ਐਸੇ ਜਤਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਟਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

aise jatan nripat ko ttaariyo |

ਛਾਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਇਕ ਨਰ ਪੈਠਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

chhaat bikhai ik nar paitthaariyo |

Thus she made the Raja to go away from the place, and assigned another person to sit on the roof-top.

ਸਾਧੁ ਸਾਧੁ ਇਹ ਬਚ ਸੁਨਿ ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ॥

saadh saadh ih bach sun kahiyahu |

ਤੀਨ ਬਾਰ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਚੁਪ ਰਹਿਯਹੁ ॥੮੬॥

teen baar keh kai chup rahiyahu |86|

Saying three times, ‘listen to the Saint’s words,’ then kept quiet.(86)

ਨ੍ਰਹਾਇ ਧੋਇ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਬ ਆਯੋ ॥

nrahaae dhoe raajaa jab aayo |

ਤਬ ਤਿਹ ਨਰ ਯੌ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥

tab tih nar yau bachan sunaayo |

When Raja came back after bathing then he uttered the words,

ਸੁਨੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਬ ਮਾਟੀ ਮੈ ਲਈ ॥

sun nrip jab maattee mai lee |

ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜ ਆਗ︀ਯਾ ਮੁਹਿ ਦਈ ॥੮੭॥

dharam raaj aagayaa muhi dee |87|

‘Listen, when I had died, it was done with the consent of the Lord of Righteousness.’(87)
