ਮਚਿਯੌ ਤੁਮਲ ਜੁਧ ਤਹ ਭਾਰੀ ॥

machiyau tumal judh teh bhaaree |

ਨਾਚੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥

naache soorabeer hankaaree |

The ruinous war was ensued and the braves enacted the war dance.

ਤਾਨਿ ਧਨੁਹਿਯਨ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਚਲਾਵਤ ॥

taan dhanuhiyan bisikh chalaavat |

ਮਾਇ ਮਰੇ ਪਦ ਕੂਕਿ ਸੁਨਾਵਤ ॥੨੪॥

maae mare pad kook sunaavat |24|

With fully stretched bows, they came into action and dying braves yelled for their mothers.(24)

ਜਿਹ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਨ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥

jih bachitr de baan lagaavai |

ਵਹੈ ਸੁਭਟ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਧਾਵੈ ॥

vahai subhatt mrit lok sidhaavai |

When an arrow hit some one, that brave departed for heavens.

ਜਾ ਪਰ ਤਮਕਿ ਤੇਗ ਕੀ ਝਾਰੈ ॥

jaa par tamak teg kee jhaarai |

ਤਾ ਕੋ ਮੂੰਡ ਕਾਟਿ ਹੀ ਡਾਰੈ ॥੨੫॥

taa ko moondd kaatt hee ddaarai |25|

When some one received the stroke of sword, he got his head severed.(25)

ਕਾਹੂ ਸਿਮਟਿ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਹਨੈ ॥

kaahoo simatt saihathee hanai |

ਏਕ ਸੁਭਟ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨ ਗਨੈ ॥

ek subhatt man maeh na ganai |

Some became the victims of her dagger as she did not consider anyone of them credit worthy.

ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਰ ਬਿਬਾਨ ਚੜਿ ਸਾਰੇ ॥

dekhai sur bibaan charr saare |

ਚਟਿਪਟ ਸੁਭਟ ਬਿਕਟ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥੨੬॥

chattipatt subhatt bikatt katt ddaare |26|

All the gods were watching from their aero-chariots, how rapidly the intrepid were annihilated.(26)

ਗੀਧਨ ਕੋ ਮਨ ਭਯੋ ਅਨੰਦੰ ॥

geedhan ko man bhayo anandan |

ਆਜੁ ਭਖੈ ਮਾਨਸ ਕੇ ਅੰਗੰ ॥

aaj bhakhai maanas ke angan |

ਦਹਿਨੇ ਬਾਏ ਜੋਗਿਨਿ ਖੜੀ ॥

dahine baae jogin kharree |

ਲੈ ਪਾਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੋਨਤ ਕਹ ਅੜੀ ॥੨੭॥

ਮਾਰੂ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਦਿਸਨ ਮੈ ਬਾਜੈ ॥

maaroo duhoon disan mai baajai |

ਦੁਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਭਟ ਸਾਜੈ ॥

duhoon or sasatran bhatt saajai |

ਊਪਰ ਗਿਧ ਸਾਲ ਮੰਡਰਾਹੀ ॥

aoopar gidh saal manddaraahee |

ਤਰੈ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਜੁਧ ਮਚਾਹੀ ॥੨੮॥
