ਮੋਹਨ ਘਰਿ ਆਵਹੁ ਕਰਉ ਜੋਦਰੀਆ ॥
mohan ghar aavahu krau jodareea |
O my Fascinating Lord, I pray to You: come into my house.
ਮਾਨੁ ਕਰਉ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੈ ਬੋਲਉ ਭੂਲ ਚੂਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਚਿਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
maan krau abhimaanai bolau bhool chook teree pria chireea |1| rahaau |
I act in pride, and speak in pride. I am mistaken and wrong, but I am still Your hand-maiden, O my Beloved. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿਕਟਿ ਸੁਨਉ ਅਰੁ ਪੇਖਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਰਮਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਦੁਖ ਭਰੀਆ ॥
nikatt sunau ar pekhau naahee bharam bharam dukh bhareea |
I hear that You are near, but I cannot see You. I wander in suffering, deluded by doubt.
ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੁਰ ਲਾਹਿ ਪਾਰਦੋ ਮਿਲਉ ਲਾਲ ਮਨੁ ਹਰੀਆ ॥੧॥
hoe kripaal gur laeh paarado milau laal man hareea |1|
The Guru has become merciful to me; He has removed the veils. Meeting with my Beloved, my mind blossoms forth in abundance. ||1||
ਏਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਜੇ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਾਨਉ ਕੋਟਿ ਦਿਨਸ ਲਖ ਬਰੀਆ ॥
ek nimakh je bisarai suaamee jaanau kott dinas lakh bareea |
If I were to forget my Lord and Master, even for an instant, it would be like millions of days, tens of thousands of years.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਭੀਰ ਜਉ ਪਾਈ ਤਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਰੀਆ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੪॥
saadhasangat kee bheer jau paaee tau naanak har sang mireea |2|1|24|
When I joined the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O Nanak, I met my Lord. ||2||1||24||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਅਬ ਕਿਆ ਸੋਚਉ ਸੋਚ ਬਿਸਾਰੀ ॥
ab kiaa sochau soch bisaaree |
Now what should I think? I have given up thinking.
ਕਰਣਾ ਸਾ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karanaa saa soee kar rahiaa dehi naau balihaaree |1| rahaau |
You do whatever You wish to do. Please bless me with Your Name - I am a sacrifice to You. ||1||Pause||
ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸ ਫੂਲਿ ਰਹੀ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮੂਖਿ ਗਰੁੜਾਰੀ ॥
chahu dis fool rahee bikhiaa bikh gur mantru mookh garurraaree |
The poison of corruption is flowering forth in the four directions; I have taken the GurMantra as my antidote.
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਕਮਲਾ ਅਲਿਪਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
haath dee raakhio kar apunaa jiau jal kamalaa alipaaree |1|
Giving me His Hand, He has saved me as His Own; like the lotus in the water, I remain unattached. ||1||
ਹਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਸਾ ਸਭ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
hau naahee kichh mai kiaa hosaa sabh tum hee kal dhaaree |
I am nothing. What am I? You hold all in Your Power.
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਛੈ ਰਾਖੁ ਸੰਤ ਸਦਕਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੫॥
naanak bhaag pario har paachhai raakh sant sadakaaree |2|2|25|
Nanak has run to Your Sanctuary, Lord; please save him, for the sake of Your Saints. ||2||2||25||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਉਪਾਵ ਬਿਰਕਾਤੇ ॥
ab mohi sarab upaav birakaate |
Now I have abandoned all efforts and devices.
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karan kaaran samarath suaamee har ekas te meree gaate |1| rahaau |
My Lord and Master is the All-powerful Creator, the Cause of causes, my only Saving Grace. ||1||Pause||
ਦੇਖੇ ਨਾਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗਾ ਅਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਭਾਂਤੇ ॥
dekhe naanaa roop bahu rangaa an naahee tum bhaante |
I have seen numerous forms of incomparable beauty, but nothing is like You.
ਦੇਂਹਿ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਉ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥
denhi adhaar sarab kau tthaakur jeea praan sukhadaate |1|
You give Your Support to all, O my Lord and Master; You are the Giver of peace, of the soul and the breath of life. ||1||
ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਹਾਰਿ ਜਉ ਪਰਿਓ ਤਉ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤੇ ॥
bhramatau bhramatau haar jau pario tau gur mil charan paraate |
Wandering, wandering, I grew so tired; meeting the Guru, I fell at His Feet.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੈ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਇਹ ਸੂਖਿ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੬॥
kahu naanak mai sarab sukh paaeaa ih sookh bihaanee raate |2|3|26|
Says Nanak, I have found total peace; this life-night of mine passes in peace. ||2||3||26||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਲਬਧਿਓ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕਾ ॥
ab mohi labadhio hai har ttekaa |
Now I have found the Support of my Lord.
ਗੁਰ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਅੰਧੁਲੈ ਮਾਣਿਕੁ ਦੇਖਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur deaal bhe sukhadaaee andhulai maanik dekhaa |1| rahaau |
The Guru, the Giver of peace, has become merciful to me. I was blind - I see the jewel of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਟੇ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਤਿਮਰ ਨਿਰਮਲੀਆ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਗਾਸ ਬਿਬੇਕਾ ॥
kaatte agiaan timar niramaleea budh bigaas bibekaa |
I have cut away the darkness of ignorance and become immaculate; my discriminationg intellect has blossomed forth.
ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਫੇਨੁ ਜਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਏ ਏਕਾ ॥੧॥
jiau jal tarang fen jal hoee hai sevak tthaakur bhe ekaa |1|
As the waves of water and the foam become water again, the Lord and His servant become One. ||1||
ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਠਿਓ ਤਹ ਹੀ ਆਇਓ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਏਕੈ ਏਕਾ ॥
jeh te utthio teh hee aaeo sabh hee ekai ekaa |
He is taken in again, into what from which he came; all is one in the One Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਆਇਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਪਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਮਕਾ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੭॥
naanak drisatt aaeo srab tthaaee praanapatee har samakaa |2|4|27|
O Nanak, I have come to see the Master of the breath of life, all-pervading everywhere. ||2||4||27||

