ਉਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਕਰਤੀ ਕੇਲ ॥
aun kai sang too karatee kel |
With that, you are engaged in playful sport;
ਉਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਲ ॥
aun kai sang ham tum sang mel |
with that, I am joined to you.
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਊ ਲੋਰੈ ॥
auna kai sang tum sabh koaoo lorai |
With that, everyone longs for you;
ਓਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਊ ਮੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਜੋਰੈ ॥੧॥
os binaa koaoo mukh nahee jorai |1|
without it, no one would even look at your face. ||1||
ਤੇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਕਹਾ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
te bairaagee kahaa samaae |
Where is that detached soul now contained?
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਤੁਹੀ ਦੁਹੇਰੀ ਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tis bin tuhee duheree ree |1| rahaau |
Without it, you are miserable. ||1||Pause||
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਹਿ ਮਾਹਰਿ ॥
auna kai sang too grih meh maahar |
With that, you are the woman of the house;
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਾਹਰਿ ॥
auna kai sang too hoee hai jaahar |
with that, you are respected.
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੂ ਰਖੀ ਪਪੋਲਿ ॥
auna kai sang too rakhee papol |
With that, you are caressed;
ਓਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਛੁਟਕੀ ਰੋਲਿ ॥੨॥
os binaa toon chhuttakee rol |2|
without it, you are reduced to dust. ||2||
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਾਨੁ ਮਹਤੁ ॥
auna kai sang teraa maan mehat |
With that, you have honor and respect;
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮ ਸਾਕੁ ਜਗਤੁ ॥
auna kai sang tum saak jagat |
with that, you have relatives in the world.
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਥਾਟੀ ॥
auna kai sang teree sabh bidh thaattee |
With that, you are adorned in every way;
ਓਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਮਾਟੀ ॥੩॥
os binaa toon hoee hai maattee |3|
without it, you are reduced to dust. ||3||
ਓਹੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
ohu bairaagee marai na jaae |
That detached soul is neither born, nor dies.
ਹੁਕਮੇ ਬਾਧਾ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
hukame baadhaa kaar kamaae |
It acts according to the Command of the Lord's Will.
ਜੋੜਿ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਥਾਪਿ ॥
jorr vichhorre naanak thaap |
O Nanak, having fashioned the body, the Lord unites the soul with it, and separates them again;
ਅਪਨੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪਿ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੮੨॥
apanee kudarat jaanai aap |4|31|82|
He alone knows His All-powerful creative nature. ||4||31||82||
