ਅਸਤਾਚਲ ਸੂਰਜ ਜਬ ਗਯੋ ॥

asataachal sooraj jab gayo |

ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀ ਦਿਸ ਤੇ ਸਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਯੋ ॥

praachee dis te sas pragattayo |

In the evening when the Sun set and the Moon rose from west,

ਭਾਗਵਤਿਨ ਉਪਜ︀ਯੋ ਸੁਖ ਭਾਰੋ ॥

bhaagavatin upajayo sukh bhaaro |

Then the lucky ones attained the supreme comforts, but the Moon-

ਬਿਰਹਿਣਿ ਕੌ ਸਾਇਕ ਸਸਿ ਮਾਰੋ ॥੬॥

birahin kau saaeik sas maaro |6|

Rays distressed the separated ones.(6)
