ਮੇਲਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਢਹਿ ਪਏ ਦੁਆਰਿਆ ॥

mel laihu deaal dteh pe duaariaa |

Unite with me, O Merciful Lord; I have fallen at Your Door.

ਰਖਿ ਲੇਵਹੁ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਬਹੁ ਹਾਰਿਆ ॥

rakh levahu deen deaal bhramat bahu haariaa |

O Merciful to the meek, save me. I have wandered enough; now I am tired.

ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਿਆ ॥

bhagat vachhal teraa birad har patit udhaariaa |

It is Your very nature to love Your devotees, and save sinners.

ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ਬਿਨਉ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਾਰਿਆ ॥

tujh bin naahee koe binau mohi saariaa |

Without You, there is no other at all; I offer this prayer to You.

ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰਿਆ ॥੧੬॥

kar geh lehu deaal saagar sansaariaa |16|

Take me by the hand, O Merciful Lord, and carry me across the world-ocean. ||16||
