ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਮਨ ਕਹਾ ਲੁਭਾਈਐ ਆਨ ਕਉ ॥
man kahaa lubhaaeeai aan kau |
O my mind, why are you lured away by otherness?
ਈਤ ਊਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਜੀਅ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਾਮ ਕਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
eet aoot prabh sadaa sahaaee jeea sang tere kaam kau |1| rahaau |
Here and hereafter, God is forever your Help and Support. He is your soul-mate; He will help you succeed. ||1||Pause||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਇਹੈ ਅਘਾਵਨ ਪਾਂਨ ਕਉ ॥
amrit naam pria preet manohar ihai aghaavan paan kau |
The Name of your Beloved Lover, the Fascinating Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar. Drinking it in, you shall find satisfaction.
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਠਾਹਰ ਨੀਕੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਉ ॥੧॥
akaal moorat hai saadh santan kee tthaahar neekee dhiaan kau |1|
The Being of Immortal Manifestation is found in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Meditate on Him in that most sublime place. ||1||
ਬਾਣੀ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਹਿ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਮਾਂਨ ਕਉ ॥
baanee mantru mahaa purakhan kee maneh utaaran maan kau |
The Bani, the Word of the Supreme Lord God, is the greatest Mantra of all. It eradicates pride from the mind.
ਖੋਜਿ ਲਹਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਥਾਨਾਂ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਕਉ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੦॥
khoj lahio naanak sukh thaanaan har naamaa bisraam kau |2|1|20|
Searching, Nanak found the home of peace and bliss in the Name of the Lord. ||2||1||20||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗਾਇ ॥
man sadaa mangal gobind gaae |
O my mind, sing forever the Songs of Joy of the Lord of the Universe.
ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਅਘ ਨਿਮਖ ਹੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rog sog tere mitteh sagal agh nimakh heeai har naam dhiaae |1| rahaau |
All your disease, sorrow and sin will be erased, if you meditate on the Lord's Name, even for an instant. ||1||Pause||
ਛੋਡਿ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਬਹੁ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਰਣੀ ਜਾਇ ਪਾਇ ॥
chhodd siaanap bahu chaturaaee saadhoo saranee jaae paae |
Abandon all your clever tricks; go and enter the Sanctuary of the Holy.
ਜਉ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਹੋਵੈ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ॥੧॥
jau hoe kripaal deen dukh bhanjan jam te hovai dharam raae |1|
When the Lord, the Destroyer of the pains of the poor becomes merciful, the Messenger of Death is changed into the Righteous Judge of Dharma. ||1||
ਏਕਸ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਆਨ ਨ ਬੀਓ ਲਵੈ ਲਾਇ ॥
ekas bin naahee ko doojaa aan na beeo lavai laae |
Without the One Lord, there is no other at all. No one else can equal Him.
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਭਾਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੋ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸਾਇ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੧॥
maat pitaa bhaaee naanak ko sukhadaataa har praan saae |2|2|21|
The Lord is Nanak's Mother, Father and Sibling, the Giver of Peace, his Breath of Life. ||2||2||21||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਕੇ ॥
har jan sagal udhaare sang ke |
The Lord's humble servant saves those who accompany him.
ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਮਨ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhe puneet pavitr man janam janam ke dukh hare |1| rahaau |
Their minds are sanctified and rendered pure, and they are rid of the pains of countless incarnations. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨੑੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨੑ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਸੇ ਤਰੇ ॥
maarag chale tinaee sukh paaeaa jina siau gosatt se tare |
Those who walk on the path find peace; they are saved, along with those who speak with them.
ਬੂਡਤ ਘੋਰ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥੧॥
booddat ghor andh koop meh te saadhoo sang paar pare |1|
Even those who are drowning in the horrible, deep dark pit are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
ਜਿਨੑ ਕੇ ਭਾਗ ਬਡੇ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਨੑ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੁਖ ਜੁਰੇ ॥
jina ke bhaag badde hai bhaaee tina saadhoo sang mukh jure |
Those who have such high destiny turn their faces toward the Saadh Sangat.
ਤਿਨੑ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੨॥
tina kee dhoor baanchhai nit naanak prabh meraa kirapaa kare |2|3|22|
Nanak longs for the dust of their feet; O God, please shower Your Mercy on me! ||2||3||22||

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਧਿਆਂਏ ॥
har jan raam raam raam dhiaane |
The humble servant of the Lord meditates on the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam.
ਏਕ ਪਲਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਧ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕੋਟਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਹ ਪਾਂਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ek palak sukh saadh samaagam kott baikuntthah paane |1| rahaau |
One who enjoys peace in the Company of the Holy, even for an instant, obtains millions of heavenly paradises. ||1||Pause||
ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਜਪਿ ਹੋਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ॥
dulabh deh jap hot puneetaa jam kee traas nivaarai |
This human body, so difficult to obtain, is sanctified by meditating on the Lord. It takes away the fear of death.
