ਤਹਾ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਸਿਖ︀ਯ ਸਭ ਅਮਿਤ ਪਹੂੰਚੇ ਆਇ ॥

tahaa hamaare sikhay sabh amit pahoonche aae |

At the place, a number of our Sikh volunteers arrived.

ਤਿਨੈ ਦੈਨ ਕੋ ਚਾਹਿਯੈ ਜੋਰਿ ਭਲੋ ਸਿਰਪਾਇ ॥੪॥

tinai dain ko chaahiyai jor bhalo sirapaae |4|

There arose the need of giving them the robes of honour.(4)

ਨਗਰ ਪਾਵਟੇ ਬੂਰਿਯੈ ਪਠਏ ਲੋਕ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥

nagar paavatte booriyai patthe lok bulaae |

Some persons were sent to the city of Paonta.

ਏਕ ਪਾਗ ਪਾਈ ਨਹੀ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਪਹੁਚੇ ਆਇ ॥੫॥

ek paag paaee nahee nihafal pahuche aae |5|

But could not find even one turban and they came back disappointed.(5)
