ਫਲਗੁਣਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਉਪਾਰਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਆਇ ॥
falagun anand upaarajanaa har sajan pragatte aae |
In the month of Phalgun, bliss comes to those, unto whom the Lord, the Friend, has been revealed.
ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ਰਾਮ ਕੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਆ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
sant sahaaee raam ke kar kirapaa deea milaae |
The Saints, the Lord's helpers, in their mercy, have united me with Him.
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਹੁਣਿ ਦੁਖਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
sej suhaavee sarab sukh hun dukhaa naahee jaae |
My bed is beautiful, and I have all comforts. I feel no sadness at all.
ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀ ਵਡਭਾਗਣੀ ਵਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥
eichh punee vaddabhaaganee var paaeaa har raae |
My desires have been fulfilled-by great good fortune, I have obtained the Sovereign Lord as my Husband.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਹੀਆ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਵਹੀ ਗੀਤ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਲਾਇ ॥
mil saheea mangal gaavahee geet govind alaae |
Join with me, my sisters, and sing the songs of rejoicing and the Hymns of the Lord of the Universe.
ਹਰਿ ਜੇਹਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦਿਸਈ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਇ ॥
har jehaa avar na disee koee doojaa lavai na laae |
There is no other like the Lord-there is no equal to Him.
ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਓਨੁ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਦਿਤੀਅਨੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
halat palat savaarion nihachal diteean jaae |
He embellishes this world and the world hereafter, and He gives us our permanent home there.
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਤੇ ਰਖਿਅਨੁ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜਨਮੈ ਧਾਇ ॥
sansaar saagar te rakhian bahurr na janamai dhaae |
He rescues us from the world-ocean; never again do we have to run the cycle of reincarnation.
ਜਿਹਵਾ ਏਕ ਅਨੇਕ ਗੁਣ ਤਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਚਰਣੀ ਪਾਇ ॥
jihavaa ek anek gun tare naanak charanee paae |
I have only one tongue, but Your Glorious Virtues are beyond counting. Nanak is saved, falling at Your Feet.
ਫਲਗੁਣਿ ਨਿਤ ਸਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਤਮਾਇ ॥੧੩॥
falagun nit salaaheeai jis no til na tamaae |13|
In Phalgun, praise Him continually; He has not even an iota of greed. ||13||
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਰੇ ॥
jin jin naam dhiaaeaa tin ke kaaj sare |
Those who meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord-their affairs are all resolved.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਚਿ ਖਰੇ ॥
har gur pooraa aaraadhiaa daragah sach khare |
Those who meditate on the Perfect Guru, the Lord-Incarnate-they are judged true in the Court of the Lord.
ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਚਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਰੇ ॥
sarab sukhaa nidh charan har bhaujal bikham tare |
The Lord's Feet are the Treasure of all peace and comfort for them; they cross over the terrifying and treacherous world-ocean.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਪਾਈਆ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਹਿ ਜਰੇ ॥
prem bhagat tin paaeea bikhiaa naeh jare |
They obtain love and devotion, and they do not burn in corruption.
ਕੂੜ ਗਏ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਨਸੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਚਿ ਭਰੇ ॥
koorr ge dubidhaa nasee pooran sach bhare |
Falsehood has vanished, duality has been erased, and they are totally overflowing with Truth.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਧਰੇ ॥
paarabraham prabh sevade man andar ek dhare |
They serve the Supreme Lord God, and enshrine the One Lord within their minds.
ਮਾਹ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੂਰਤ ਭਲੇ ਜਿਸ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ॥
maah divas moorat bhale jis kau nadar kare |
The months, the days, and the moments are auspicious, for those upon whom the Lord casts His Glance of Grace.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਰਸ ਦਾਨੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰੇ ॥੧੪॥੧॥
naanak mangai daras daan kirapaa karahu hare |14|1|
Nanak begs for the blessing of Your Vision, O Lord. Please, shower Your Mercy upon me! ||14||1||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਸੇਵੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਸਭਿ ਰੈਣ ॥
sevee satigur aapanaa har simaree din sabh rain |
I serve my True Guru, and meditate on Him all day and night.
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਵਾਂ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਮਿਠੜੇ ਵੈਣ ॥
aap tiaag saranee pavaan mukh bolee mittharre vain |
Renouncing selfishness and conceit, I seek His Sanctuary, and speak sweet words to Him.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਸੈਣ ॥
janam janam kaa vichhurriaa har melahu sajan sain |
Through countless lifetimes and incarnations, I was separated from Him. O Lord, you are my Friend and Companion-please unite me with Yourself.
