ਨਿਜ ਫਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੀਨੋ ਉਜੀਆਰਾ ।

nij fate bulaaee satiguroo keeno ujeeaaraa |

Himself, the True Guru invoked Fateh, the greeting of victory, and spread the divine light.

ਝੂਠ ਕਪਟ ਸਭ ਛਪਿ ਗਏ ਸਚ ਸਚ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ।

jhootth kapatt sabh chhap ge sach sach varataaraa |

The falsehood and maliciousness vanished and truth triumphed.

ਫਿਰ ਜਗ ਹੋਮ ਠਹਿਰਾਇ ਕੈ ਨਿਜ ਧਰਮ ਸਵਾਰਾ ।

fir jag hom tthahiraae kai nij dharam savaaraa |

Desisting from the (rituals of) Yajana and Havana, righteousness was promoted.

ਤੁਰਕ ਦੁੰਦ ਸਭ ਉਠ ਗਇਓ ਰਚਿਓ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ।

turak dund sabh utth geo rachio jaikaaraa |

All the contention of Turks were eliminated, and the (Khalsa) ovation was permeated.

ਜਹ ਉਪਜੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਹਾਂ ਬਲੀ ਖਾਲਸ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਾ ।

jeh upaje singh mahaan balee khaalas niradhaaraa |

Thus were promulgated Singhs, the emphatic and the righteous ones.

ਸਭ ਜਗ ਤਿਨਹੂੰ ਬਸ ਕੀਓ ਜਪ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰਾ ।

sabh jag tinahoon bas keeo jap alakh apaaraa |

The whole world was brought to order and they meditated upon the magnanimous invisible.

ਗੁਰ ਧਰਮ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜਗ ਚਮਕਿਓ ਮਿਟਿਓ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ ।

gur dharam simar jag chamakio mittio andhiaaraa |

Deliberating on the Guru's Righteous-path, (celestial) light beamed and the darkness (of the ignorance) was effaced.

ਤਬ ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਿਉਂ ਬਸਿਓ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ।

tab kusal khem aanand siaun basio sansaaraa |

And then the happiness, welfare and bliss prospered in the whole world.

ਹਰਿ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੰਤਰ ਅਗੰਮ ਜਗ ਤਾਰਨਹਾਰਾ ।

har vaahiguroo mantar agam jag taaranahaaraa |

The emancipator Guru (advanced) the incantation of Har, Wahiguru, God the Supreme, Har, Wahiguru.

ਜੋ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਨਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸਿਉ ਪਹੁਂਚੈ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ।

jo simareh nar prem siau pahunchai darabaaraa |

The ones who meditates with devotion, realise the sublime court.

ਸਭ ਪਕੜੋ ਚਰਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਛਾਡੋ ਜੰਜਾਰਾ ।

sabh pakarro charan gobind ke chhaaddo janjaaraa |

Embrace (you) all at the Guru's feet and get red of the perplexities.

ਨਾਤਰੁ ਦਰਗਹ ਕੁਟੀਅਨੁ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਕੂੜਿਆਰਾ ।

naatar daragah kutteean manamukh koorriaaraa |

Only the egocentric and the false ones get punished in the Righteous Court.

ਤਹ ਛੁਟੈ ਸੋਈ ਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੈ ਸਭ ਤਜੈ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ।

teh chhuttai soee ju har bhajai sabh tajai bikaaraa |

Only they, who ponder over Har, accomplish the astral heights and the rest remain fruitless.

ਇਸ ਮਨ ਚੰਚਲ ਕਉ ਘੇਰ ਕਰਿ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ ।

eis man chanchal kau gher kar simarai karataaraa |

By controlling the inconsistent mind, remember the Creator.

ਤਬ ਪਹੁੰਚੈ ਹਰਿ ਹੁਕਮ ਸਿਉਂ ਨਿਜ ਦਸਵੈਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ।

tab pahunchai har hukam siaun nij dasavain duaaraa |

Then with the heavenly command, one overwhelms the tenth door (of inner soul),

ਫਿਰ ਇਉਂ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਭੇਟੈ ਗਗਨ ਮੈ ਆਤਮ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਾ ।

fir iaun sahije bhettai gagan mai aatam niradhaaraa |

And intuitively presents himself in the Godly domain for spiritual judgement.

ਤਬ ਵੈ ਨਿਰਖੈਂ ਸੁਰਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ।

tab vai nirakhain surag meh aanand suhelaa |

Sequentially, in the heaven, his spiritual evaluation is appreciated.

ਵਾਹ ਵਾਹ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਚੇਲਾ ।੧੮।
