One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
jis no prem man vasaae |
One whose mind is filled with the Lord's Love,
ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
saachai sabad sehaj subhaae |
is intuitively exalted by the True Word of the Shabad.
ਏਹਾ ਵੇਦਨ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਕਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
ehaa vedan soee jaanai avar ki jaanai kaaree jeeo |1|
He alone knows the pain of this love; what does anyone else know about its cure? ||1||
ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
aape mele aap milaae |
He Himself unites in His Union.
ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਲਾਏ ॥
aapanaa piaar aape laae |
He Himself inspires us with His Love.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਸਾਰ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
prem kee saar soee jaanai jis no nadar tumaaree jeeo |1| rahaau |
He alone appreciates the value of Your Love, upon whom You shower Your Grace, O Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਦਿਬ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਜਾਗੈ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥
dib drisatt jaagai bharam chukaae |
One whose spiritual vision is awakened - his doubt is driven out.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
gur parasaad param pad paae |
By Guru's Grace, he obtains the supreme status.
ਸੋ ਜੋਗੀ ਇਹ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
so jogee ih jugat pachhaanai gur kai sabad beechaaree jeeo |2|
He alone is a Yogi, who understands this way, and contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||2||
ਸੰਜੋਗੀ ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
sanjogee dhan pir melaa hovai |
By good destiny, the soul-bride is united with her Husband Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਖੋਵੈ ॥
guramat vichahu duramat khovai |
Following the Guru's Teachings, she eradicates her evil-mindedness from within.
ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਨਿਤ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੈ ਅਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
rang siau nit raleea maanai apane kant piaaree jeeo |3|
With love, she continually enjoys pleasure with Him; she becomes the beloved of her Husband Lord. ||3||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਵੈਦੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
satigur baajhahu vaid na koee |
Other than the True Guru, there is no physician.
ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
aape aap niranjan soee |
He Himself is the Immaculate Lord.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਮਰੈ ਮੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥
satigur miliai marai mandaa hovai giaan beechaaree jeeo |4|
Meeting with the True Guru, evil is conquered, and spiritual wisdom is contemplated. ||4||
ਏਹੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਾਰੁ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਲਾਏ ॥
ehu sabad saar jis no laae |
One who is committed to this most sublime Shabad
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
guramukh trisanaa bhukh gavaae |
becomes Gurmukh, and is rid of thirst and hunger.
ਆਪਣ ਲੀਆ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥
aapan leea kichhoo na paaeeai kar kirapaa kal dhaaree jeeo |5|
By one's own efforts, nothing can be accomplished; the Lord, in His Mercy, bestows power. ||5||
ਅਗਮ ਨਿਗਮੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
agam nigam satiguroo dikhaaeaa |
The True Guru has revealed the essence of the Shaastras and the Vedas.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੈ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
kar kirapaa apanai ghar aaeaa |
In His Mercy, He has come into the home of my self.
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥
anjan maeh niranjan jaataa jin kau nadar tumaaree jeeo |6|
In the midst of Maya, the Immaculate Lord is known, by those upon whom You bestow Your Grace. ||6||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਤਤੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
guramukh hovai so tat paae |
One who becomes Gurmukh, obtains the essence of reality;
ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪੁ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
aapanaa aap vichahu gavaae |
he eradictes his self-conceit from within.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਭੁ ਧੰਧੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਮਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੭॥
satigur baajhahu sabh dhandh kamaavai vekhahu man veechaaree jeeo |7|
Without the True Guru, all are entangled in worldly affairs; consider this in your mind, and see. ||7||
ਇਕਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥
eik bhram bhoole fireh ahankaaree |
Some are deluded by doubt; they strut around egotistically.
ਇਕਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
eikanaa guramukh haumai maaree |
Some, as Gurmukh, subdue their egotism.
ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਹੋਰਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲੇ ਗਾਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੮॥
sachai sabad rate bairaagee hor bharam bhule gaavaaree jeeo |8|
Attuned to the True Word of the Shabad, they remain detached from the world. The other ignorant fools wander, confused and deluded by doubt. ||8||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
guramukh jinee naam na paaeaa |
Those who have not become Gurmukh, and who have not found the Naam, the Name of the Lord
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
manamukh birathaa janam gavaaeaa |
those self-willed manmukhs waste their lives uselessly.
ਅਗੈ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਬੇਲੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਬੂਝੈ ਗੁਰ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੯॥
agai vin naavai ko belee naahee boojhai gur beechaaree jeeo |9|
In the world hereafter, nothing except the Name will be of any assistance; this is understood by contemplating the Guru. ||9||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
amrit naam sadaa sukhadaataa |
The Ambrosial Naam is the Giver of peace forever.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
gur poorai jug chaare jaataa |
Throughout the four ages, it is known through the Perfect Guru.
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧੦॥੧॥
jis too deveh soee paae naanak tat beechaaree jeeo |10|1|
He alone receives it, unto whom You bestow it; this is the essence of reality which Nanak has realized. ||10||1||

