Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਰੜਾਵੈ ਬਿਲਲਾਵੈ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ॥

ararraavai bilalaavai nindak |

The slanderer cries out and bewails.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਬਿਸਰਿਆ ਅਪਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਾਵੈ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

paarabraham paramesar bisariaa apanaa keetaa paavai nindak |1| rahaau |

He has forgotten the Supreme Lord, the Transcendent Lord; the slanderer reaps the rewards of his own actions. ||1||Pause||

ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਨਾਲੇ ਲਏ ਸਿਧਾਵੈ ॥

je koee us kaa sangee hovai naale le sidhaavai |

If someone is his companion, then he shall be taken along with him.

ਅਣਹੋਦਾ ਅਜਗਰੁ ਭਾਰੁ ਉਠਾਏ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਅਗਨੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਜਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥

anahodaa ajagar bhaar utthaae nindak aganee maeh jalaavai |1|

Like the dragon, the slanderer carries his huge, useless loads, and burns in his own fire. ||1||

ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਕੈ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਜਿ ਹੋਇ ਬਿਤੀਤੈ ਸੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥

paramesar kai duaarai ji hoe biteetai su naanak aakh sunaavai |

Nanak proclaims and announces what happens at the Door of the Transcendent Lord.

ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਇ ਬਿਗਸਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੧੦॥

bhagat janaa kau sadaa anand hai har keeratan gaae bigasaavai |2|10|

The humble devotees of the Lord are forever in bliss; singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, they blossom forth. ||2||10||
