Kaydaaraa, Fifth Mehl:

ਰਸਨਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਬਖਾਨੁ ॥

rasanaa raam raam bakhaan |

With your tongue, chant the Name of the Lord.

ਗੁਨ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ਉਚਾਰੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਭਏ ਕਲਮਲ ਹਾਨ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

gun goupaal uchaar din rain bhe kalamal haan | rahaau |

Chanting the Glorious Praises of the Lord, day and night, your sins shall be eradicated. ||Pause||

ਤਿਆਗਿ ਚਲਨਾ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਪਤ ਕਾਲੁ ਸਿਰ ਪਰਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥

tiaag chalanaa sagal sanpat kaal sir par jaan |

You shall have to leave behind all your riches when you depart. Death is hanging over your head - know this well!

ਮਿਥਨ ਮੋਹ ਦੁਰੰਤ ਆਸਾ ਝੂਠੁ ਸਰਪਰ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੧॥

mithan moh durant aasaa jhootth sarapar maan |1|

Transitory attachments and evil hopes are false. Surely you must believe this! ||1||

ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥

sat purakh akaal moorat ridai dhaarahu dhiaan |

Within your heart, focus your meditation on the True Primal Being, Akaal Moorat, the Undying Form.

ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਲਾਭੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਸਤੁ ਇਹ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥੨॥੩॥੧੧॥

naam nidhaan laabh naanak basat ih paravaan |2|3|11|

Only this profitable merchandise, the treasure of the Naam, O Nanak, shall be accepted. ||2||3||11||