ਅਨਰੁਧ ਸੁਨਿ ਐਸੇ ਬਚਨ ਤਹ ਤੇ ਕਿਯੋ ਪਯਾਨ ॥
anarudh sun aise bachan teh te kiyo payaan |
Harkening to the plea, Anuradh agreed to accompany,
ਬਹਰ ਬੇਸਹਰ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਤਹਾ ਪਹੂੰਚਿਯੋ ਆਨਿ ॥੩੨॥
behar besahar ke bikhai tahaa pahoonchiyo aan |32|
And commenced journey to the city of Bushehar.(32)
ਜੋ ਪ︀ਯਾਰੋ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਬਸ︀ਯੋ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
jo payaaro chit mai basayo taeh milaavai koe |
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ਦਾਸਨ ਦਾਸੀ ਹੋਇ ॥੩੩॥
taa kee sevaa keejiyai daasan daasee hoe |33|

ਕਹੌ ਤ ਦਾਸੀ ਹੋਇ ਨੀਰ ਗਗਰੀ ਭਰਿ ਲ︀ਯਾਊ ॥
kahau ta daasee hoe neer gagaree bhar layaaoo |
(Ukha to her friend) ‘If you command, I will become your slave and fetch pitcher of water for you.
ਕਹੋ ਤਾ ਬੀਚ ਬਜਾਰ ਦਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੇਹ ਬਿਕਾਊ ॥
kaho taa beech bajaar daam bin deh bikaaoo |
‘If you command, I can sell myself for money in the bazaar.
ਭ੍ਰਿਤਨ ਭ੍ਰਿਤਨੀ ਹੋਇ ਕਹੌ ਕਾਰਜ ਸੋਊ ਕੈਹੌ ॥
bhritan bhritanee hoe kahau kaaraj soaoo kaihau |
‘If you like, you may hand me over to some body in the alms.
ਹੋ ਤਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੈ ਸਖੀ ਆਜੁ ਸਾਜਨ ਕਹ ਪੈਹੌ ॥੩੪॥
ho tavaprasaad mai sakhee aaj saajan keh paihau |34|
‘Because, due to your endeavour, I have gained my lover.(34)
ਤਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੈ ਸਖੀ ਆਜੁ ਸਾਜਨ ਕੋ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
tavaprasaad mai sakhee aaj saajan ko paayo |
‘My friend, through your benevolence, I have achieved my sweetheart.
ਤਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਹਿਤੂ ਸੋਕ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ ॥
tavaprasaad sun hitoo sok sabh hee bisaraayo |
‘Through your kindness, I have shed all my distress.
ਤਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਭੋਗ ਭਾਵਤ ਮਨ ਕਰਿਹੌ ॥
tavaprasaad sun mitr bhog bhaavat man karihau |
‘Through your generosity, I will enjoy profound lovemaking.
ਹੋ ਪੁਰੀ ਚੌਦਹੂੰ ਮਾਝ ਚੀਨਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪਤਿ ਬਰਿਹੌ ॥੩੫॥
ho puree chauadahoon maajh cheen sundar pat barihau |35|
‘And in all the fourteen regions, I have acquired an handsome mate.’(35)

ਐਸੇ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਤਵਹਿ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
aise bachan uchaar kar mitaveh liyo bulaae |
Then she called the mate,
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਿਯ ਮਨ ਭਾਵਤ ਲਪਟਾਇ ॥੩੬॥
bhaat bhaat ke bhog kiy man bhaavat lapattaae |36|
And gratified herself by making-love adopting many positions.(36)

