Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:
ਕੋਟਿ ਜਾਪ ਤਾਪ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥
kott jaap taap bisraam |
Millions of meditations and austerities rest in him,
ਰਿਧਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਸੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ॥
ridh budh sidh sur giaan |
along with wealth, wisdom, miraculous spiritual powers and angelic spiritual insight.
ਅਨਿਕ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਰਸੈ ॥
anik roop rang bhog rasai |
He enjoys the various shows and forms, pleasures and delicacies;
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸੈ ॥੧॥
guramukh naam nimakh ridai vasai |1|
the Naam, the Name of the Lord, dwells within the heart of the Gurmukh. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
har ke naam kee vaddiaaee |
Such is the glorious greatness of the Name of the Lord.
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
keemat kehan na jaaee |1| rahaau |
Its value cannot be described. ||1||Pause||
ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਧੀਰਜ ਮਤਿ ਪੂਰਾ ॥
soorabeer dheeraj mat pooraa |
He alone is brave, patient and perfectly wise;
ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਧੁਨਿ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰਾ ॥
sehaj samaadh dhun gahir ganbheeraa |
he is intuitively in Samaadhi, profound and unfathomable.
ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਾਮ ॥
sadaa mukat taa ke poore kaam |
He is liberated forever and all his affairs are perfectly resolved;
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥੨॥
jaa kai ridai vasai har naam |2|
the Lord's Name abides within his heart. ||2||
ਸਗਲ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਅਰੋਗ ॥
sagal sookh aanand arog |
He is totally peaceful, blissful and healthy;
ਸਮਦਰਸੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਨਿਰਜੋਗ ॥
samadarasee pooran nirajog |
he looks upon all impartially, and is perfectly detached.
ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਡੋਲੈ ਕਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
aae na jaae ddolai kat naahee |
He does not come and go, and he never wavers;
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਸੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੩॥
jaa kai naam basai man maahee |3|
the Naam abides in his mind. ||3||
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥
deen deaal goupaal govind |
God is Merciful to the meek; He is the Lord of the World, the Lord of the Universe.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਉਤਰੈ ਚਿੰਦ ॥
guramukh japeeai utarai chind |
The Gurmukh meditates on Him, and his worries are gone.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
naanak kau gur deea naam |
The Guru has blessed Nanak with the Naam;
ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਕਾਮੁ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੨੬॥
santan kee ttehal sant kaa kaam |4|15|26|
he serves the Saints, and works for the Saints. ||4||15||26||
