ਗ੍ਵਾਰ ਕਹੀ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪੈ ਇਕ ਤਾਲ ਬਡੋ ਤਿਹ ਪੈ ਫਲ ਹਛੇ ॥

gvaar kahee binatee har pai ik taal baddo tih pai fal hachhe |

One day the gopas requested Krishna saying that there is a tank, where there are planted many fruit trees

ਲਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਮੁਖ ਕੀ ਕਰੂਆ ਜਹ ਦਾਖ ਦਸੋ ਦਿਸ ਗੁਛੇ ॥

laaeik hai tumare mukh kee karooaa jeh daakh daso dis guchhe |

Adding that the bunches of wine there are very fit to be eaten by him

ਧੇਨੁਕ ਦੈਤ ਬਡੋ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਇ ਕਿਧੋ ਹਨਿ ਲੋਗਨ ਕੇ ਉਨ ਰਛੇ ॥

dhenuk dait baddo tih jaae kidho han logan ke un rachhe |

But there lives a demon named Denuka, who kills the people

ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਮਨੋ ਮਧਰੇਾਂਦ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਨੈ ਉਠਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਸਮੈ ਵਹ ਭਛੇ ॥੧੯੭॥

The same demon protects that tank he catches the sons of the people at night and getting up at dawn, he devours them.197.
