ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਪਰਪਰਾ ॥
har har agam agaadh aparanpar aparaparaa |
The Lord, Har, Har, is Inaccessible, Unfathomable, Infinite, the Farthest of the Far.
ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਭਉ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਰਾ ॥
jo tum dhiaaveh jagadees te jan bhau bikham taraa |
Those who meditate on You, O Lord of the Universe - those humble beings cross over the terrifying, treacherous world-ocean.
ਬਿਖਮ ਭਉ ਤਿਨ ਤਰਿਆ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
bikham bhau tin tariaa suhelaa jin har har naam dhiaaeaa |
Those who meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, easily cross over the terrifying, treacherous world-ocean.
ਗੁਰ ਵਾਕਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੋ ਭਾਇ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
gur vaak satigur jo bhaae chale tin har har aap milaaeaa |
Those who lovingly walk in harmony with the Word of the Guru, the True Guru - the Lord, Har, Har, unites them with Himself.
ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਧਰਣੀਧਰਾ ॥
jotee jot mil jot samaanee har kripaa kar dharaneedharaa |
The mortal's light meets the Light of God, and blends with that Divine Light when the Lord, the Support of the Earth, grants His Grace.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਪਰਪਰਾ ॥੧॥

ਤੁਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੂ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥
tum suaamee agam athaah too ghatt ghatt poor rahiaa |
O my Lord and Master, You are Inaccessible and Unfathomable. You are totally pervading and permeating each and every heart.
ਤੂ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਉ ਅਗੰਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਲਹਿਆ ॥
too alakh abheo agam gur satigur bachan lahiaa |
You are Unseen, Unknowable and Unfathomable; You are found through the Word of the Guru, the True Guru.
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰੇ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਵੇ ॥
dhan dhan te jan purakh poore jin gur santasangat mil gun rave |
Blessed, blessed are those humble, powerful and perfect people, who join the Guru's Sangat, the Society of the Saints, and chant His Glorious Praises.
ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਤ ਚਵੇ ॥
bibek budh beechaar guramukh gur sabad khin khin har nit chave |
With clear and precise understanding, the Gurmukhs contemplate the Guru's Shabad; each and every instant, they continually speak of the Lord.
ਜਾ ਬਹਹਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਜਾ ਖੜੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ॥
jaa baheh guramukh har naam boleh jaa kharre guramukh har har kahiaa |
When the Gurmukh sits down, he chants the Lord's Name. When the Gurmukh stands up, he chants the Lord's Name, Har, Har.
ਤੁਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹ ਤੂ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥੨॥
tum suaamee agam athaah too ghatt ghatt poor rahiaa |2|
O my Lord and Master, You are Inaccessible and Unfathomable. You are totally pervading and permeating each and every heart. ||2||
ਸੇਵਕ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜਿਨ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰੇ ॥
sevak jan seveh te paravaan jin seviaa guramat hare |
Those humble servants who serve are accepted. They serve the Lord, and follow the Guru's Teachings.
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕੋਟਿ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਪ ਖਿਨੁ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰੇ ॥
tin ke kott sabh paap khin parahar har door kare |
All their millions of sins are taken away in an instant; the Lord takes them far away.
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੋਖ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਇਕੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ॥
tin ke paap dokh sabh binase jin man chit ik araadhiaa |
All their sin and blame is washed away. They worship and adore the One Lord with their conscious minds.
ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਫਲਿਓ ਸਭੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਤੈ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਸਚੁ ਭਾਖਿਆ ॥
tin kaa janam safalio sabh keea karatai jin gur bachanee sach bhaakhiaa |
The Creator makes fruitful the lives of all those who, through the Guru's Word, chant the True Name.
ਤੇ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਨ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੂਰੇ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਭਉ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਰੇ ॥
te dhan jan vadd purakh poore jo guramat har jap bhau bikham tare |
Blessed are those humble beings, those great and perfect people, who follow the Guru's Teachings and meditate on the Lord; they cross over the terrifying and treacherous world-ocean.
ਸੇਵਕ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜਿਨ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰੇ ॥੩॥
sevak jan seveh te paravaan jin seviaa guramat hare |3|
Those humble servants who serve are accepted. They follow the Guru's Teachings, and serve the Lord. ||3||
ਤੂ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਜਿਉ ਤੂ ਚਲਾਵਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਉ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾ ॥
too antarajaamee har aap jiau too chalaaveh piaare hau tivai chalaa |
You Yourself, Lord, are the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; as You make me walk, O my Beloved, so do I walk.
ਹਮਰੈ ਹਾਥਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਜਾ ਤੂ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਤਾ ਹਉ ਆਇ ਮਿਲਾ ॥
hamarai haath kichh naeh jaa too meleh taa hau aae milaa |
Nothing is in my hands; when You unite me, then I come to be united.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਤੂ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਛੁਟਕਿ ਗਇਆ ॥
jin kau too har meleh suaamee sabh tin kaa lekhaa chhuttak geaa |
Those whom You unite with Yourself, O my Lord and Master - all their accounts are settled.
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਗਣਤ ਨ ਕਰਿਅਹੁ ਕੋ ਭਾਈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਇਆ ॥
tin kee ganat na kariahu ko bhaaee jo gur bachanee har mel leaa |
No one can go through the accounts of those, O Siblings of Destiny, who through the Word of the Guru's Teachings are united with the Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਤਿਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਭਲਾ ॥
naanak deaal hoaa tin aoopar jin gur kaa bhaanaa maniaa bhalaa |
O Nanak, the Lord shows Mercy to those who accept the Guru's Will as good.
ਤੂ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਜਿਉ ਤੂ ਚਲਾਵਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਉ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾ ॥੪॥੨॥