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਏਕੈ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮਾਂਗੈ ॥
meraa man ekai hee pria maangai |
My mind longs for the One Beloved Lord.
ਪੇਖਿ ਆਇਓ ਸਰਬ ਥਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੋਮ ਨ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
pekh aaeo sarab thaan des pria rom na samasar laagai |1| rahaau |
I have looked everywhere in every country, but nothing equals even a hair of my Beloved. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈ ਨੀਰੇ ਅਨਿਕ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਹੁ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਕਰੈ ਰੁਚਾਂਗੈ ॥
mai neere anik bhojan bahu binjan tin siau drisatt na karai ruchaangai |
All sorts of delicacies and dainties are placed before me, but I do not even want to look at them.
ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਮੁਖਿ ਟੇਰੈ ਜਿਉ ਅਲਿ ਕਮਲਾ ਲੋਭਾਂਗੈ ॥੧॥
har ras chaahai pria pria mukh tterai jiau al kamalaa lobhaangai |1|
I long for the sublime essence of the Lord, calling, "Pri-o! Pri-o! - Beloved! Beloved!", like the Bumble bee longing for the lotus flower. ||1||
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਲਾਲਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਸਰਬਾਂਗੈ ॥
gun nidhaan manamohan laalan sukhadaaee sarabaangai |
The Treasure of Virtue, the Enticer of the mind, my Beloved is the Giver of peace to all.
ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਹਿ ਪਠਾਇਓ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸਖਾ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੨੮॥
gur naanak prabh paeh patthaaeo milahu sakhaa gal laagai |2|5|28|
Guru Nanak has led me to You, O God. Join with me, O my Best Friend, and hold me close in Your Embrace. ||2||5||28||

ਵਹੈ ਚਾਹਿਯਤ ਪਕਰਿ ਸੰਘਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੦॥

ਅਸ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਭਜਤ ਭੀ ਜਾ ਕੋ ॥
as triy pratham bhajat bhee jaa ko |
ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਨਿ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ਤਾ ਕੋ ॥
eih charitr pun maariyo taa ko |
ਇਨ ਅਬਲਨ ਕੀ ਰੀਤਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
ein abalan kee reet apaaraa |
ਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਆਵਤ ਵਾਰ ਨ ਪਾਰਾ ॥੧੧॥

ਤਾ ਕੇ ਏਕ ਦਾਸ ਘਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
taa ke ek daas ghar maahee |
ਜਿਹ ਸਮ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਬਰਨ ਕਹੂੰ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
jih sam sayaam baran kahoon naahee |
ਨਾਮਾਫਿਕ ਸੰਖ︀ਯਾ ਤਿਹ ਰਹੈ ॥
naamaafik sankhayaa tih rahai |
ਮਾਨੁਖ ਜੋਨਿ ਕਵਨ ਤਿਹ ਕਹੈ ॥੨॥
maanukh jon kavan tih kahai |2|
ਚੇਰੀ ਏਕ ਹੁਤੀ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰਤਿ ॥
cheree ek hutee taa sau rat |
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹੁਤੀ ਨ ਕਛੁ ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਮਤਿ ॥
jaa ke hutee na kachh ghatt meh mat |
ਨਾਮਾਫਿਕ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਰਿ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
naamaafik tin naar bulaayo |
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਮਨ ਖੋਲਿ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥੩॥
kaam bhog man khol machaayo |3|
ਤਬ ਲਗਿ ਆਇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਗਯੋ ਤਹਾ ॥
tab lag aae nripat gayo tahaa |
ਚੇਰੀ ਰਮਤ ਦਾਸਿ ਸੰਗ ਜਹਾ ॥
cheree ramat daas sang jahaa |
ਲਟਪਟਾਇ ਦਾਸੀ ਤਬ ਗਈ ॥
lattapattaae daasee tab gee |
ਚਟਪਟ ਜਾਤ ਸਕਲ ਸੁਧਿ ਭਈ ॥੪॥
chattapatt jaat sakal sudh bhee |4|
ਜਤਨ ਅਵਰ ਕਛੁ ਹਾਥ ਨ ਆਯੋ ॥
jatan avar kachh haath na aayo |
ਮਾਰਿ ਦਾਸ ਉਲਟੋ ਲਟਕਾਯੋ ॥
maar daas ulatto lattakaayo |
ਹਰੇ ਹਰੇ ਤਰ ਆਗਿ ਜਰਾਈ ॥
hare hare tar aag jaraaee |
ਕਾਢਤ ਹੈ ਜਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਮਿਯਾਈ ॥੫॥
kaadtat hai jan kar mimiyaaee |5|
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਜਬ ਦਾਸ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
nripat mritak jab daas nihaaraa |
ਅਦਭੁਦ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
adabhud hvai ih bhaat uchaaraa |
ਕ︀ਯੋ ਇਹ ਹਨਿ ਤੈ ਦਿਯ ਲਟਕਾਈ ॥
kayo ih han tai diy lattakaaee |
ਕਿਹ ਕਾਰਨ ਤਰ ਆਗਿ ਜਰਾਈ ॥੬॥
