SWAYYA

ਉਤ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਕੀ ਭੀ ਦਸਾ ਇਤ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕਥਾ ਭਈ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੁਨਾਊ ॥

aut te ih gvaaran kee bhee dasaa it kaanrah kathaa bhee taeh sunaaoo |

This was the condition of gopis on that side, on this side now I relate the condition of Krishna

ਲੀਪ ਕੈ ਭੂਮਹਿ ਗੋਬਰ ਸੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਸਭ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਗਾਊ ॥

leep kai bhoomeh gobar so kab sayaam kahai sabh purohit gaaoo |

All the priests were called in after plastering the earth with cow-dung.

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਬੈਠਾਇ ਕੈ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਕਬਿ ਪੈ ਗਰਗੈ ਸੁ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਠਾਊ ॥

kaanrah baitthaae kai sayaam kahai kab pai garagai su pavitreh tthaaoo |

The sage Garg was seated on the sacred spot

ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀ ਕੋ ਤਾਹਿ ਦਯੋ ਜੋਊ ਹੈ ਭੁਗੀਆ ਧਰਨੀਧਰ ਨਾਊ ॥੮੮੦॥

mantr gaaeitree ko taeh dayo joaoo hai bhugeea dharaneedhar naaoo |880|

That sage gave him (Krishna) the Gayatri mantra, which is the enjoyer of the whole earth.880.

ਡਾਰਿ ਜਨੇਊ ਸੁ ਸ︀ਯਾਮਿ ਗਰੈ ਫਿਰ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸੁ ਸ੍ਰਉਨ ਮੈ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

ddaar janeaoo su sayaam garai fir kai tih mantr su sraun mai deeno |

Krishna was made to wear the sacred thread and the mantra was given to him in his ear

ਸੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਗਰਗੈ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਨ ਕੋ ਧਨ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

so sun kai har paae pariyo garagai bahu bhaatan ko dhan deeno |

After listening to the mantra, Krishna bowed at the feet of Garg and gave him enormous wealth etc.

ਅਸ ਬਡੈ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਔ ਉਸਟ ਦਏ ਪਟ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਾਜ ਨਵੀਨੋ ॥

as baddai gajaraaj aau usatt de patt sundar saaj naveeno |

ਲਾਲ ਪਨੇ ਅਰੁ ਸਬਜ ਮਨੀ ਤਿਹ ਪਾਇ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਕੀਨੋ ॥੮੮੧॥

laal pane ar sabaj manee tih paae purohit aanand keeno |881|

He was given horses, big elephants, camels and beautiful garments. On touching the feet of Garg, he was, with great delight, given rubies, emeralds and jewels, in charity.881.

ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਧਨੁ ਲੈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

mantr purohit dai har ko dhan lai bahut man mai sukh paayo |

The priest was pleased on giving mantra to Krishna and receiving the wealth

ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸਬੈ ਦੁਖ ਕੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਆਨੰਦ ਬੀਚ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥

tiaag sabai dukh ko tab hee at hee man aanand beech badtaayo |

All his sufferings ended and he attained supreme bliss.

ਸੋ ਧਨ ਪਾਇ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਚਲਿ ਕੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਭੀਤਰ ਆਯੋ ॥

so dhan paae tahaa te chaliyo chal kai apune grih bheetar aayo |

After receiving the wealth, he came to his house

ਸੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿ ਭਏ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਦਾਰਿਦ ਦੂਰ ਪਰਾਯੋ ॥੮੮੨॥

so sun mitr prasan bhe grih te sabh daarid door paraayo |882|

Knowing all this, his friends were entremely pleased and all types of poverty of the sage were destroyed.882.