ਮਹਾ ਪਤਿਤ ਕੇ ਪਾਤਿਕ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
mahaa patit ke paatik utareh har naamaa ur dhaarai |1|
Even the sins of terrible sinners are washed away, by cherishing the Lord's Name within the heart. ||1||
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੁਨੈ ਰਾਮ ਜਸੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸਾ ॥
jo jo sunai raam jas niramal taa kaa janam maran dukh naasaa |
Whoever listens to the Immaculate Praises of the Lord - his pains of birth and death are dispelled.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗਂੀ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਹੋਇ ਬਿਗਾਸਾ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੩॥
kahu naanak paaeeai vaddabhaaganee man tan hoe bigaasaa |2|4|23|
Says Nanak, the Lord is found by great good fortune, and then the mind and body blossom forth. ||2||4||23||

sukrit manjaree tih kee daaraa |
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਦੇਵ ਨ ਦੇਵ ਕੁਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
jaa sam dev na dev kumaaraa |1|
ਅਤਿਭੁਤ ਸੈਨ ਸਾਹੁ ਸੁਤ ਇਕ ਤਹ ॥
atibhut sain saahu sut ik tah |
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਨ ਉਪਜ︀ਯੋ ਮਹਿ ਮਹ ॥
jaa sam dutiy na upajayo meh mah |
ਜਗਮਗਾਤ ਤਿਹ ਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
jagamagaat tih roop apaaraa |
ਜਿਹ ਸਮ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਨ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੁਮਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
jih sam indr na chandr kumaaraa |2|
ਰਾਨੀ ਅਟਕਿ ਤਵਨ ਪਰ ਗਈ ॥
raanee attak tavan par gee |
ਤਿਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾਤਿ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਿ ਭਈ ॥
tih grih jaat aap chal bhee |
ਤਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਕਪਟ ਤਜਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
taa so preet kapatt taj laagee |
ਛੂਟੋ ਕਹਾ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਜਾਗੀ ॥੩॥
chhootto kahaa anokhee jaagee |3|
ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਨਾ ॥
bahu bidh tin sang bhog kamaanaa |
ਕੇਲ ਕਰਤ ਬਹੁ ਕਾਲ ਬਿਹਾਨਾ ॥
kel karat bahu kaal bihaanaa |
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਔਰ ਤਹਾ ਇਕ ਆਯੋ ॥
sundar aauar tahaa ik aayo |
ਵਹੈ ਪੁਰਖ ਰਾਨੀ ਕਹਲਾਯੋ ॥੪॥
vahai purakh raanee kahalaayo |4|
ਵਹੈ ਪੁਰਖ ਰਾਨੀ ਕਹ ਭਾਇਸਿ ॥
vahai purakh raanee keh bhaaeis |
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਬੋਲਿ ਕਮਾਇਸਿ ॥
kaam kel grih bol kamaaeis |
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਤਬ ਆਯੋ ॥
pratham mitr tih tthaa tab aayo |
ਰਮਤ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰਾਨੀ ਕੁਰਰਾਯੋ ॥੫॥
ramat nirakh raanee kuraraayo |5|
ਅਧਿਕ ਕੋਪ ਕਰਿ ਖੜਗੁ ਨਿਕਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
adhik kop kar kharrag nikaariyo |
ਰਾਨੀ ਰਾਖਿ ਜਾਰ ਕਹ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
raanee raakh jaar keh maariyo |
ਆਪੁ ਭਾਜ ਪੁਨਿ ਤਹ ਤੇ ਗਯੋ ॥
aap bhaaj pun teh te gayo |
ਤੇਜ ਭਏ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੋ ਤਨ ਤਯੋ ॥੬॥
tej bhe triy ko tan tayo |6|
ਲਿਖਿ ਪਤਿਯਾ ਅਸਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
likh patiyaa as taeh patthaaee |
ਤੋਹਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਤਜਾ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
tohi mitr muhi tajaa na jaaee |
ਛਿਮਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਇਹ ਭੂਲਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
chhimaa karahu ih bhool hamaaree |
ਅਬ ਦਾਸੀ ਮੈ ਭਈ ਤਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੭॥
ab daasee mai bhee tihaaree |7|
ਜੌ ਆਗੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਐਸ ਨਿਹਰਿਯਹੁ ॥
jau aage fir ais nihariyahu |
ਮੋਹੂ ਸਹਿਤ ਮਾਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਡਰਿਯਹੁ ॥
mohoo sahit maar tih ddariyahu |
ਭਲਾ ਕਿਯਾ ਤੁਮ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੰਘਾਰਾ ॥
bhalaa kiyaa tum taeh sanghaaraa |
ਆਗੇ ਰਾਹ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੁਹਿ ਡਾਰਾ ॥੮॥
