ਗੁਰ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਅਮਾਉ ਹੈ ਲਖ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਸਮਾਉ ਕਰੰਦਾ ।
gur dareeaau amaau hai lakh dareeaau samaau karandaa |
Guru is such an immeasurable ocean that millions of rivers are absorbed in it.
ਇਕਸ ਇਕਸ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਵਿਚਿ ਲਖ ਤੀਰਥ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਵਹੰਦਾ ।

Millions of pilgrimage centres are there on each river and in each stream millions of waves are raised by nature.
ਇਕਤੁ ਇਕਤੁ ਵਾਹੜੈ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਲਖ ਤਰੰਗ ਉਠੰਦਾ ।
eikat ikat vaaharrai kudarat lakh tarang utthandaa |
In that Guru-ocean myriad jewels and all the four ideals (dharma, arth, kam and moks) moves around in the form of fish.
ਸਾਇਰ ਸਣੁ ਰਤਨਾਵਲੀ ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਮੀਨ ਤਰੰਦਾ ।

All these things are not equal even to one wave (one sentence) of the Guru-ocean.
