Third Mehl:

ਏ ਮਨ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਿਖ ਸੁਣਿ ਪਾਇਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥

e man gur kee sikh sun paaeihi gunee nidhaan |

O mind, listening to the Guru's Teachings, you shall obtain the treasure of virtue.

ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਜਾਇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥

sukhadaataa terai man vasai haumai jaae abhimaan |

The Giver of peace shall dwell in your mind; you shall be rid of egotism and pride.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੨॥

naanak nadaree paaeeai amrit gunee nidhaan |2|

O Nanak, by His Grace, one is blessed with the Ambrosial Nectar of the treasure of virtue. ||2||
