ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੇਰੈ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਨੇਰੈ ॥

so prabh nerai hoo te nerai |

God is the nearest of the near.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਗਾਇ ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਸਾਝ ਸਵੇਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

simar dhiaae gaae gun gobind din rain saajh saverai |1| rahaau |

Remember Him, meditate on Him, and sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, day and night, evening and morning. ||1||Pause||

ਉਧਰੁ ਦੇਹ ਦੁਲਭ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੇਰੈ ॥

audhar deh dulabh saadhoo sang har har naam japerai |

Redeem your body in the invaluable Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਘਰੀ ਨ ਮੁਹਤੁ ਨ ਚਸਾ ਬਿਲੰਬਹੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਨਿਤਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਹੇਰੈ ॥੧॥

gharee na muhat na chasaa bilanbahu kaal niteh nit herai |1|

Do not delay for an instant, even for a moment. Death is keeping you constantly in his vision. ||1||

ਅੰਧ ਬਿਲਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਹੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਕਿਆ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਰਿ ਤੇਰੈ ॥

andh bilaa te kaadtahu karate kiaa naahee ghar terai |

Lift me up out of the dark dungeon, O Creator Lord; what is there which is not in Your home?

ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਆਨਦ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੈ ॥੨॥੧੨॥ ਛਕੇ ੨ ॥
