Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਿਟੀ ਤਿਆਸ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਧੇਰੇ ॥

mittee tiaas agiaan andhere |

My thirst, and the darkness of ignorance have been removed.

ਸਾਧ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਘ ਕਟੇ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥੧॥

saadh sevaa agh katte ghanere |1|

Serving the Holy Saints, countless sins are obliterated. ||1||

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਘਨਾ ॥

sookh sehaj aanand ghanaa |

I have obtained celestial peace and immense joy.

ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

gur sevaa te bhe man niramal har har har har naam sunaa |1| rahaau |

Serving the Guru, my mind has become immaculately pure, and I have heard the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||

ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਢੀਠਾ ॥

binasio man kaa moorakh dteetthaa |

The stubborn foolishness of my mind is gone;

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਲਾਗਾ ਮੀਠਾ ॥੨॥

prabh kaa bhaanaa laagaa meetthaa |2|

God's Will has become sweet to me. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਗਹੇ ॥

gur poore ke charan gahe |

I have grasped the Feet of the Perfect Guru,

ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਲਹੇ ॥੩॥

kott janam ke paap lahe |3|

and the sins of countless incarnations have been washed away. ||3||

ਰਤਨ ਜਨਮੁ ਇਹੁ ਸਫਲ ਭਇਆ ॥

ratan janam ihu safal bheaa |

The jewel of this life has become fruitful.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰੀ ਮਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੬੬॥

kahu naanak prabh karee meaa |4|15|66|

Says Nanak, God has shown mercy to me. ||4||15||66||
