ਰਾਤਿ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਭਈ ਅਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਤਿ ਭਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਰਾਤਿ ਤਬੈ ਚੜਿ ਆਏ ॥

raat biteet bhee ar praat bhee fir raat tabai charr aae |

ਛਾਡਿ ਦਏ ਹਥਿ ਫੂਲ ਹਜਾਰ ਦੋ ਊਭੁਚ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਧਰ ਐਸਿ ਫਿਰਾਏ ॥

chhaadd de hath fool hajaar do aoobhuch prayodhar ais firaae |

The night passed, the day dawned and again the night fell and then during that night, the fireworks were displayed, scattering the colour of thousands of flowers

ਅਉਰ ਹਵਾਈ ਚਲੀ ਨਭ ਕੋ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥

aaur havaaee chalee nabh ko upamaa tin kee kab sayaam sunaae |

ਦੇਖਹਿ ਕਉਤਕ ਦੇਵ ਸਬੈ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਮਨੋ ਕਾਗਦ ਕੋਟਿ ਪਠਾਏ ॥੩੩॥

dekheh kautak dev sabai tih te mano kaagad kott patthaae |33|

Seeing the flying fireworks in the sky, the poet Shyam says this figuratively that it appear to him that the gods were flying the citadels of paper in the sky, seeing this miracle.33.

ਲੈ ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਕੋ ਅਗ੍ਰ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਕੰਸਹਿ ਕੇ ਚਲਿ ਧਾਮ ਗਏ ਹੈ ॥

lai basudev ko agr purohit kanseh ke chal dhaam ge hai |

ਆਗੇ ਤੇ ਨਾਰਿ ਭਈ ਇਕ ਲੇਹਿਸ ਗਾਗਰ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਡਾਰਿ ਦਏ ਹੈ ॥

aage te naar bhee ik lehis gaagar panddit ddaar de hai |

The priests taking Vasudev with them, are going towards the home of Kansa and seeing a beautiful woman in front of them, the Pundits caused her metallic pitcher to fall

ਡਾਰਿ ਦਏ ਲਡੂਆ ਗਹਿ ਝਾਟਨਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਸੋਊ ਵੇ ਤੋ ਭਛ ਗਏ ਹੈ ॥

ddaar de laddooaa geh jhaattan taa ko soaoo ve to bhachh ge hai |

ਜਾਦਵ ਬੰਸ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਦਿਸ ਤੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਅਨੇਕਿਕ ਹਾਸ ਭਏ ਹੈ ॥੩੪॥

jaadav bans duhoon dis te sun kai su anekik haas bhe hai |34|

From which the sweetmeats have fallen out with a jerk they have taken up and eaten these sweetmeats knowing all about it, both the sides of Yadava clan have been ridiculed in various ways.34.
