ਰਨ ਡਾਕਿਨਿ ਡਹਕਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਕਹਕਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਮਸਾਨ ॥

ran ddaakin ddahakat firat kahakat firat masaan |

Belching witches and howling ghosts started to roam around.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸੀਸਨ ਡੋਲਤ ਸੁਭਟ ਗਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਕਰਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ॥੪੦॥

bin seesan ddolat subhatt geh geh karan kripaan |40|

The heroes with decapitated heads went around the fields with swords in their hands.( 40)

ਅਸਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਕਾਢੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਰਹਿ ਸੁਭਟ ਸਮੁਹਾਇ ॥

as anek kaadte karan lareh subhatt samuhaae |

Numerous champions with unsheathed swords were fighting face to face,

ਲਰਿ ਗਿਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਭੂ ਪਰ ਪਰੈ ਬਰੈ ਬਰੰਗਨਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੪੧॥

lar gir mar bhoo par parai barai barangan jaae |41|

Raiding and combating to death, and praying to the Fairy goddess, rolled down on the earth.( 41)

ਅਨਤਰਯਾ ਜ︀ਯੋ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਕੋ ਚਹਤ ਤਰਨ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਉ ॥

anatarayaa jayo sindh ko chehat taran kar jaau |

The one who could not swim, how could he, without a boat and

ਬਿਨੁ ਨੌਕਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਤਰੈ ਲਏ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ਨਾਉ ॥੪੨॥

bin nauakaa kaise tarai le tihaaro naau |42|

Support of your Name, swim across the sea?(42)

ਮੂਕ ਉਚਰੈ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਖਟ ਪਿੰਗ ਗਿਰਨ ਚੜਿ ਜਾਇ ॥

mook ucharai saasatr khatt ping giran charr jaae |

How could a dumb narrate the Six Shastras, a lame person could climb

ਅੰਧ ਲਖੈ ਬਦਰੋ ਸੁਨੈ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਰੌ ਸਹਾਇ ॥੪੩॥

andh lakhai badaro sunai jo tum karau sahaae |43|

Up the mountains, a blind man could see, and a deaf could hear?( 43)

ਅਰਘ ਗਰਭ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਕੋ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ਜਾਇ ॥

aragh garabh nrip triyan ko bhed na paayo jaae |

The wonders of a child during pregnancy, a Raja and a female are unfathomable.

ਤਊ ਤਿਹਾਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਕਛੁ ਕਛੁ ਕਹੋ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੪੪॥

taoo tihaaree kripaa te kachh kachh kaho banaae |44|

With Your blessings I have narrated this, although with a bit of exaggeration.( 44)

ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਮਾਨਿ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਕਹੋ ਜਥਾ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥

pratham maan tum ko kaho jathaa budh bal hoe |

Believing You be the omnipresent, I say, that I have rendered this

ਘਟਿ ਕਬਿਤਾ ਲਖਿ ਕੈ ਕਬਹਿ ਹਾਸ ਨ ਕਰਿਯਹੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੪੫॥

ghatt kabitaa lakh kai kabeh haas na kariyahu koe |45|

With my limited understanding, and I prey not to laugh it off.( 45)

ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਧ︀ਯਾਇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਤੀ ਬਰਨੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ॥

pratham dhayaae sree bhagavatee baranau triyaa prasang |

To commence with, with devotion to the Reverend Faculty, I narrate the Female Wonders.

ਮੋ ਘਟ ਮੈ ਤੁਮ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਨਦੀ ਉਪਜਹੁ ਬਾਕ ਤਰੰਗ ॥੪੬॥

mo ghatt mai tum hvai nadee upajahu baak tarang |46|

O the Passionless Universal Prowess, enable me to render the waves of narrative through my heart.( 46)
