Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਹਾਥ ॥

gur poore raakhiaa de haath |

Giving His Hand, the Perfect Guru has protected the child.

ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਭਇਆ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥

pragatt bheaa jan kaa parataap |1|

The glory of His servant has become manifest. ||1||

ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਜਪੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥

gur gur japee guroo gur dhiaaee |

I contemplate the Guru, the Guru; I meditate on the Guru, the Guru.

ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਹਿ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jeea kee aradaas guroo peh paaee | rahaau |

I offer my heart-felt prayer to the Guru, and it is answered. ||Pause||

ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰੇ ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥

saran pare saache guradev |

I have taken to the Sanctuary of the True Divine Guru.

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇਵ ॥੨॥

pooran hoee sevak sev |2|

The service of His servant has been fulfilled. ||2||

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥

jeeo pindd joban raakhai praan |

He has preserved my soul, body, youth and breath of life.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੩॥੮॥੧੦੨॥

kahu naanak gur kau kurabaan |3|8|102|

Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru. ||3||8||102||
