ਲੀਹਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਚਲੀਐ ਜਿਉ ਗਾਡੀ ਰਾਹੁ ।

leehaa andar chaleeai jiau gaaddee raahu |

As, a coach on the highway goes through the beaten tracks,

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਿਬਾਹੁ ।

hukam rajaaee chalanaa saadhasang nibaahu |

In the holy congregation one goes on abiding with the divine ordinance (hukam) and will of the Lord.

ਜਿਉ ਧਨ ਸੋਘਾ ਰਖਦਾ ਘਰਿ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਹੁ ।

jiau dhan soghaa rakhadaa ghar andar saahu |

As, the wise person keeps money intact at home

ਜਿਉ ਮਿਰਜਾਦ ਨ ਛਡਈ ਸਾਇਰੁ ਅਸਗਾਹੁ ।

jiau mirajaad na chhaddee saaeir asagaahu |

And the deep ocean leaves not its general nature;

ਲਤਾ ਹੇਠਿ ਲਤਾੜੀਐ ਅਜਰਾਵਰੁ ਘਾਹੁ ।

lataa hetth lataarreeai ajaraavar ghaahu |

As the grass is trampled under the feet,

ਧਰਮਸਾਲ ਹੈ ਮਾਨਸਰੁ ਹੰਸ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਵਾਹੁ ।

dharamasaal hai maanasar hans gurasikh vaahu |

Like this (earth) inn is the Manasarovar and the disciples of the Guru are swans

ਰਤਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਖਾਹੁ ।੧੪।

ratan padaarath gur sabad kar keeratan khaahu |14|

Who in the form of kirtan, singing of the holy hymns, eat the pearls of the Word of the Guru.
