Aasaa, Fourth Mehl:

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥

merai man tan prem naam aadhaar |

The Love of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Support of my mind and body.

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀ ਨਾਮੋ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

naam japee naamo sukh saar |1|

I chant the Naam; the Naam is the essence of peace. ||1||

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਜਨ ਸੈਨਾ ॥

naam japahu mere saajan sainaa |

So chant the Naam, O my friends and companions.

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਲੈਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

naam binaa mai avar na koee vaddai bhaag guramukh har lainaa |1| rahaau |

Without the Naam, there is nothing else for me. By great good fortune, as Gurmukh, I have received the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਜੀਵਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥

naam binaa nahee jeeviaa jaae |

Without the Naam, I cannot live.

ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੨॥

vaddai bhaag guramukh har paae |2|

By great good fortune, the Gurmukhs obtain the Naam. ||2||

ਨਾਮਹੀਨ ਕਾਲਖ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥

naamaheen kaalakh mukh maaeaa |

Those who lack the Naam have their faces rubbed in the dirt of Maya.

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

naam binaa dhrig dhrig jeevaaeaa |3|

Without the Naam, cursed, cursed are their lives. ||3||

ਵਡਾ ਵਡਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਗ ਕਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

vaddaa vaddaa har bhaag kar paaeaa |

The Great Lord is obtained by great good destiny.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੪॥੫੬॥

naanak guramukh naam divaaeaa |4|4|56|

O Nanak, the Gurmukh is blessed with the Naam. ||4||4||56||
