh tareeai jeeo |1|
Without You, how can I be saved? ||1||
ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਮੈ ਕਰੇ ਅਨੰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
sang tumaarai mai kare anandaa jeeo |
In Your Company, I am in ecstasy.
ਵਣਿ ਤਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
van tin tribhavan sukh paramaanandaa jeeo |
In the forest, the fields and the three worlds, there is peace and supreme bliss.
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਬਿਗਸੰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
sej suhaavee ihu man bigasandaa jeeo |
My bed is beautiful, and my mind blossoms forth in ecstasy.
ਪੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਇਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਲਹੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
pekh darasan ihu sukh laheeai jeeo |2|
Beholding the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I have found this peace. ||2||
ਚਰਣ ਪਖਾਰਿ ਕਰੀ ਨਿਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
charan pakhaar karee nit sevaa jeeo |
I wash Your Feet, and constantly serve You.
ਪੂਜਾ ਅਰਚਾ ਬੰਦਨ ਦੇਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
poojaa arachaa bandan devaa jeeo |
O Divine Lord, I worship and adore You; I bow down before You.
ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਲੇਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
daasan daas naam jap levaa jeeo |
I am the slave of Your slaves; I chant Your Name.
ਬਿਨਉ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਕਹੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
binau tthaakur peh kaheeai jeeo |3|
I offer this prayer to my Lord and Master. ||3||
ਇਛ ਪੁੰਨੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
eichh punee meree man tan hariaa jeeo |
My desires are fulfilled, and my mind and body are rejuvenated.
ਦਰਸਨ ਪੇਖਤ ਸਭ ਦੁਖ ਪਰਹਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
darasan pekhat sabh dukh parahariaa jeeo |
Beholding the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, all my pains have been taken away.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੇ ਜਪਿ ਤਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
har har naam jape jap tariaa jeeo |
Chanting and meditating on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, I have been saved.
ਇਹੁ ਅਜਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਹੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੬੭॥

Nanak endures this unendurable celestial bliss. ||4||2||167||

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ਭਿ ਵਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
man tan teraa ihu jeeo bhi vaare jeeo |
my mind and body are Yours. This life is a sacrifice to You as well.
ਵਿਸਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
visar naahee prabh praan adhaare jeeo |
May I never forget God, the Support of the breath of life.
ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

I have come to Your Eternal Sanctuary. ||1||
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਭਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥

Meeting Him, my mind is revived, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
gur parasaadee so har har paaee jeeo |
By Guru's Grace, I have found the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਆ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
sabh kichh prabh kaa prabh keea jaaee jeeo |
All things belong to God; all places belong to God.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
prabh kau sad bal jaaee jeeo |2|
I am forever a sacrifice to God. ||2||
ਏਹੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਜਪੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥

ਨਾਮ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਏਕ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
naam niranjan ek liv laagee jeeo |
They enshrine love for the Naam, the Name of the One Immaculate Lord.
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
gur pooraa paaeaa sabh dukh mittaaeaa jeeo |
Finding the Perfect Guru, all suffering is dispelled.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
aatth pehar gun gaaeaa jeeo |3|
Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Glories of God. ||3||
ਰਤਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
ratan padaarath har naam tumaaraa jeeo |
Your Name is the treasure of jewels, Lord.
ਤੂੰ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਭਗਤੁ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
toon sachaa saahu bhagat vanajaaraa jeeo |
You are the True Banker; Your devotee is the trader.
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਰਾਸਿ ਸਚੁ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
har dhan raas sach vaapaaraa jeeo |
True is the trade of those who have the wealth of the Lord's assets.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੬੮॥
jan naanak sad balihaaraa jeeo |4|3|168|
Servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice. ||4||3||168||

I am so proud of You, O Creator; I am so proud of You.
ਜੋਰਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਸਾ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jor tumaarai sukh vasaa sach sabad neesaan |1| rahaau |
Through Your Almighty Power, I dwell in peace. The True Word of the Shabad is my banner and insignia. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭੇ ਗਲਾ ਜਾਤੀਆ ਸੁਣਿ ਕੈ ਚੁਪ ਕੀਆ ॥
sabhe galaa jaateea sun kai chup keea |
He hears and knows everything, but he keeps silent.
ਕਦ ਹੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨ ਲਧੀਆ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੜਿਆ ॥੧॥
kad hee surat na ladheea maaeaa moharriaa |1|
Bewitched by Maya, he never regains awareness. ||1||
ਦੇਇ ਬੁਝਾਰਤ ਸਾਰਤਾ ਸੇ ਅਖੀ ਡਿਠੜਿਆ ॥
dee bujhaarat saarataa se akhee ddittharriaa |
The riddles and hints are given, and he sees them with his eyes.
ਕੋਈ ਜਿ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਲੋਭੀਆ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਸੁਣੀ ਕਹਿਆ ॥੨॥
koee ji moorakh lobheea mool na sunee kahiaa |2|
But he is foolish and greedy, and he never listens to what he is told. ||2||
ਇਕਸੁ ਦੁਹੁ ਚਹੁ ਕਿਆ ਗਣੀ ਸਭ ਇਕਤੁ ਸਾਦਿ ਮੁਠੀ ॥
eikas duhu chahu kiaa ganee sabh ikat saad mutthee |
Why bother to count one, two, three, four? The whole world is defrauded by the same enticements.
ਇਕੁ ਅਧੁ ਨਾਇ ਰਸੀਅੜਾ ਕਾ ਵਿਰਲੀ ਜਾਇ ਵੁਠੀ ॥੩॥
eik adh naae raseearraa kaa viralee jaae vutthee |3|
Hardly anyone loves the Lord's Name; how rare is that place which is in bloom. ||3||
ਭਗਤ ਸਚੇ ਦਰਿ ਸੋਹਦੇ ਅਨਦ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤਿ ॥
bhagat sache dar sohade anad kareh din raat |
The devotees look beautiful in the True Court; night and day, they are happy.
ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਤ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੬੯॥
rang rate paramesarai jan naanak tin bal jaat |4|1|169|
They are imbued with the Love of the Transcendent Lord; servant Nanak is a sacrifice to them. ||4||1||169||
