ROOAAL STANZA BY THE GRACE
ਬੋਲਿ ਬਿਪਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਨ ਜਗ ਕੀਨ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
bol bipan mantr mitran jag keen apaar |
The Brahmins began the performance of the sacrifice by the recitation of auspicious mantras
ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਅਉਰ ਉਪਿੰਦ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੈ ਬੋਲਿ ਕੈ ਮੁਖ ਚਾਰ ॥
eindr aaur upindr lai kai bol kai mukh chaar |
Brahma, Indra and other gods were also invited.
ਕਉਨ ਭਾਤਨ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਅਬ ਜਗ ਕੋ ਆਰੰਭ ॥
kaun bhaatan keejeeai ab jag ko aaranbh |
“In what way, the sacrifice be began now?” the king asked again,
ਆਜ ਮੋਹਿ ਉਚਾਰੀਐ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਅਸੰਭ ॥੧॥੩੩੪॥
aaj mohi uchaareeai sun mitr mantr asanbh |1|334|
“O friends, give me to-day, thy advice in this impossible errand.”1.334.
ਮਾਸ ਕੇ ਪਲ ਕਾਟਿ ਕੈ ਪੜਿ ਬੇਦ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਅਪਾਰ ॥

The friend advised that the flesh chopped into bits alongwith the recitation of mantras,
ਅਗਨਿ ਭੀਤਰ ਹੋਮੀਐ ਸੁਨਿ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਜ ਅਬਿਚਾਰ ॥
agan bheetar homeeai sun raaj raaj abichaar |
Be burnt in the sacrificial fire the king was asked to listen and act without any other thoughts
ਛੇਦਿ ਚਿਛੁਰ ਬਿੜਾਰਾਸੁਰ ਧੂਲਿ ਕਰਣਿ ਖਪਾਇ ॥
chhed chichhur birraaraasur dhool karan khapaae |
The goddess had killed the demons named Chithar and Biraal and destroyed Dhoolkaran
ਮਾਰ ਦਾਨਵ ਕਉ ਕਰਿਓ ਮਖ ਦੈਤ ਮੇਧ ਬਨਾਇ ॥੨॥੩੩੫॥
maar daanav kau kario makh dait medh banaae |2|335|
After killing the demons she performed the demon-sacrifice.2.335.
ਤੈਸ ਹੀ ਮਖ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਸੁਨਿ ਰਾਜ ਰਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ॥
tais hee makh keejeeai sun raaj raaj prachandd |
“Listen, O most Glorious Sovereign, thou shouldst perform the sacrifice in that way
ਜੀਤਿ ਦਾਨਵ ਦੇਸ ਕੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਖੰਡ ॥
jeet daanav des ke balavaan purakh akhandd |
“O mighty and perfect Lord, therefore conquer all the demons of the country
ਤੈਸ ਹੀ ਮਖ ਮਾਰ ਕੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਫਿਰਾਇ ॥
tais hee makh maar kai sir indr chhatr firaae |
“Just as the goddess having killed the demons, held the canopy over the head of Indra,
ਜੈਸ ਸੁਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਿਵ ਸੰਤ ਹੋਹੁ ਸਹਾਇ ॥੩॥੩੩੬॥
jais sur sukh paaeo tiv sant hohu sahaae |3|336|
“And made all the gods happy, similarly Thou mayst help the saints.”3.336.
