ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਾਮਿ ਅਬੈ ਚਲੀਯੈ ਹਮਰੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਕੁਬਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ॥

prabh dhaam abai chaleeyai hamare ih bhaat kahiyo kubajaa har so |

ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਮੁਖੁ ਦੇਖ ਕੈ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ਸੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਬਿਨ ਹੀ ਡਰ ਸੋ ॥

at hee mukh dekh kai reejh rahee su kahiyo nrip ke bin hee ddar so |

Kubja asked the Lord to go with her to her home, she was fascinated on seeing the face of Krishna, but she was also afraid of the king

ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨ︀ਯੋ ਕਿ ਮੋ ਮੈ ਰਹੀ ਬਸ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਸੋ ਛਰ ਸੋ ॥

har jaanayo ki mo mai rahee bas hvai ih bhaat kahiyo tih so chhar so |

ਕਰਿਹੌ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਸੁ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਕੰਸ ਕੋ ਕੈ ਬਧ ਹਉ ਬਰ ਸੋ ॥੮੩੧॥

karihau tumaro su manorath pooran kans ko kai badh hau bar so |831|

Krishna thought that she was allured on seeing him, but keeping her in illusion, the Lord (Krishan) said, “After killing Kansa, I shall fulfil your desire.”831.

ਕੁਬਜਾ ਕੋ ਸੁਵਾਰ ਕੈ ਕਾਜ ਤਬੈ ਪੁਨਿ ਦੇਖਨ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਮੈ ਅਨੁਰਾਗਿਯੋ ॥

kubajaa ko suvaar kai kaaj tabai pun dekhan ke ras mai anuraagiyo |

After finishing the task of Kubja, Krishna was absorbed in seeing the city

ਧਾਇ ਗਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਧਨੁ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕੋ ਸੋ ਦੇਖਨ ਲਾਗਿਯੋ ॥

dhaae gayo tih tthaur bikhai dhan sundar ko so dekhan laagiyo |

The place where the women were standing, he went there to see them

ਭ੍ਰਿਤਨ ਕੇ ਕਰਤੇ ਸੁ ਮਨੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਕੁਪਿ ਜਾਗਿਯੋ ॥

bhritan ke karate su manai har ke man mai at hee kup jaagiyo |

The spies of the king forbade Krishna, but he was filled with rage

ਗਾੜੀ ਕਸੀਸ ਦਈ ਧਨ ਕੋ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਧਨੁ ਭਾਗਿਯੋ ॥੮੩੨॥

gaarree kasees dee dhan ko drirr kai jih te nrip ko dhan bhaagiyo |832|

He pulled his bow with force and with its twang, the women of the king awoke with fear.832.

ਗਾੜੀ ਕਸੀਸ ਦਈ ਕੁਪਿ ਕੈ ਰੁਪਿ ਠਾਢ ਭਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਠਉਰ ਬਿਖੈ ॥

gaarree kasees dee kup kai rup tthaadt bhayo tih tthaur bikhai |

Getting enraged, Krishna created fear and stood on the same place

ਬਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਨੋ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਕਾਢ ਕੈ ਠਾਢੋ ਹੈ ਪੇਖੈ ਜੋਊ ਗਿਰੈ ਭੂਮਿ ਬਿਖੈ ॥

bar singh mano drig kaadt kai tthaadto hai pekhai joaoo girai bhoom bikhai |

He was standing like a lion gaping wide his eyes in wrath, whosoever saw him, fell on the ground

ਦੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਡਰਪਿਯੋ ਮਘਵਾ ਡਰਪਿਯੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਜੋਊ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖੈ ॥

dekhat hee ddarapiyo maghavaa ddarapiyo brahamaa joaoo lekh likhai |

Seeing this scene even Brahma and Indra were filled with fear

ਧਨੁ ਕੇ ਟੁਕਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਜੋਧਨ ਮਾਰਤ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਸੁ ਤਿਖੈ ॥੮੩੩॥

dhan ke ttukare sang jodhan maarat sayaam kahai at hee su tikhai |833|

Breaking his bow, Krishna began to kill with its sharp bits.833.
