ਗੁਰ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਅਮਾਉ ਹੈ ਲਖ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਸਮਾਉ ਕਰੰਦਾ ।

gur dareeaau amaau hai lakh dareeaau samaau karandaa |

Guru is such an immeasurable ocean that millions of rivers are absorbed in it.

ਇਕਸ ਇਕਸ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਵਿਚਿ ਲਖ ਤੀਰਥ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਵਹੰਦਾ ।

eikas ikas dareeaau vich lakh teerath dareeaau vahandaa |

Millions of pilgrimage centres are there on each river and in each stream millions of waves are raised by nature.

ਇਕਤੁ ਇਕਤੁ ਵਾਹੜੈ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਲਖ ਤਰੰਗ ਉਠੰਦਾ ।

eikat ikat vaaharrai kudarat lakh tarang utthandaa |

In that Guru-ocean myriad jewels and all the four ideals (dharma, arth, kam and moks) moves around in the form of fish.

ਸਾਇਰ ਸਣੁ ਰਤਨਾਵਲੀ ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਮੀਨ ਤਰੰਦਾ ।

saaeir san ratanaavalee chaar padaarath meen tarandaa |

All these things are not equal even to one wave (one sentence) of the Guru-ocean.

ਇਕਤੁ ਲਹਿਰ ਨ ਪੁਜਨੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਅੰਤ ਲਹੰਦਾ ।

eikat lahir na pujanee kudarat ant na ant lahandaa |

The mystery of the extent of His power is unknowable.

ਪਿਰਮ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਇਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਅਜਰੁ ਜਰੰਦਾ ।

piram piaale ik boond guramukh viralaa ajar jarandaa |

The unbearable drop of the cup of love can be cherished by any rare gurmukh.

ਅਲਖ ਲਖਾਇ ਨ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖੰਦਾ ।੧੩।

alakh lakhaae na alakh lakhandaa |13|

The Guru himself sees that imperceptible Lord, who is not visible to others.
