ਕੇਤਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਬੀਤ ਜਬ ਗਏ ॥

ketak divas beet jab ge |

ਰੰਗ ਰਾਇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਬਚ ਭਏ ॥

rang raae simaran bach bhe |

A number of days passed by and the Raja forgot about his conversation.

ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੌ ਨੇਹ ਲਗਾਯੋ ॥

ek purakh sau neh lagaayo |

ਬਿਨਾ ਸਮਸ ਜਾ ਕੌ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੫॥

binaa samas jaa kau lakh paayo |5|

She fell in love with a man who had no beard and moustache.(5)

ਨਾਰੀ ਕੋ ਤਿਹ ਭੇਸ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥

naaree ko tih bhes banaayo |

ਰਾਜਾ ਸੌ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਜਤਾਯੋ ॥

raajaa sau ih bhaat jataayo |

She disguised him as woman and told the Raja like this,

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਤੇ ਬਹਿਨਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਆਈ ॥

grih te bahin hamaaree aaee |

ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਚਲਿ ਤਿਹ ਕਰੈ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੬॥

ham tum chal tih karai baddaaee |6|

‘My sister has come, let us go and felicitate her.(6)
