ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਾਖਿ ਲਈ ॥

The Perfect Guru has has saved me.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੇ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

amrit naam ride meh deeno janam janam kee mail gee |1| rahaau |

He has enshrined the Ambrosial Name of the Lord within my heart, and the filth of countless incarnations has been washed away. ||1||Pause||

ਨਿਵਰੇ ਦੂਤ ਦੁਸਟ ਬੈਰਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਾ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾਪੁ ॥

nivare doot dusatt bairaaee gur poore kaa japiaa jaap |

The demons and wicked enemies are driven out, by meditating, and chanting the Chant of the Perfect Guru.

ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਚਾਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾ ਬਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥

kahaa karai koee bechaaraa prabh mere kaa badd parataap |1|

What can any wretched creature do to me? The radiance of my God is gloriously great. ||1||

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਰਖੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

simar simar simar sukh paaeaa charan kamal rakh man maahee |

Meditating, meditating, meditating in remembrance, I have found peace; I have enshrined His Lotus Feet within my mind.

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੯੮॥

taa kee saran pario naanak daas jaa te aoopar ko naahee |2|12|98|

Slave Nanak has entered His Sanctuary; there is none above Him. ||2||12||98||
