ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Sorat'h, Fifth Mehl:

ਜਿਤੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਇਆ ॥

jit paarabraham chit aaeaa |

The Supreme Lord God has established that home,

ਸੋ ਘਰੁ ਦਯਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥

so ghar day vasaaeaa |

In which He comes to mind.

ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

sukh saagar gur paaeaa |

I found the Guru, the ocean of peace,

ਤਾ ਸਹਸਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

taa sahasaa sagal mittaaeaa |1|

And all my doubts were dispelled. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥

har ke naam kee vaddiaaee |

This is the glorious greatness of the Naam.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈ ॥

aatth pehar gun gaaee |

Twenty-four hours a day, I sing His Glorious Praises.

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

gur poore te paaee | rahaau |

I obtained this from the Perfect Guru. ||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥

prabh kee akath kahaanee |

God's sermon is inexpressible.

ਜਨ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

jan boleh amrit baanee |

His humble servants speak words of Ambrosial Nectar.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥

naanak daas vakhaanee |

Slave Nanak has spoken.

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਜਾਣੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੬੬॥

gur poore te jaanee |2|2|66|

Through the Perfect Guru, it is known. ||2||2||66||