ਜੋ ਜੀਅ ਹਰਿ ਤੇ ਵਿਛੁੜੇ ਸੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਨ ਵਸਨਿ ਭੈਣ ॥
jo jeea har te vichhurre se sukh na vasan bhain |
Those who are separated from the Lord do not dwell in peace, O sister.
ਹਰਿ ਪਿਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਚੈਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਖੋਜਿ ਡਿਠੇ ਸਭਿ ਗੈਣ ॥
har pir bin chain na paaeeai khoj dditthe sabh gain |
Without their Husband Lord, they find no comfort. I have searched and seen all realms.
ਆਪ ਕਮਾਣੈ ਵਿਛੁੜੀ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਦੇਣ ॥
aap kamaanai vichhurree dos na kaahoo den |
My own evil actions have kept me separate from Him; why should I accuse anyone else?
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਹੋਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਰਣ ਕਰੇਣ ॥
kar kirapaa prabh raakh lehu hor naahee karan karen |
Bestow Your Mercy, God, and save me! No one else can bestow Your Mercy.
ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਿਣੁ ਖਾਕੂ ਰੂਲਣਾ ਕਹੀਐ ਕਿਥੈ ਵੈਣ ॥
har tudh vin khaakoo roolanaa kaheeai kithai vain |
Without You, Lord, we roll around in the dust. Unto whom should we utter our cries of distress?
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਰਜਨੁ ਦੇਖਾ ਨੈਣ ॥੧॥
naanak kee benanteea har surajan dekhaa nain |1|
This is Nanak's prayer: "May my eyes behold the Lord, the Angelic Being." ||1||
ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਸੋ ਸੁਣੇ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
jeea kee birathaa so sune har samrith purakh apaar |
The Lord hears the anguish of the soul; He is the All-powerful and Infinite Primal Being.
ਮਰਣਿ ਜੀਵਣਿ ਆਰਾਧਣਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
maran jeevan aaraadhanaa sabhanaa kaa aadhaar |
In death and in life, worship and adore the Lord, the Support of all.
ਸਸੁਰੈ ਪੇਈਐ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੰਤ ਕੀ ਵਡਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ॥
sasurai peeeai tis kant kee vaddaa jis paravaar |
In this world and in the next, the soul-bride belongs to her Husband Lord, who has such a vast family.
ਊਚਾ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧ ਕਿਛੁ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥
aoochaa agam agaadh bodh kichh ant na paaraavaar |
He is Lofty and Inaccessible. His Wisdom is Unfathomable.
ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵਸੀ ਸੰਤਾ ਕੀ ਹੋਇ ਛਾਰੁ ॥
sevaa saa tis bhaavasee santaa kee hoe chhaar |
He has no end or limitation. That service is pleasing to Him, which makes one humble, like the dust of the feet of the Saints.
ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਦੈਆਲ ਦੇਵ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
deenaa naath daiaal dev patit udhaaranahaar |
He is the Patron of the poor, the Merciful, Luminous Lord, the Redeemer of sinners.
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦੀ ਰਖਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥
aad jugaadee rakhadaa sach naam karataar |
From the very beginning, and throughout the ages, the True Name of the Creator has been our Saving Grace.
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੋਲਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
keemat koe na jaanee ko naahee tolanahaar |
No one can know His Value; no one can weigh it.
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸਿ ਰਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਹੀ ਸੁਮਾਰੁ ॥
man tan antar vas rahe naanak nahee sumaar |
He dwells deep within the mind and body. O Nanak, He cannot be measured.
ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੰਉ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥੨॥
din rain ji prabh knau sevade tin kai sad balihaar |2|
I am forever a sacrifice to those who serve God, day and night. ||2||
ਸੰਤ ਅਰਾਧਨਿ ਸਦ ਸਦਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਬਖਸਿੰਦੁ ॥
sant araadhan sad sadaa sabhanaa kaa bakhasind |
The Saints worship and adore Him forever and ever; He is the Forgiver of all.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਿਤੀਨੁ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥
jeeo pindd jin saajiaa kar kirapaa diteen jind |
He fashioned the soul and the body, and by His Kindness, He bestowed the soul.
ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਆਰਾਧੀਐ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੰਤੁ ॥
gurasabadee aaraadheeai japeeai niramal mant |
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, worship and adore Him, and chant His Pure Mantra.
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰੁ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ॥
keemat kehan na jaaeeai paramesur beant |
His Value cannot be evaluated. The Transcendent Lord is endless.
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਨਰਾਇਣੋ ਸੋ ਕਹੀਐ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥
jis man vasai naraaeino so kaheeai bhagavant |
That one, within whose mind the Lord abides, is said to be most fortunate.
ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਲੋਚਾ ਪੂਰੀਐ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੰਤੁ ॥
jeea kee lochaa pooreeai milai suaamee kant |
The soul's desires are fulfilled, upon meeting the Master, our Husband Lord.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਜਪਿ ਹਰੀ ਦੋਖ ਸਭੇ ਹੀ ਹੰਤੁ ॥
naanak jeevai jap haree dokh sabhe hee hant |
Nanak lives by chanting the Lord's Name; all sorrows have been erased.
ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸੋ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੰਤੁ ॥੩॥
din rain jis na visarai so hariaa hovai jant |3|
One who does not forget Him, day and night, is continually rejuvenated. ||3||
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੂਰਣੋ ਮੰਞੁ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਥਾਉ ॥
sarab kalaa prabh poorano many nimaanee thaau |
God is overflowing with all powers. I have no honor-He is my resting place.
ਹਰਿ ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰੇ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨਾਉ ॥
har ott gahee man andare jap jap jeevaan naau |
I have grasped the Support of the Lord within my mind; I live by chanting and meditating on His Name.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਨ ਧੂੜੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥
kar kirapaa prabh aapanee jan dhoorree sang samaau |
Grant Your Grace, God, and bless me, that I may merge into the dust of the feet of the humble.
ਜਿਉ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਰਹਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਪੈਨਾ ਖਾਉ ॥
jiau toon raakheh tiau rahaa teraa ditaa painaa khaau |
As You keep me, so do I live. I wear and eat whatever You give me.
ਉਦਮੁ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
audam soee karaae prabh mil saadhoo gun gaau |
May I make the effort, O God, to sing Your Glorious Praises in the Company of the Holy.
ਦੂਜੀ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਕਿਥੈ ਕੂਕਣ ਜਾਉ ॥
doojee jaae na sujhee kithai kookan jaau |
I can conceive of no other place; where could I go to lodge a complaint?
ਅਗਿਆਨ ਬਿਨਾਸਨ ਤਮ ਹਰਣ ਊਚੇ ਅਗਮ ਅਮਾਉ ॥
agiaan binaasan tam haran aooche agam amaau |
You are the Dispeller of ignorance, the Destroyer of darkness, O Lofty, Unfathomable and Unapproachable Lord.
ਮਨੁ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲੀਐ ਨਾਨਕ ਏਹੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥
man vichhurriaa har meleeai naanak ehu suaau |
Please unite this separated one with Yourself; this is Nanak's yearning.
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣਾ ਤਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਰਸੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਾਉ ॥੪॥੧॥
sarab kaliaanaa tith din har parasee gur ke paau |4|1|
That day shall bring every joy, O Lord, when I take to the Feet of the Guru. ||4||1||

BRIDH NARAAJ STANZA
ਅਨਾਦਿ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਆਦਿ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਕੋ ਮਨਾਈਐ ॥
anaad agaadh biaadh aad anaad ko manaaeeai |
He is Beginningless, Unfathomable and Source of all beings that Beginningless Lord be worshipped.
ਅਗੰਜ ਅਭੰਜ ਅਰੰਜ ਅਗੰਜ ਗੰਜ ਕਉ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥
aganj abhanj aranj aganj ganj kau dhiaaeeai |
He is Indestructible, Unbreakable, griefless and Inexhaustible teasure, He should be meditated upon.
ਅਲੇਖ ਅਭੇਖ ਅਦ੍ਵੈਖ ਅਰੇਖ ਅਸੇਖ ਕੋ ਪਛਾਨੀਐ ॥
alekh abhekh advaikh arekh asekh ko pachhaaneeai |
He is accountless, guiseless, without blemish, without mark nd without a remander, He should be recognized.
