Malaar, Fifth Mehl:

ਘਨਿਹਰ ਬਰਸਿ ਸਗਲ ਜਗੁ ਛਾਇਆ ॥

ghanihar baras sagal jag chhaaeaa |

The clouds have rained down all over the world.

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhe kripaal preetam prabh mere anad mangal sukh paaeaa |1| rahaau |

My Beloved Lord God has become merciful to me; I am blessed with ecstasy, bliss and peace. ||1||Pause||

ਮਿਟੇ ਕਲੇਸ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਸਭ ਬੂਝੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥

mitte kales trisan sabh boojhee paarabraham man dhiaaeaa |

My sorrows are erased, and all my thirsts are quenched, meditating on the Supreme Lord God.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਧਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

saadhasang janam maran nivaare bahur na katahoo dhaaeaa |1|

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, death and birth come to an end, and the mortal does not wander anywhere, ever again. ||1||

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਾਤਉ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇਆ ॥

man tan naam niranjan raatau charan kamal liv laaeaa |

My mind and body are imbued with the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord; I am lovingly attuned to His Lotus Feet.

ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਓ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਰਣਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੭॥੧੧॥

angeekaar keeo prabh apanai naanak daas saranaaeaa |2|7|11|

God has made Nanak His Own; slave Nanak seeks His Sanctuary. ||2||7||11||