ਆਸਨ ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਹੂੰ ਲਏ ॥
aasan chauaraasee hoon le |
ਚੁੰਬਨ ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੋ ਦਏ ॥
chunban bhaat bhaat so de |
Emoploying eighty-four poses, she kissed him variably.
ਅਤਿ ਰਤਿ ਕਰਤ ਰੈਨਿ ਬੀਤਾਈ ॥
at rat karat rain beetaaee |
ਊਖਾ ਕਾਲ ਪਹੂੰਚਿਯੋ ਆਈ ॥੩੭॥
aookhaa kaal pahoonchiyo aaee |37|
Whole night she spent love-making and Ukha realized only when it dawned.(37)
ਭੋਰ ਭਈ ਘਰ ਮੀਤਹਿ ਰਾਖਿਯੋ ॥
bhor bhee ghar meeteh raakhiyo |
ਬਾਣਾਸੁਰ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਨ ਭਾਖਿਯੋ ॥
baanaasur so pragatt na bhaakhiyo |
She kept the friend whole night in her house but Bana Soor Raja had no knowledge.
ਤਬ ਲੌ ਧੁਜਾ ਬਧੀ ਗਿਰਿ ਗਈ ॥
tab lau dhujaa badhee gir gee |
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਚਿਤ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਅਤਿ ਭਈ ॥੩੮॥
taa ko chit chintaa at bhee |38|
In the meantime the flag fell and the Raja became very apprehensive.(38)

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਸੂਰਾ ਸਭੈ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
bhaat bhaat ke sasatr lai sooraa sabhai bulaae |
He gathered all the fighters along with their weapons.
ਸਿਵ ਕੋ ਬਚਨ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਤਹਾ ਪਹੂਚਿਯੋ ਆਇ ॥੩੯॥
siv ko bachan sanbhaar kai tahaa pahoochiyo aae |39|
Remembering Shiva’s prophesy, they were mobilised there.(39)

ਜੋਰ ਅਨੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਇਤਿ ਆਯੋ ॥
jor anee raajaa it aayo |
ਉਤ ਇਨ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਕੇਲ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥
aut in mil kai kel machaayo |
Whereas the Raja was busy in mustering army, they (Ukha and the lover) were, together, revelling in sex.
ਚੌਰਾਸਿਨ ਆਸਨ ਕਹ ਲੇਹੀ ॥
chauaraasin aasan keh lehee |
ਹਸਿ ਹਸਿ ਦੋਊ ਅਲਿੰਗਨ ਦੇਹੀ ॥੪੦॥
has has doaoo alingan dehee |40|
Employing eighty-four position they were rejoicing sexually.(40)
ਕੇਲ ਕਰਤ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
kel karat duhitaa lakh paaee |
ਜਾਗ︀ਯੋ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਨ ਕੇ ਰਾਈ ॥
jaagayo krodh nripan ke raaee |
When the Raja saw the girl frolicking in lovemaking,
ਅਬ ਹੀ ਇਨ ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨ ਗਹਿ ਲੈਹੈਂ ॥
ab hee in duhoonan geh laihain |
ਮਾਰਿ ਕੂਟਿ ਜਮ ਲੋਕ ਪਠੈਹੈਂ ॥੪੧॥
maar koott jam lok patthaihain |41|
He planned to beat them up and send them to the domain of death.(41)

ਊਖਾ ਨਿਜੁ ਪਿਤੁ ਕੇ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਨੈਨ ਰਹੀ ਨਿਹੁਰਾਇ ॥
aookhaa nij pit ke nirakh nain rahee nihuraae |
On seeing, her father has arrived, she put her eyes down in shame. And said (to the lover),
ਕਰਿਯੈ ਕਛੂ ਉਪਾਇ ਅਬ ਲੀਜੈ ਮੀਤ ਬਚਾਇ ॥੪੨॥
kariyai kachhoo upaae ab leejai meet bachaae |42|
‘Please think of some remedy to save our honour.’(42)
ਉਠਿ ਅਨਰੁਧ ਠਾਢੋ ਭਯੋ ਧਨੁਖ ਬਾਨ ਲੈ ਹਾਥ ॥
autth anarudh tthaadto bhayo dhanukh baan lai haath |
Anuradh got up and took his bow and arrows in his hand.
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸੁਭਟ ਝਟਪਟ ਕਟੇ ਅਮਿਤ ਬਿਕਟ ਬਲ ਸਾਥ ॥੪੩॥
pragatt subhatt jhattapatt katte amit bikatt bal saath |43|
He cut off many imperishable brave fighter.(143)
ਭੁਜੰਦ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujand chhand |
ਪਰਿਯੋ ਲੋਹ ਗਾੜੋ ਮਹਾ ਜੁਧ ਮਚਿਯੋ ॥
pariyo loh gaarro mahaa judh machiyo |
ਲਏ ਪਾਰਬਤੀ ਪਾਰਬਤੀ ਨਾਥ ਨਚਿਯੋ ॥
le paarabatee paarabatee naath nachiyo |
ਗਹੇ ਸੂਲ ਸੈਥੀ ਸਭੈ ਸੂਰ ਧਾਏ ॥
gahe sool saithee sabhai soor dhaae |
ਮਹਾਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਤੁੰਦ ਬਾਜੀ ਨਚਾਏ ॥੪੪॥