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਰਤਿ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
bhaat bhaat taa kau rat keenee |
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜੜ ਧੁਨਿ ਘੰਟਾ ਕੀ ਚੀਨੀ ॥
nrip jarr dhun ghanttaa kee cheenee |
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਛੂ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed kachhoo neh paayo |
ਇਹ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕਸ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥੧੨॥
eih duhitaa kas karam kamaayo |12|
ਤਾ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
taa sau bhog bahut bidh keeno |
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਆਸਨ ਕਹ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
lapatt lapatt aasan keh deeno |
ਚੁੰਬਨ ਆਲਿੰਗਨ ਕੀਨੇ ਤਿਨ ॥
chunban aalingan keene tin |
ਭੇਦ ਨ ਲਹਿਯੋ ਮੂੜ ਰਾਜੈ ਇਨ ॥੧੩॥
bhed na lahiyo moorr raajai in |13|
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਬਹੁ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
kaam kel taa sau bahu kiyo |
ਬਹੁਰੋ ਛੋਰ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਕਹ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
bahuro chhor dvaar keh diyo |
ਪਠੈ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੁਲਾਇਯੋ ॥
patthai sahacharee pitaa bulaaeiyo |
ਮਨ ਮੈ ਅਧਿਕ ਜਾਰ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੧੪॥
man mai adhik jaar dukh paayo |14|
ਯਾ ਕੌ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਲੈਹੈ ॥
yaa kau pitaa mohi geh laihai |
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਹਮੈ ਜਮਪੁਰੀ ਪਠੈਹੈ ॥

ਚਿੰਤਾਤੁਰ ਥਰਹਰਿ ਕੰਪਾਵੈ ॥

ਹਮ ਪਰ ਅਧਿਕ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹ ਕੀਨੋ ॥੧੮॥

ਚਲਹੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਹ ਤਾਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਊ ॥

ਤਾ ਸੌ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸੁ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਕਰਾਊ ॥
taa sau bahur su bayaah karaaoo |
ਬਾਹਿ ਪਕਰਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੌ ਲ︀ਯਾਈ ॥
baeh pakar raajaa kau layaaee |
ਆਨਿ ਜਾਰ ਸੌ ਦਿਯੋ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੧੯॥

ਕਰ ਸੌ ਕਰਿ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕੌ ਗਹਿਯੋ ॥
kar sau kar duhitaa kau gahiyo |
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਟਾਛ ਅਧਿਕ ਸਿਵ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
kripaa kattaachh adhik siv keeno |
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਰ ਉਤਮ ਤੁਹਿ ਦੀਨੋ ॥੨੦॥
taa te bar utam tuhi deeno |20|
ਤੁਮ ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਜੁ ਸਿਵ ਜੂ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
tum par kripaa ju siv joo keenee |
ਹਮਹੂੰ ਆਜੁ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁਹਿ ਦੀਨੀ ॥
hamahoon aaj taeh tuhi deenee |
ਬੋਲਿ ਦਿਜਨ ਕਹ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਕਰਾਯੋ ॥
bol dijan keh bayaah karaayo |
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਮੂੜ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੨੧॥

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਲਜਾਰ ਮਤੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਤਿਹ ॥