ਨ ਭੂਲ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਭਰਮ ਭੇਖ ਠਾਨੀਐ ॥੧॥੧੦੪॥
n bhool jantr tantr mantr bharam bhekh tthaaneeai |1|104|
Even by mistake He should not be considered in Yantras, tantrasa, mantras, illusions and guises.1.104.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਲਾਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਕੋ ਉਚਾਰੀਐ ॥
kripaal laal akaal apaal deaal ko uchaareeai |
The Name of that Lord be uttered who is Merciful, Beloved, deathless, Patronless and Compassionate.
ਅਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਭਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਮੈ ਬਿਚਾਰੀਐ ॥
adharam karam dharam bharam karam mai bichaareeai |
We should reflect upon Him in all works whether irreligious, or fallacious.
ਅਨੰਤ ਦਾਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਪੇਖੀਐ ॥
anant daan dhiaan giaan dhiaanavaan pekheeai |
We should visualize Him in Infinite charities, in contemplation, in knowledge and in those who contemplate.
ਅਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਕੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਲੇਖੀਐ ॥੨॥੧੦੫॥
adharam karam ke binaa su dharam karam lekheeai |2|105|
Forsaking the irreligious Karms, we should comprehend the Karms that are religious and spiritual.2.105.
ਬ੍ਰਤਾਦਿ ਦਾਨ ਸੰਜਮਾਦਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਦੇਵ ਕਰਮਣੰ ॥
brataad daan sanjamaad teerath dev karamanan |
The Karmas which come in the categories of fasts etc., charities, restraints etc., bathing at pilgrim-stations and worship of gods
ਹੈ ਆਦਿ ਕੁੰਜਮੇਦ ਰਾਜਸੂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨ ਭਰਮਣੰ ॥
hai aad kunjamed raajasoo binaa na bharamanan |
Which are to be performed without illusion including the horse-sacrifice, elephant-sacrifice and Rajsu sacrifice performed by a universal monarch
ਨਿਵਲ ਆਦਿ ਕਰਮ ਭੇਖ ਅਨੇਕ ਭੇਖ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥
nival aad karam bhekh anek bhekh maaneeai |
And the Neoli Karma of Yogis (cleansing of intestines) etc., may all be considered as Karmas of various sects and guises.
ਅਦੇਖ ਭੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁ ਕਰਮ ਭਰਮ ਜਾਨੀਐ ॥੩॥੧੦੬॥
adekh bhekh ke binaa su karam bharam jaaneeai |3|106|
In the absence of the pure Karmas related to the Invisible Lord, all the other Karmas he considered as illusion and hyposcrisy.3.106.
ਅਜਾਤ ਪਾਤ ਅਮਾਤ ਤਾਤ ਅਜਾਤ ਸਿਧ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ॥
ajaat paat amaat taat ajaat sidh hai sadaa |
He is without caste and lineage, without mother and father He is Unborn and ever perfect.
ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਪਉਤ੍ਰ ਜਤ੍ਰ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਸਰਬਦਾ ॥
asatr mitr putr pautr jatr tatr sarabadaa |
He is without enemy and friend, without son and grandson and He is always everywhere.
ਅਖੰਡ ਮੰਡ ਚੰਡ ਉਦੰਡ ਅਖੰਡ ਖੰਡ ਭਾਖੀਐ ॥
akhandd mandd chandd udandd akhandd khandd bhaakheeai |
He is Supremely Glorious and is called the crusher and breaker of the Unbreakable.
ਨ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਰੇਖ ਅਲੇਖ ਭੇਖ ਮੈ ਨ ਰਾਖੀਐ ॥੪॥੧੦੭॥
n roop rang rekh alekh bhekh mai na raakheeai |4|107|
He cannot be placed in the garb of form, colour, mark and calculation.4.107.
ਅਨੰਤ ਤੀਰਥ ਆਦਿ ਆਸਨਾਦਿ ਨਾਰਦ ਆਸਨੰ ॥
anant teerath aad aasanaad naarad aasanan |
Bathing at innumerable pilgrim-stations etc., adopting various postures etc., following the discipline of worship according to Narad Pancharatra
ਬੈਰਾਗ ਅਉ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਅਉ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਜੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਾਸਨੰ ॥
bairaag aau saniaas aau anaad jog praasanan |
Adoption of Vairagya (monasticism and asceticlism) and Sannyas (renunciation) and observing yogic discipline of olden times:
ਅਨਾਦਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਸੰਜਮਾਦਿ ਬਰਤ ਨੇਮ ਪੇਖੀਐ ॥
anaad teerath sanjamaad barat nem pekheeai |
