ਜਬ ਚਾਰੋ ਈ ਬੀਰ ਹਨੇ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਤਬ ਅਉਰਨ ਸਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਯੌ ਉਚਰੈ ॥

jab chaaro ee beer hane ran mai tab aauran siau har yau ucharai |

ਅਬ ਕੋ ਭਟ ਹੈ ਹਮਰੇ ਦਲ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ਜੁਧ ਕਰੈ ॥

ab ko bhatt hai hamare dal mai ih saamuhe jaae kai judh karai |

When all the four warriors were killed in the war, then Krishna said to the other warriors, “Who is now so powerful to confront the enemy,

ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੋ ਧਾਇ ਕੈ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ਘਾਇ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਲਰੈ ਨ ਡਰੈ ॥

at hee balavaan so dhaae kai jaae kai ghaae karai su larai na ddarai |

ਸਬ ਸਿਉ ਇਮ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਕੋਊ ਹੈ ਅਰਿ ਕੋ ਬਿਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕਰੈ ॥੧੨੯੭॥

sab siau im sayaam pukaar kahiyo koaoo hai ar ko bin praan karai |1297|

“And falling upon this extremely mighty warrior Samar Sigh and kill him while fighting fearlessly with him?” Krishna said to all of them loudly, “Is there anyone who can make the enemy lifeless?”1297.

ਰਾਛਸ ਥੋ ਇਕ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਸੋਊ ਚਲ ਕੈ ਅਰਿ ਓਰ ਪਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

There was one demon in the army of Krishna, who marched forward towards the enemy

ਕ੍ਰੂਰਧੁਜਾ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਜਗ ਸੋ ਤਿਹ ਸੋ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

kraooradhujaa tih naam kahai jag so tih so ih bhaat uchaariyo |

His name was Karurdhvaja, he said to Samar Singh on going near him,

ਮਾਰਤ ਹੋ ਰੇ ਸੰਭਾਰੁ ਅਬੈ ਕਹਿ ਯਾ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਧਨੁ ਬਾਨ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

maarat ho re sanbhaar abai keh yaa bateeyaa dhan baan sanbhaariyo |

“I am going to kill you, therefore save yourself

ਤਾ ਸਮਰੇਸ ਕੋ ਬਾਨ ਹਨਿਯੋ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਠਉਰ ਮਨੋ ਕਈ ਦਿਵਸ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੨੯੮॥

taa samares ko baan haniyo rahiyo tthaur mano kee divas ko maariyo |1298|

” Saying this, he held out his bow and arrows and knocked down Samar Singh, who seemed to have lain dead for several days.1298.
