Maajh, Fifth Mehl:
ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
ot pot sevak sang raataa |
Through and through, the Lord is intermingled with His servant.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
prabh pratipaale sevak sukhadaataa |
God, the Giver of Peace, cherishes His servant.
ਪਾਣੀ ਪਖਾ ਪੀਸਉ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੀ ਕਾ ਆਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
paanee pakhaa peesau sevak kai tthaakur hee kaa aahar jeeo |1|
I carry the water, wave the fan, and grind the grain for the servant of my Lord and Master. ||1||
ਕਾਟਿ ਸਿਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
kaatt silak prabh sevaa laaeaa |
God has cut the noose from around my neck; He has placed me in His Service.
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
hukam saahib kaa sevak man bhaaeaa |
The Lord and Master's Command is pleasing to the mind of His servant.
ਸੋਈ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਮਾਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
soee kamaavai jo saahib bhaavai sevak antar baahar maahar jeeo |2|
He does that which pleases his Lord and Master. Inwardly and outwardly, the servant knows his Lord. ||2||
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਨਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥
toon daanaa tthaakur sabh bidh jaaneh |
You are the All-knowing Lord and Master; You know all ways and means.
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣਹਿ ॥
tthaakur ke sevak har rang maaneh |
The servant of the Lord and Master enjoys the Love and Affection of the Lord.
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਸੋ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਾਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
jo kichh tthaakur kaa so sevak kaa sevak tthaakur hee sang jaahar jeeo |3|
That which belongs to the Lord and Master, belongs to His servant. The servant becomes distinguished in association with his Lord and Master. ||3||
ਅਪੁਨੈ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਰਾਇਆ ॥
apunai tthaakur jo pahiraaeaa |
He, whom the Lord and Master dresses in the robes of honor,
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਲੇਖਾ ਪੁਛਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ॥
bahur na lekhaa puchh bulaaeaa |
Is not called to answer for his account any longer.
ਤਿਸੁ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸੋ ਗਹਿਰ ਗਭੀਰਾ ਗਉਹਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੮॥੨੫॥
tis sevak kai naanak kurabaanee so gahir gabheeraa gauhar jeeo |4|18|25|
Nanak is a sacrifice to that servant. He is the pearl of the deep and unfathomable Ocean of God. ||4||18||25||
